First time cheerleading flyer tips?

the basics are to keep your butt up and never look down. in one legged stunts, always keep ALL your weight in your standing leg. for flexibility positions, have someone stretch you against a wall. have your stomach to the wall, and have the person helping you raise each of your legs as high as possible. do this for arabesques and scorpions. when doing the scorpion, try and grab your leg. always make sure your standing leg is completely locked and your stretching leg is directly behind you. for heel stretches, do the same thing but have your back to the wall. you can also just get up on chaires and hold positions to improve your balance. practice stepping up on the chair with one leg and pulling a lib or position as opposed to steeping on with both legs and just pulling. hope this helped! good luck!

Is it legal or Illegal to bring a Bo Staff on a bus?

Your question is one that I have much experience with. In most states, there is a specific limit and spirit (inferred law/intent) to what does, and what does not qualify as a weapon. Typically, a Bo staff in any state is classified as a Misdemeanor up to a Felony crime "weapon illegal to carry to go armed". Seeing as how a Bo staff has very specific uses, most which are seen as 'Violent', and you will be traveling via the public transportation system, they would throw the book at you in most courts. I would not suggest that you do this excepting you wish to go to jail.

It may not seem fair, but it is a post 9/11 world. For specific limits and law queries, you should visit your state's respective .gov website. i.e. http://www.tn.gov (Tennessee) where the TN is your states two letter abbreviation.

In Karate, what does the word Asah mean ?

I thought "Hai" meant yes, but there could be more than one word for yes.

Asahi - means sun

Asah - don't know

Tae Kwon Do - Korean commands?

The word your instructor says "Chiri" must be tch'aryot (It's the phonetic way to say it) (차렷)
It means "Attention" like the military command.

Chiri is not a Korean word, the closest thing would be chirida (to be cold) or chiria, meaning Syria. Unless it's tchiri, that would be something like topography, so not that as well... :)

I noticed that many people pronounce Korean words badly or write them wrong. No wonder why Koreans can't understand anything when instructors issue a command (I'm in Sillicon Valley where there are a lot of Koreans, I can tell when they don't get it :) ) It's all good to have internet access to have the terminology but the problem is that anyone can write their mistaken terminology and since it's on the net people will trust it.

Some people even misspell Taekwon-do... some writes taikwondo or taekwando.

Anyways, the word you probably looking for if it’s right after “tch'ariot” and require the students to answer from the teacher “Taekwon” would be “Kyong ryea” (경례) but the r sound is almost not pronounced so it would become the continuation sound of kyong with yea so ng-yea. It means “salute” like the military command. Many words used in Taekwon-do are from military commands, since it has been created by a General.

Note to octopus:
You pretty accurate on the list of Korean pronunciation, however you have one mistake
For yaseot, it’s yeoseot 여섯 this character: ㅓ is eo, but if you double the small horizontal line it adds the “y” in front, so it’s yeo ㅕ

Funny you have that mistake because I saw a list of USA ITF list of words and they had the same one :)

Here are some links:

http://www.learnkoreanlanguage.com/taekwondo-terms.html (this one has the terminology in Korean characters, so if one day you learn the characters and what the pronunciation is you'll know how to exactly say it)
