My new iPhone 5 won't activate without a sim card in it?
GSM devices require a SIM card unlocked or not.

Go with the Htc one. It is by far the best phone on the market right now. Processor, audio, video wise nothing compares to it. you could also wait and see what the droid max looks like, I hear its supposed to be pretty comparable. But as of right now go with the one. anything else is a waste of money.
Is 8GB enough for an iPhone 5c?
I would suggest that you get an iPhone with a higher capacity. The amount of memory that you will actually have is around 6 or 7 GB. That combined with the fact that the download size for iOS 8 was 4.6 GB is enough to convince me that you should have a higher capacity. Although if you are going to get it anyway here are some tips to keep yourself from going crazy. When you have to update your phone don't just start deleting things, instead plug your phone into your computer and download the update through iTunes. Use Google drive, DropBox, and Amazon Cloud storage to store your photos, and other files in the cloudGet a higher data plan with your phone carrier Instead of downloading music on your device use spotify to stream it (will use more data)Every once in a while clear the memory your apps use by going into settings menuI hope this answers your question. Samsung Note 3 or iPhone 5?
Samsung phones r totally better than iphones. So much more powerful and packed with features. Iphones and htc one r simple phones and not very customizable.. the s4 is amazing but I believe the samsung galaxy note 2 is the best phone in the world right now. Similar to the s4 in features but better, the s pen stylus is so useful I couldnt imagine a phone without one now. And its not too big, fits in yr pocket fine and once uv had a large screen u ll never go back. The trouble with iphone and htc one is u cant remove the battery, with samsung if yr running low on charge, just swap to a spare battery and carry on. The iphone battery is rubbish u ll get half a day. with the s4 and htc one u ll go a full day between charges maybe more. With the note 2 u ll go 2 days between charges. Iphone and htc one doesnt support micro sd memory card. With samsung u can buy a relatively cheap sd card and boost yr phones memory buy upto 64gb, thats tones of pictures videos and music. The android app store is full of free apps, with apple app store u ll be paying for more apps. Check out the youtube and online reviews of the s4 and note 2to see how good they are.. also check out the online comparisons of iphone and samsung... samsung always beats iphone. Samsung and htc one comparisons come out even.. If u buy a samsung watch daily tips and tricks for either s4 or note 2 on youtube to get to know yr phone. Also get player fm app and listen to android app addicts pod cast to get the most out of android. If the note 2 is the best phone in world today the note 3 will be simply amazing... check out the youtube reviews of the note 3.
Can a old sim card slow down cellphone performance?
I've used the sim card for about 3 years, my phone gets dropped sometimes..now, my texts arrive late or it does not arrive at all... what could be the problem? the sim or the phone? or both?

How can I get extra storage on my iPhone?
You cannot get more storage without replacing the phone. There are options though. If you enable iCloud photos, you get 5 gigs of free storage on iCloud that can keep the full resolution images of photos and videos, and the version on your phone will be optimized for your phone, thus taking up less space. You can also signup for drop box, google drive, or other cloud storage solutions and put your photos / videos up there. You should also remove any applications that you do not need.Lastly, if you signup for iTunes Match, you can delete all your music from your phone, and stream them through iCloud. Many music collections are several gigabytes in size so this is a great option, provided you have a large enough data plan to handle the streaming.I use iTunes Match, and that frees up nearly 20 Gigs of storage, and I now have full access to all my music, not just a subset that I sync to my phone. I'm on t-Mobile so my music streaming is free data, so it works for me. When I know I will be off the network for a while (like when I go on trips) I have iTunes Match download just the few playlists I want and am able to play those songs offline.
