Video Games In Which Usa S Under Attack

What is flanking in video games?

Flanking in warfare, refers to the strategy of moving around an enemy so that you can attack from the side or rear. Often an enemy will be in an entrenched position and a frontal assault would be suicide, but a flanking attack from the side or rear avoids the enemies strongest point and could tip the odds in your favour. Flanking was especially important in regimented warfare were opposing sides would form up there units in pretty squares and whatnot. The problem with this is that it was hard for an entire unit to suddenly face the other way, hence why flanking was so effective.

So simply put, flanking is when someone is attacking but not from the front. So if someone is flanking you, then they are coming from your side or back.

Famous flanking maneuvers include the "pincer attack" which is where an enemy is flanked from both sides, leaving only direct retreat or annihilation as options.

Another good example is that battle in braveheart, where the scottish infantry draw off the english cavalry, so that the scottish cavalry can flank the english bowmen...

What would happen if Obama's escort was under attack?

Secret Service has scouted that location for days, maybe weeks ahead of time without you even knowing it.  They have snipers on every roof for miles.  They are armed with the arsenal of a small army, and the local SWAT team is on standby just waiting for the green light to tactfully swoop in at any moment and risk their lives to protect the president.   If someone was hiding in a flat with a rocket launcher, they most likely would've been uncovered well before they even had the opportunity to pull the trigger, as each neighborhood was scanned and scouted well beforehand without most residents there even realizing it.  And even if they did, they'd have to get extremely lucky to blast the right car (these cars are modified to withstand heavy firepower), not to mention the fact that the president might not even actually be in one of those cars (use of decoys is commonplace in presidential transport).  I'd be surprised if they could even pull the trigger before a sniper picked them off. It would seemingly take some inside information to pull this off, and even then it'd be near impossible to get right on one attempt. It would take some serious manpower, artillery, and tactical knowledge to assassinate the President of the US.  So to answer your question, it is possible (anything is possible), but extremely unlikely to be successful.  The Secret Service would probably stabilize the situation in a matter of seconds.

What's the techno video where a girl attacks a pedophile?

I watched a music video the other day where this creepy guy follows a schoolgirl down into an abandoned subway (or something similar) and thinks he's going to get his "creep" on, but she flips out on him to the beat of the music... the song and video are pretty cool, but you'd think "techno video where girl attacks pedo" would yield some search results... but no, lol. It's a techno song.. the video is decent so it looks like it was made fairly recently, and no.. it's not "come to daddy" by Aphex Twin. Pretty straight forward question... techno music, girl attacking a pedo to the music in some underground room. If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about I'd appreciate the assistance, it's going to drive me nuts, lol.

What are the best examples of "broken" video game characters?

Not sure what you mean by "broken" - but Rise of the Robots on the Amiga was a brawler in the street fighter vein.It looked awesome at the time.  In the days of 2D games, all its characters were modelled and then rendered out in 3D and then saved as sprites - a bit like Donkey Kong Country on the SNES.  But that's where the trouble began, because those huge sprites took up the whole 1meg of memory in the Amiga.  This meant that the characters could only face one way.  Yep, you heard right.  In Rise of the Robots you couldn't turn, you couldn't jump over your opponent or duck under an attack because then you'd be behind your opponent and couldn't turn to face them.If you think that broke the game, that wasn't enough for the developers. To make it worse, all those canned animations were long and took an age to complete.  BUT you couldn't interrupt them, so you just had to trigger a move and hope it connected.  It was so ponderous that it felt like you were watching the fight in slow motion. In fact the game as so broken that it barely scraped 5% in reviews.  But boy was it pretty.

What is the first video game you remember playing?

I was three years old when I experienced the absolute joy of destruction, carnage, and speed.Burnout 3: TakedownI f***ing LOVE this game to death!Seriously, the racing, the music, and cars, the CARNAGE.I mean, just effing watch:To articulate my feelings better, I have never played a game with driving mechanics that I love as much as this game. Its just so well made and that pleasant sound you get when ramming a car into a wall is just satisfying.Need for Speed feels very clunky and floaty in comparison to the smoothness and actual speed in every car, not only the end game ones. And yes, I’ve played the recent ones too. They still feel like the tires are trying to move through molasses with, again, the exception of the end game cars which is just f***ing bulls**t.Come at me bro.In any case, I really wish someone released an HD remaster of this game. I know EA will f*** it up with bs DLC or a season pass to unlock all the tracks, but I’ll play Silver Lake all the damn time if I have to.I still have the original, but I don’t have a TV that works with the PS2 so I have to play in greyscale.I just want my fix man…my Striker fix…

What historical events do you think would make a great video game?

I think as a whole, the history of Vietnam would be pretty cool.I grew up with stories about the great Vietnamese heroes. And not just the heroes but the heroines too.Trung Sisters- they lead an uprising against the Chinese in the 1st century and lead an army of women to retake Vietnam for a bit. A real symbol for women in Vietnam, they are still revered. I write more here- What are some of the most epic last stands in history?Lady Trieu- similarly led an uprising against the Chinese in the 3rd century. My answer about her- Who is the most badass woman in history ever?Tran Hung Dao- this guy is awesome. He beat the Mongols, not once, not twice, but three times. A well respected guy, despite having the army totally loyal to him never even tried to seize the throne. Amusingly, his first love was to poetry, which he would have pursued if not for the Mongols. Will write an answer about him sooner or later. Trần Hưng ĐạoHis most famous battle, the Battle of Bach Dang, where he sunk the Mongol fleet.Le Loi- mainly about his sword, which gave him the strength of a thousand men and made him grow tall. Another person who lead a revolt against the Chinese. Then we have the wars of Vietnam of the 20th century. To sum it all up as one of my friends said. “We beat the Chinese, the Mongols, the French, the Japanese, and some of Vietnamese beat the Americans!”If you’ve ever played Age of War, the Flash game or any of its sequels, that’s kinda what I imagine it to be like. Or Civ.You play as the immortal spirit of Vietnam, continuing to fight its enemies over thousands of years. You start with the establishment of Vietnam, more of a management or farming game. Then you play through all the ancient heroes, acting as the heroes as they gather armies and lead wars against all sorts of enemies through the ages. Then you shift to the 20th century and fight the Indochina Wars and finally end with the Fall of Saigon, April 1975.Think Civ, combined with Mount and Blade: Warband, meets COD. I know I suffer from that over-ambition that non game developers usually suffer from but it’s fun to wish. The Vietnamese have a long history and having a video game about it would be pretty cool.
