Unsure If I Should Go To The Hospital .

When should i go to hospital in labour!?

I would say that whenever you water breaks you need to get to the hospital because of the potential danger to your unborn child. However, waters don't always break. You should go to the hospital when your contractions are around 5 minutes apart and have been that way for 1-2 hours. Please be aware that your contractions may never be consistent - mine were never. I went to the hospital when I had been having contractions for 6 hours ranging from 9 minutes to 30 seconds apart. In active labor, my contractions were still between 9 minutes and 30 seconds apart. If you think you are in labor and it is not easing up, I would just go to the hospital. I went 2 times the week before I had my son only to be sent home and to be kept once. Good luck.

My grandma fell and hit her head, should she go to the ER?

My grandma fell and hit the back of her head against some wooden counters in the kitchen. She wasn't knocked unconscious and there was no blood BUT there's a pretty good knot. She's very stubborn and says she's fine and doesn't want to go to the ER or doctor, I'm unsure if it's necessary. But I am worried. Any advice? :/

I am 33 weeks and I'm not sure if my water broke or what I should do?

You can go into the doctor's or the hospital and get a test strip done where they test with a special paper strip that changes colour depending on if it's urine or your water breaking.

Most likely since it's so early, it's not your water. If there is a smell, if it's urine, it will have a bit of urine smell, but if it's amniotic fluid, it will have a bit of a sweet smell - the problem is, you just probably haven't paid that much attention to the smells coming out of there so you won't be too sure what's normal (been there, done that!), You can also start having alot of extra vaginal fluid too which feels kinda the same.

When my water broke, it kept coming out - and the nurses asked how much fluid came out - 1/4 cup, about 1/2 a cup or what...so that's quite a bit of fluid to go unnoticed, and I remember having a bit of bloody show then as well (not much at first), and I also remember walking around with a towel between my legs because it kept trickling. As well, for my second child I heard a loud POP (weird) and then nothing, but then when I sat up it came'a gushin', and they determined at the hospital that only some of my membranes broke, so that was still quite a noticeable scene for me if it was only one sack then.

Anyway, that's my story - I remember feeling like I was "leaking" or trickling alot and going into the doctor right away to get tested with the strip, and my Doc told me the same - could be urine, body fluids or losing my mucus plug.

EDIT: oh yeah, and I would go to the bathroom when my water broke to see if when I peed I could stop the leak (which I couldn't stop completely) and also wore a large pad to see how much I was leaking.
