Nature-inspired last names?
I'm changing my last name. I want something feminine, bold, and beautiful. Something uncommon, made up. Examples of what I like: Rosewood Indigo Bluebird Everhart I've checked name generators, baby name sites, and everything is so bland. Can you help me come up with some things?
What are the best Greek names for a restaurant?
Having lived in Greece for a mini lifetime. As well as living in other countries other than my own. This is what I’ve noticed. The majorty of the names of such restaurants are usually: “Greek Taverna”, “Random-Name Taverna”, “Taverna”, “Apollo”, “Spiros”, “Acropolis”, etc.Personally, I would steer clear of any ethnic leanings with names. I’d go with a number of your building (14, 300, 1200), name of the street it’s on (Regent, Touvlo, London Road), or area (Marylebone, Ekali, 5th & Baker)or … something very simple, yet elegant out of the box thinking (Karioli). Imagine the hostess upon greeting a customer on the phone;“Hello, Karioli, how may I help you?”
Uncommon but beautiful Greek girl names?
Areti An ancient Greek name which means 'virtue' in Greek She was a minor Goddess in Greek mythology. Also in the story of Hercules, Hercules was walking and saw 2 paths on the road, one on the left and the other on the right. On each path there was a woman walking towards him. On the right path it was Areti - and on the left one - it was Kakia (means evil in Greek) ...each woman offered him things to allure him to choose her path. At the end he chose Areti which represented taking the harder but more honest way of life to live by instead of an easy way but of evil and dishonesty
Unusual and unique, Artsy full names for girls?!?
Ryker Riperia Ryker Sacrofonte Ryker Wiscardus (All of them are latin surnames. Extremely unique. If you want something more common, then I suggest an alliteration. Suc as: Ryker Reynolds, Ryker Rodney, Ryker Rivers, Ryker Rougemont (french for "red mountain") or perhaps Ryker Rock- which sounds pretty funny - ) Okay, now for the girls i made some research on latin, greek and other uncommon names aswell, for i believe that if you want something really unique and special an uncommon, beautiful and meaningful name is best. So here I'll write some names i think that are nice with their respective meaning: Agatha ( greek. Meaning "good") Angelia (latin. meaning "angel" or "messenger") Athena (greek. meaning "mind of god". Greek goddess of wisdom.) Dulcinea - Dulcea ( both are latin and both mean "sweet") Monica ( latin. meaning "advise" or "counsel") Blenda (latin. meaning "dazzling bright") Celestine (latin. meaning "heavenly") Katarina (latin. meaning "pure and virginal") Lelia (latin. meaning "lily") Levana (latin. meaning "risen") Regina (latin. meaning "queen") Susanna ( latin. meaning "lily") Valentina (latin. meaning "love") Zaria (latin. meaning "princess) Luna (spanish. meaning "moon"- which can be "mysterious" and "beautiful") Gianna (Italian. meaning "gracious") Now that you have seen them all, perhaps you find more than one of them beautiful enough to use as your protagonist's name. Here i will write some full names using the first names above. Ps: i will try to use most of them and i will always use a middle name for i like to play with names :) I will also use common, very rare and foreign last names and middle names (it gives your character uniqueness): Agatha Noelle Bouvier Athena Marie Allen Dulcinea Charlotte Le feuvre (PS: i really like this combination. Charlotte means "femenine") Blenda Rose Edeson Celestine Abigail Chevalier (PS: this combination literally means "heavenly source of joy") Katarina Rose Wright Lelia Annabelle Clayworth Regina Olivia Clark Susanna Belle Beauclerc (PS: literally means "beautiful lily") Luna Josephine Oaken Valentina Jeanne Gournay I personally like them. Hope you find them useful.:) good luck!
What are some really awesome Greek names for boys and girls?
Here are some favorites for girls. Some of these would work really well (like Athena) and some would be a little more daring, but perhaps still workable (like Calliope). Because the names are so uncommon, I would pair them with a more common middle name: Athena Claire Antigone Rose ("Annie") Calliope Jane ("Callie") Cassiopeia Marie ("Cassie") Thalia Grace Echo (I can never think of middle names for this one!) Daphne Violet Evadne Maria Persephone Helene ("Penny"?) Penelope Faith ("Penny") Leda Victoria Clio Juliet Boy names are harder. Maybe: Atlas Christopher Hector Clayton Damon Joseph Lysander James Perseus Alexander Andreas Dean Demetrius Clay Timon Alexander
