Vitamins And Working Out

How do you know vitamins are working?

In general with a good multi or daily vitamin strip you should noticeably feel better with more energy and vitality within 30 days. There are a lot of poorly made vitamins out there so if you're not feeling better try something else. The company I represent offers a feel better guarantee and an unconditional money back with their vitamin strip.http://allswellhealth.m.myshakle...

What are the best Vitamins to take as a 23-year-old working male?

Keep it simple just take the regular Centrum once a day as directed. If you need extra energy take Ginseng tablets they work very well. I get my vitamins at COSTCO they are the Centrum equivalent. You're not supposed to take excess vitamins it is very bad for your body so only one a day with food.

I have started working out what vitamins should I take?

Yes, always start with a good multi-vitamin. Chances are you might want to top that off with a calcium/magnesium/vitamin D suppliement as well as a small amount of potassium to avoid muscle scramps.

Now, to answer in better detail I would need to know if you have any health issues or concerns? Symptoms?

Are you trying to lose weight or just get in shape?

The more info you can give me the better I might be able to help you.

Vitamin water while working out can you get muscles or do you need to drink protean shakes?

my brother, if you want to build muscles then you will need 2 basic things (actually you need more than what i'm gonna tell you but this are the basics) to achieve your goal:

1. Protein
2. Carbs/calories

The way you build muscles is by breaking muscle tissue down when you exercise, then you eat properly and sleep and your body will tell himself "hey, this dude just destroyed muscle tissue! so in order for me to survive a similar event i have to grow more muscle tissue than what was destroyed. your body will adapt in order to survive and try to get stronger of what you're pushing it to go.

To build up muscle you need protein and energy. energy can come in the form of carbs/caloried from other sources.

To anwers your question: NO, you do not need protein shakes to grow muscle. what you need is a balanced nutrition.

eat 5-6 meals a day, not just 3. make sure you get at least 1.2 grams of protein per pound of your bodyweight during the day. drink plenty of water (this helps grow muscle).

a protein shake can help you get the protein needed during the day but it is not necessary, when i started to work out i was 130 pounds, and i got to 155 pounds without any shake but just good nutrition. now i'm taking one protein shake after i work out (whey protein) and it has been helping me with my gains.

but once again, IT IS NOT necessary to buy protein shakes in order to gain muscle. it is just an extra help.

How long does it take for multi vitamins to start working? Do they increase your energy?

There is no definitive answer because there are to many variables. It depends on your health needs and deficiencies. The potency of the vitamin (natural artificial) then there is the mineral aspect, what is used to compound the vitamin, is it salt, protein, chelation, colloidal silver, etc. Some vitamins you can feel the difference in hours some it may take weeks but that still goes back to the variables.

Is vitamin water ( 10 calories ) a good drink after working out ?

Here are my findings.

For your daily workout I found that Propel unlike regular Gatorade is fine to drink while working out.

Gatorade due to it's ingredients is not meant for consumption before or during a work out. It is meant to replace what your body uses after the work out. You may argue that, but it's what I have noticed. If you drink Gatorade regularly without workout you may find yourself having headaches.

Propel is good for any time consumption, but I normally drink it when I plan to work out. It is low carb so it fits into my diet just fine. The taste is outstanding and always quenches my thirst. While working out I always find myself filling the bottle back up with water too. At 2 hours of being at the gym I can easily drink between 20-40 oz of fluids.

Vitamin water on the other hand I don't think I would use it for workout purposes. It tastes great and as far as I can tell will work fine for regular consumption. The drink itself (if you buy a case) has a dietary guidline that if you follow actually works pretty well. I say get a case and see for yourself. Its not some magic elixir or anything, but i have notice a difference in many aspects of daily routine (i.e. energy, focus, and stamina).

So if you are sick of drinking water try these and you may be surprised. Don't give up water altogether just try to give yourself some variety so that you will not get burnt out.

hope this helps!

What do you think is the best multi vitamin for someone working out?

Probably no multivitamin at all.David Hirst's answer to What are the best vitamins to take on a daily basis?A general belief has arisen that for every medical circumstance or problem there’ll be a supplement that’ll make things better, as night follows day. This belief is unfounded. People just like taking supplements, though.I haven’t seen any evidence from academic studies published in exercise physiology journals that you need to take vitamin supplements of any kind while you’re working out - and it’d be weird if you needed to take some of everything.Recommendations from websites or from guys down the gym aren’t evidence that you need to take anything. Nor are ‘You need to take ______ because ______’ statements unless they’re supported by experimental findings published in reputable academic journals. Here’s an article about the risk of harm associated with use of antioxidant vitamin supplements - I linked to it in the answer linked above.Opinion | Don’t Take Your Vitamins

Can I take vitamin supplements to help gain mass while working out every day?

There are a lot of factors that come into play while building muscle mass, however one of the most important one is your protein intake. It's recommended to take 1–1.5 grams of protein per pound you weigh, if you wanna build muscle mass effectively and efficiently.Vitamins and minerals also play a big role for building muscle mass, and you should focus on getting all your vitamins and minerals from natural food. However it's not practical to get all your body’s vitamins and mineral need from natural food, so it's best to add a Multivitamin to your daily diet, just to ensure that your body has everything it needs. But remember, don't entirely rely on it, focus on natural food. Remember a multivitamin is a supplement, it's designed to supplement your lifestyle.
