Vans Hurt The Back Of My Feet Help

My Vans hurt my feet. Please help!?

I got new Vans yesterday. They are the 106 Vulc in turquoise. I got them from Journeys. But they rub on my heel/lower ankle really bad! I love them though, and they are only a little loose(the half size down was too snug) but I like them and need to break them in by Saturday(I'm going to new Orleans) I have other shoes, but I would rather wear my vans. So can someone please tell meow I can either stop it from hurting, or quickly break them in(there made our of canvas) THANKS<3

HELP!!! My Vans hurt my feet...?

vans are always like that when they are new.. just wear them more often and stretch them out and they'll be fine..

My vans hurt the back of my foot.?

hmmm.. mines do that too... so i try not to wear them. but if i have to, i just wear longer socks and make sure my jeans cover them so no one can see the socks. have u tried returning them to the store or tried exchanging them? maybe its just that one particular pair. good luck. let me know if you find any other way to take care of the problem!

Vans hurting back of my ankle?

I bought vans 8.5 vans authentic and my left foot is perfect fit but the right is alittle tight and when I walk or when I'm sitting down the back of the shoe will scrape against the back of my ankle above my heel? Should I just go with a size 9 instead?

Vans shoes are hurting my feet?

i have the same kind of problem i got just the right size but when i walk it hurts my feet.
they just need to be broken in. i would get blisters and my foot would be cut up so i wear bandaids until there broken in.

What should I do if my Vans Old Skool Platforms hurt the back of my ankles badly? How will I be able to break them in? It’s not because of the platform because I have a pair of normal Old Skools that hurt too. I got a half-size up for both.

Find the “point” in the back of the shoe what's causes the hurt. Put a towel on the outside of the backpart and a hammer with a small hammer the point on the inside flat.( Eventually protect the inside with a cloth) This should hopefully help. An old trick from my grandma!

Are Vans shoes bad for the feet?

It's apparent from Koen Van Den Broeck's post he has never slipped his dogs into a pair of Vans. The uppers on almost all Vans are lightweight canvas as are the interiors. In all the the Vans I've worn and own have I ever found a pair using synthetic linings; so no, your feet are *not* enclosed in a plastic bag. The insoles are dense, open-cell foam faced with canvas. The Pro-Skate line uses dense foam molded insoles providing probably the best support and the cushiest ride.  Most Vans don't have much in the way of arch support ...especially those with the canvas-faced open-cell foam. For some people arch support is essential and in that case most Vans would not be a good choice of footwear ...the possible exception being the Pro Skate line. Vans are purpose-built shoes; they are designed for skateboarding. As such they have to balance comfort with the ability to "feel" the deck of the skateboard. What makes Vans excellent skateboarding shoes tends to make them somewhat lacking in the ultimate comfort arena. But they are relatively light, very flexible and very breathable on your feet. And they just flat have a coolness cache that transcends a little lack of cush.

Vans shoes are always hurting and bruising the back of my ankle as I walk. I thought they were supposed to be comfortable. Is it because I am flat footed?

A2ADifferent shoe companies use different ‘lasts’ (moulds) for their shoes; some of which may be comfortable for one person, but not for another. Additionally, companies can use different materials for the different parts of the shoes which may or may not add to the comfort.Summary: Just because some people find a shoe comfortable, doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone will. However, one thing that people often forget that has an impact on the comfort of a shoe is how the laces are set up. Often people use the ‘default’ lace setup, or have a set up for aesthetic reasons. You may find that the shoes are more comfortable (but maybe less aesthetically pleasing) by changing the lacing. For instance, if the heel bruising is because your shoe is slipping a little, try the ‘heel slip’ layout in: Top 12 Running Shoe Lacing Techniques and Knots (Infographic)

How healthy are Vans for your feet relative to other shoes?

Vans are not technical shoes. They are old-school canvas sneakers with some heavy rubber cushioning under your foot and a little bit more under your medial arch. They have a very robust rubber outsole and rand, to protect the shoes against excessive wear from the friction stresses that occur in skateboarding, but nothing technical. They are perfectly OK for most of the young people who wear them as street shoes. If they are properly fitted they will not restrict the natural growth of a child's foot. But they are relatively heavy and flat and so for people who require a lighter shoe and/or more support, either due to foot issues, body weight, or the types of activities they engage in (running, serious walking, prolonged standing, basketball, field sports, etc.), Vans won't do at all. They're also terrible in serious rain because they are made of cotton canvas, which is a hydrophilic material, and will soak through relatively quickly when they get wet. There are shoes specifically designed for medical professionals, and many of them have also been adopted by professional chefs and restaurant servers (and some also by flight attendants), like Dansko, Sanita, and Timberland Pro. I own some of these and they're great. I'm personally also a devotee of the FitFlop brand of comfort shoes, boots, clogs, and sandals. But having said that, I personally believe that for most people who go through life mostly walking, occasionally running for a bus, occasionally needing to stand in line on a hard surface for 15 minutes or so, the optimal form of comfort footwear is a good, light, supportive pair of running shoes. Mine are Nike but yours should be whatever brand is most comfortable and supportive for you.
