Selling iPhone 4s on usell.com ...is this a scam?

I seen the usell.com commercial so I went on the website and I seen bids for my iPhone.. the highest bid was for $330 and i clicked on it. I signed it up, then they sent me an email saying that they will send me a uSell box in 3-7 days to ship my Sprint iPhone to them... once they receive it, they said they will email me to notify that it is good, then send me my check for $330. Has anyone ever sold phones on this site before? Was it a scam? ..and how long did it take them to send your check after you have received the email?

How does "Find my iPhone" app work?

there are currently 2 answers & while both are right they are not the full story.gps yes that works quiet wellwifi, remember when google done street view? they also logged what wifi they could see, if you are in your house and can see 2 neighbours wifi (one from up the street & one from down the street) but if you were to go one house one house up you are nolonger in range of one of them. then THAT can narrow down the area you are in based on how many wifi signals you can seesure google is not the only one that has been doing this but they are the most well knowncell towers using the same method as with wifi, by seeing what towers your phone can find it narrows down where you could behere is a image giving an idea of how this worksmost places have more than one tower in range so it gives an idea of the area, the more towers the smaller the area.now add wifi to this and the area becomes smaller.gps works on a similar concept based on what satellites it can currently find & what distance they are away

Where is the best place to sell a broken iPhone?

There are plenty of options out there to sell your iPhone. Each has its up and down. Craigslist allows to earn instant cash, but you have to do a lot of bargaining and it could unsafe. It’s almost impossible to sell something on eBay and Amazon these days if you’re not a big seller. It’s very hard to post the product and it can end up taking weeks. You also have to pay a service fee on eBay totaled 12% of your product price and wait a few days to get paid.Usell works about the same way as eBay and Amazon, but it’s a little better as it lets you sell the product directly to vendors. The best option is to use a trade-in company that lets you create instant quote and provides you with a free-shipping label. Gazelle is the pioneer for these types of companies, but my favorite is Stopoint.com.Stopoint pays within 24 hours in PayPal- the only company that offers this service. They also pay a little more than their competitors. In their website, it shows if you opt to get receive a check, it’ll be received within 3 business days. The industry standard is usually 7 to 10, so Stopoint thrives in this area.My advice is: it depends on what you want. iF you don’t mind doing a lot of bargaining and unafraid to meet strangers, use Craigslist. If you want to do it yourself and don’t care about waiting for a few weeks, then use Amazon, eBay, Swappa, etc… If you want an instant quote, use the other trade-in companies though I strongly recommend Stopoint.com their rapid service and the better price they offer.

How should I determine the price for a phone that I want to sell?

eBay is the gold standard because it will show you real time transactions.  But this assumes you sell the phone yourself on eBay or Craig's List or in a private transaction.  Here is how to determine the price using eBay.Go to eBay. Type in the name of your phone and the carrier in the search box.  For example - iPhone 5 Verizon.  Then go to the check bar on the left and click on more specifics about your phone: model, storage, color (yes color changes value), condition (used), shipping (free), and show only (completed listings).  Then take a look at the results and you should see a common range of sale prices.  Subtract $8 for the cost of the shipping from the value of the phone. Here is a picture of my iPhone 6 search.Alternatively, if you want a no hassle way to sell your phone you can go to a site like Gazelle (Buy and Sell Used Cell Phones and Electronics) or uSell  (Sell Your Phone | Trade In Your Electronics | uSell.com) and sell your phone to them.  You won't get as much selling to the online buyers but it is an easy, no hassle alternative. All of this assumes that your phone is in 100% working condition and there are no cracks to the casing or screen.  If this isn't the case then you need to read the phone descriptions carefully because you will not get full price.
