Video Game And Your Likes.

Do guys like girls who play video games?

Who cares if guys like girls for liking video games.. Just because I love to play video games, doesn't mean I'm less of a girl! If they don't like me for who I am, then screw them!

How can I make real life more like a video game?

You can "gamify" certain aspects of your life by awarding yourself points for positive actions and taking them away from yourself for negative actions. If you find that this motivates you, fine and dandy. It wouldn't motivate me. The designer Jesse Schell has a horrifying lecture about how someday your refrigerator may pass judgment on your eating habits and give you gold stars for being a good boy or girl. I don't put up with criticism from kitchen appliances. Games are carefully balanced so that you will probably win with perseverance. Life is not. You have to be a lot more careful in life than in a game. A few other things to keep in mind while you're redesigning your life as a game:Life has permadeath. Period. You can't instantly heal yourself of any injury by drinking a red liquid out of a flask. Killing large numbers of people without permission has consequences. Treating your buddies as expendable does too. This is how officers get fragged in real life. Firearms misfire and must be maintained. Nobody walks away from a 100 mph car wreck in a stock consumer automobile, even with airbags. Real armor is hot, heavy, and tiring to wear. You are much more likely to smash your own head open when wielding a morningstar without training, than any other outcome. Robbing banks isn't nearly as easy as they make it look in GTA. Real police don't give up and forget you. Ever. You will not be able to hop at random into airplanes and tanks on an actual battlefield, nor operate all the weapons simultaneously by yourself. If you jump on turtles in real life, you will be prosecuted. You won't survive a fall more than three or four times your own height unscathed. Real humans are out of the fight with a single bullet wound.Life has neither save points nor cheat codes.

Is it good to play your life like a video game?

I’m just going to put this out there to hopefully still all actions taken after reading this. I’m a 13 almost 14 year-old boy that enjoys video games. Now that it is out there let me start answering your question. Its depends. Not on the situation or person/ethics but on the outlook. Because there are many different genres of games there are different gamer personalities. Now game personality and genre affect the outlook greatly. For example, an action RPG or MMO will have a frugal outlook. Like having an outlook that rivals a MMO player’s outlook is frugal, you have to take opportunities without hesitation and be efficient. This will affect your life in two ways, friends and rivals. Notice I used rivals instead of for say enemies, this is because an MMO shouldn't have enemies, because each player starts out the same with no disadvantages so at the bottom of your feelings for those opposing you or better will be admiration. Or for example you have that of a serious RPG choice story gamer that calculates most descions and their effects before you take them. I am of the latter outlook and currently just finished an excestential crisis(I realize that it's not the correct spelling but I hope you get what I mean) and am starting to enjoy life again for all its worth. So to summarize life is lived in any and all ways by everyone if you choose to live in a similar way then I wont voice any judgement.Sincerely,A quite observant and happy, too smart for the world’s good in a way, avid gamer, and soon to be not so anonymous teen

How much do you like video games? your zodiac sign?

I like to play =) I usually like games like Skyrim, Borderlands, Halo, GTA etc. But until last month i actually didn't touch my xbox since 2012 because i got bored. There is a guy who works at the game store near my house and he always makes fun of me whenever i go there because this year i didn't really buy anything. I went in just 1 time to get an accessory Now anytime he sees me he's like "ohh look, its that girl who never comes in here anymore ;)"

Out of the people I know its actually my cuz who plays the most video games (virgo). Right now he's excited for CoD ghosts. I never really got into call of duty but he's always trying to teach me how to play lol someday i will learn

Is it normal that my husband likes to kill in video games just to kill because its fun?

I can understand killing enemies as part of a mission to beat the game, but he plays to ambush characters in the game that are just standing there. Because he says the killing is fun and he enjoys it. And he says he s not going to stop when i ask him to. Am i overreacting or is it weird to kill just for fun?

What is the arcade video game genre?

Its not really a genre. Arcade games are basically individual consoles that are made to play one (and in some cases a couple) of games. The hardware is such that it is created to accomplish a single task, that is, to play the game it was created for.Arcade games are a category of games that covers multiple gaming genres. Platformers, shooters, fighting games, space games, etc, etc. While the category still exists it has morphed quite a bit since the early 70's to the mid 80's when arcades could be found in large shopping malls, small strip centers, pizzerias, pool halls etc. The games took money (typically $0.25 in the US) and in turn gave the player a set number of lives to complete as much as they could without losing a life. Some games allowed for cooperative play (multiple players pay at the same time) others were single player but allowed multiple players to play in turn, competing for high scores.Today there are game emulators that reproduce the hardware via software emulation. The EEPROMs or the original arcade printed circuit boards are dumped to binary files and can now be played on a PC using things like Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator (MAME).The category also includes things like Pinball and other mechanical games like Zeke's Peak or even Pachinko (often referred to as Japanese Pinball).

Do guys like it when girls play video games?

I can’t speak for all guys but, as someone for whom playing video games is a main hobby, I have to say that I think any girl who plays video games (I’m thinking either on the PC or on a console) is just awesome. For me, it’s because I grew up in a country where video games were made out to be a guy thing, so no girl I ever met bothered to play. I also happen to now live in a country in which the culture seems to look down on stay-at-home activities like video games. Apart from online, I’ve never met a girl/woman who plays video games as a hobby.I personally would like to know more female gamers (really more gamers in general) because:It provides a great conversation topic. I met all my oldest and best friends by playing video games together. I can talk games with my brother for hours. It would be refreshing to have such conversation with a girl. After reading the above, it occurs to me that seeing/meeting more female gamers would break this childhood stereotype I have that most girls /women hate video games.Personally, I think video games are very beneficial; they inspire the imagination, as well as curiosity. They can serve as a confidence boost, and they engage the mind to think strategically, as well as build innovation. Anyone who feels the same way about video games is a quality person in my book.In the end though, video games are just another hobby, like reading, watching TV, gardening and so on. Just replace “video games” in your question with any other hobby you can think of and you’ll understand how a gamer feels to meet someone who likes the same things they do. It’s always great to meet someone who shares your hobby. At the same time, like any other hobby, not everyone will see what you see in it. And that’s okay.P.S. The N64 was a gem of a console. Mario 64, Mario Kart, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and many other games make me smile when I remember them.

Why do video games suck nowadays?

I grew up in the 90’s and the early 00’s, I had a PS1, a PS2, and a Super Nintendo and they were a lot of fun. I just feel like modern video games are so boring, I feel like they look too real and that’s makes them very boring. I feel like video games shouldn’t look like the real world, video games are an escape from earth and now they make them look too real. Stories on games suck now, they are just so boring. I have a PlayStation 4 but I never play it because I get bored. I still have my PlayStation 2 and I play it all the time, it’s fun. Is there a reason why they are making video games so boring nowadays? Why do people like that junk?
