Do you need a voice box to whisper?

Say you were born without the ability to speak... Do you need a voice box to whisper? I mean, isn't whispering the passage of air through the different formations of the mouth?

How can I change the resonance of my voice to sound female?

The important thing to do here is change the pitch of the fundamental tone and not the overall tone or you will sound falsetto.

Biological women usually have not only shorter, but thinner vocal cords as well.

What you need to practice is singing with your vocal cords tight before even trying high. You will be screeching on a part of your vocal cord you haven't used since before puberty before you can even talk on it, let alone sing on it.

Raw vocal cord strength is what is necessary for me due to mood issues that don't allow me to always be in the right mood necessary for ideal passing speech. Cigarettes are another issue that forces me to work harder.

Thankfully, it works for me. I can be animated with strangers and pass as long as my voice is not too tired or my mood issues are not too severe.

It will takes months to build up the strength in that part of your vocal cord.

I recommend singing to songs you grew up with. That is how a lot of women learn much of their verbal social expression as well.

Top female singers have the best "selling" voice of any women and not neccesarily the best vocal mechanics or skills. Selling your verbal expression is what is important here.

This takes care of inflection, innotation and everything else that professional gender speech therpists and advice websites mention because these singers have the best "selling" of these traits as well.

Limewire.com can help with finding songs.

Try and be tight as well as high. The tightness compensates for resonance the way raising your pitch does for a lower tone.

Try and match the singer of the song you are practicing with. It will take a few tries before you are not embarrassed with yourself alone.

Focus on matching one aspect at a time with the song. Don't expect a near pefect karoke imitation for awhile.

Don't worry about your voice sounding awful, especially at first. You are building vocal cord strength.

I deliberately press my voice to my current limit to slightly beyond and work on weak areas of my voice even if I can sing a song quite well if I were to press a little less. It is part of vocal cord strength and conditioning for me.

Is the Japanese or English voice for Light Yagami from Death Note better (fits better, better voice, etc)?

I prefer the Japanese voice for Light. I thought both voice actors did a great job matching the character. For a change, I don't mind listening to the dub much. But my problem is that I recognize the English voice actor. It's the same guy who did the voice for Quatre on Gundam Wing, which is one of my all-time fave anime. So every time I watch in English, all I can think of is Quatre, especially whenever Light does that evil/psychotic laugh, and it's distracting.
