Under Weight Help Advice Anything

Can you give me advice on helping my underweight girlfriend gain weight?

My girlfriend and I are college roommates (sophomores) and for a long time we were just friends. When she met her last bf, she was really skinny and underweight because she got really depressed because the guy before that cheated on her. She was originally really fit and toned, she looked perfect. She even did some fitness modeling. So like I said, she was underweight when she was with her last boyfriend. And as time went by she returned back to her normal fit self and was 5'5 and 120 pounds with basically no fat, all muscle. I only know this because we go to the gym together all the time, she even helped me bulk up. Then he told her that she looked fat and was embarrassing to be with in public. He would literally tell her when she was eating to stop or when she would try to eat something, he would tell her not to. She got back into her unhealthy ways and started losing weight again. A few of her friends (including me) convinced her to break up with him like 3 weeks later because he was an ***hole.

That was a little over a month ago and she's still underweight, she's 102 pounds right now. She was 95 but I kept telling her that she was beautiful but would he happier, look better, have more energy if she gained weight. And that I wanted her to be healthy. She said she would gain 3 more pounds to be healthy for me, but that's it. And I don't think she'll try beyond that. She does eat better but it's still been a slow process and sometimes she does try to go a day or two without eating and only does because I make her.

What can I do for her? By the way, don't say treatment center because like I said we're in college and we go to a very expensive school. She can barely afford her living costs now.

I think my Bird may be underweight/sick any advice?

My bird is a green cheeked conure, she's two or three years old and I've had her for about a year and a half of those years.

My dilemma is this:
Kindle-my bird- seems small to me compared to other conures I've seen. I can't decide if her chest/tummy is round enough to be considered healthy. When I weighed her on a gram scale we have, she was on the small side, but not underweight. Also, she has patchy looking feathers on her shoulders.

I'm feeding her a diet of pellets with a tiny bit of seed/millet. I also give her fruit and veggies throughout the day, as well as things like bread and even plain, unsalted popcorn from time to time. I don't give her all these things 24/7, but I make sure to include them in her diet when I can, especially the fruits and veggies. And as far as handling and what not for the feathers (I think she might be plucking them) I take her out daily, she sits on my shoulders while I read or do homework , I let her wobble around on the counters when I'm in the kitchen, and I make sure to spend time sitting and just holding her and talking to her.

My question is this, Is there any way I can make her diet better or help her gain some weight, or is there something I'm doing wrong or should be doing? I live in a small town in Tennessee so Avian vets really aren't even an option I have so I would love for some advice please. Thank you.

Need worming advice on new underweight yearling.?

Monday night i went to a local sale and ended up buying a "loose" (meaning, just run threw the sale) yearling paint pony filly for $65. The horses she came in with, well their manure was heavy with worms and she is quite skinny, Possibly a 3 on the henneke scale. We wormed her with Ivermectin for a 250 lb horse on Tuesday morning. The worms in her manure are almost hairlike and close to invisible unless you really look. I see the obvious white ones but also found some reddish brown ones that i have never seen in a horse before.. ??

Other than that any advice on when to worm again..
and also how long does it take for the medicine to completely wipe them out so she can start gaining weight back.

thanks!

I am underweight but I think donate blood can help others, what to do?

Gain weight. giving blood is an honor and I give whenever I can. but I completely understand the risk with not physically having enough blood to function after you've given. If you are only a fwe pounds underweight, splurge a little bit. eat out a little more often( red meat will increase your iron content which is necessary).

If you are more than ten pounds under weight or you just don't think you could live with gaining any weight, you can always give plasma. You can only give one part of the three in your blood, but you can give three times as often, and some places will even pay you for plasma. Afterwards, they put the otehr two parts pack into your system so you're not losing as much blood(though that sounds really not fun to me)
