Upgrading My Phone This Month. Should I Get The Iphone 5s Or The Iphone 6

Is it worth upgrading to iPhone XS from iPhone 6?

I answered a question similar to this but will answer this as well.I have recently helped someone upgrade there phone from the iPhone 5 to the 6s plus. There biggest issue was the monthly cost of the phone and the size of the screen. I managed to get them a deal for £28 a month for iPhone 6s plus and 10gb of data. The equivalent XS was (at cheapest) £62 a month. A huge difference for a phone that the person was only going to use for checking emails, reading books and keeping contact with family and friends. The only real reason for someone to upgrade to latest phone is if you either have the disposable income to purchase one or if you use your phone for most things, be it a camera, for gaming surfing web or whatever else the user may want.Phones have been gradually increasing in value and are now getting to the point where many people aren't able to afford the latest phone. Often the increase in quality is not massive so a phone hat is 1 or 2 years old is more than capableof keeping up with demands of most users.

Should I upgrade my phone from an iPhone 6 Plus to a Note 8?

It’s 2017, we should understand the fact that Apple and Samsung as companies have evolved over years, and the offerings from both have different vision and varied audience.I personally like Apple because I really love the perfection, execution of details and importantly that seamless experience across all devices I own. Because the hardware and software ecosystem is built by them and is so guarded, hardly things go wrong, it simply works - you should try to experience it, don’t listen to people who rant against Apple or for Apple, including me :)Samsung, let’s be honest, the phones before Galaxy series were absolutely miserable! but over the years, the company has become more mature, focused, and I think they now have a vision - Samsung was really unfortunate with Galaxy Note 7, but I must confess that it was one good looking, well designed, powerful phone.I guess, it all comes down to your persona, taste, interests and expectation - all you have to do is just try and pick the best for yourself, gone are the days where one could have answered generally - which is the best of the two - both have pros and cons, what's better for you only you know!

Is it worth upgrading from an iPhone 5 to an iPhone 6?

Yes obviously you should!Considering your use, iPhone 6 should be perfect for you!It has a better camera, bigger and better display, faster processor and the best bigger battery. You said that you have to charge your iPhone 5 twice a day, the battery on the iPhone 6 lasts a day of normal use but considering your use you may have to charge in the evening. But if you can wait for 2 months than you should definitely wait for 6s.

I own an iPhone 5, should I upgrade to iPhone 6s or iPhone 7?

It depends on your budget. I'm shifting from an iPhone 5C to the 6s in a week, and my reasons for doing so areMoney - The 6s is cheaper than the iPhone 7, so for me on a budget, I can afford the 6s and some headphones/accessories for the same price as the 7.Camera Quality - The iPhone 7 has a better camera than the 6s. So if you plan to click a lot of professional pictures on your phone, or you're just fond of good smartphone cameras, then the 7 is for you. I generally need the phone camera for point-and-shoot casual pictures, a little video and mostly just casual random photography. The 6s serves more than enough for that.Headphone Jack - The iPhone 7 lacks a headphone jack. While this is fine if you use wireless headphones or have just one pair of headphones that you use that you can plug the adapter into, or you're fine with the lightning earpods that come in the box, then there's no worry. I generally end up using more than a pair of headphones and I’m sure I'd lose an adapter very easily.Water Resistance - The iPhone 7 is water resistant. So, if you're out on adventure or are prone of your phone getting wet easily, then I'd recommend 7. My phone hardly ever ends up in water, so the 6s was okay for me.So yeah, these are broad categories that might help you in making your decision.EDIT: Writing this on my iPhone 7, because the store didn't have the 6s I wanted and offered me a hefty discount, so it all fell into place. Destiny is real, and I stand corrected.

Should I upgrade to the iphone 7?

I currently have the iPhone 5s and my contract expires in August but I wanted to wait it out to see the 7. I don't know if I should get the 6s or 7. I feel like since the 7 is the first that it will have problems. My family says wait for the 7s but apparently they might skip it and go right to the iPhone 8. I don't know which phone to get.

I have an iPhone 5s, which iPhone should I upgrade to the 6s, 7 or 8? I am a jobless teenager so money is important.

Thanks for the A2A.The short answer is that you have two main options:buy the one you can afford right nowsave/earn/raise money for the want you’d really want and wait until thenEach new iPhone model has more features and is more future-proof than the previous one. It’s hard to give you any recommendation without knowing your specific needs and expectations.Having said that, I’d skip the iPhone 6S, if at all possible budget-wise, because there is no guarantee it will run smoothly with or even be supported by future versions of iOS.Putting aside the current #iPhoneSlow saga, newer releases of iOS will inevitably require more resources or special hardware features over time. This is why the iPhone 4 is stuck at iOS 7.1.2 and the iPhone 5 at iOS 10.This means that, at one point, the A9 processor and the 2 GB of RAM of the iPhone 6S will have a harder time coping with future versions of iOS.In addition, once an iPhone does not receive any iOS updates anymore, it is not safe to use it, period. When could this happen? Impossible to say right now.But I would not be surprised that this could happen when iOS 14 gets released in 2020.Hope this helps!Edited to correct the latest iOS version supported by the iPhone 5.

I want to upgrade my iPhone 5s plan to an iPhone 6s but I still have 6 months remaining on the contact. Do you know around the price it would cost if I wanted to upgrade?

You said contract. I presume you're in a 2yr contract then. Your best bet is to login to manage your account and look at your upgrade eligibility. That will tell you if it's going to be less expensive to pay off the contract or pay the early upgrade fee. This close to the end of the contract, I would lean toward paying off the contract which would make you upgrade eligible right away. If you have trouble logging in or finding your eligibility, give tech support a call. Customer service should also provide that information.
