USPS Lost my package?

I ordered $65 worth of tee-shirts from a website. I received a tracking number and tracked it until it reached my hometowns post office. On the 18th of this month it said "Out For Delivery". I thought awesome my package is on its way. The mail came. No package. So I called my local post office. The guy there said it was "weird" because it was scanned in my post office that morning. He said he would look around and call me back when all the mail carriers got back. So around 6 I get a call from the post office guy saying he talked to all the mail carriers and no one had my package. I didn't get a note on my mailbox or door. I looked all over my yard thinking the mailman might have put it in a bush or under the porch. For the record they have never done this before, I live in a low risk of theft area and usually the package is delivered right on the porch or in my mailbox. So he tells me the carrier didn't have it and he couldn't find it but he said maybe there was a chance it got shipped to their main facility and to give him until the 22nd. So I call on the 22nd and my package was not shipped to the main facility and seems to have disappeared into thin air and they are going to have to do some more investigating. I can still track it and all it says is "delivery status not updated". So it has been 3 business days (not including Sunday and MLK day) since my package was out for delivery. What should I do?

First you need to call this number 1(800) 222-1811 to let the USPS know there is a problem and they will do what they can to fix it. Call at these times for a live operator. 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time (6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. CST) Monday through Friday
9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time (8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. CST) Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays (2008 Postal Holidays)
Give them as much as information as you can such as the Custom Form number and anything they ask for, make sure you have your receipt with you when you call.
As for the seller, all you can do is reassure them you are doing all you can possibly do to find out what happen to the Package. But be prepared to give them a refund if the package is lost.
Next time insure the packages you send, it would be worth it regardless which carrier you send it.

Some priority and priority international services have indemnity coverage and some don't. Priority Flat Rate small boxes don't. Call USPS Postal Inspectors at 1-888-877-7644 and press 3 and file a lost package report,give them the address it was shipped to and from and the tracking number or go to the website and file a lost package report. I would do both.

USPS Late Delivery or Package Lost?

Given that your package has to clear customs in the Maldives, 5 - 7 days is just an estimate. Customs clearance times are not predictable and can be very lengthy. I've had things go through almost i mmediately and a few that took up to 8 weeks. The delays are more likely to occur when the customs paperwork is not filled out completely or is incorrect, when there's a question of duty owed on the package, or when there is a question of the legality of importing the item.

At this point, it has left USPS hands, but it can't hurt to contact them. The package is more likely in Customs in the Maldives.

Missed my USPS package, and lost the notice slip?

I missed my USPS package while in class on Thursday, and found the missed package slip on my screen door. I, however, sadly lost the slip later that night and can't find it at all. The USPS man never returned when I waited all of yesterday (Friday), so I assume that must mean it's available at the Post Office for pick up? What do I do without that slip? Can I still get my package?

My package from Amazon lost due to USPS delivery...?

I was excited to recive my package from Amazon and I check to see up online on usps.com, but it told me that it was delivered....
I never receive my mail and never got a phone call or a pink slip that said missed the deliver... I live in an apartment and i think mailman left my package front of my apartment door... if this was true, can i get a claim... i don't have any proof... just nothing... i just want my delivery.... thanks
