What causes vomiting and diarrhea at the same time?

Vomiting is usually not the sign of something very serious within your body and this can happens as your body reacts to get rid of something it is allergic to or is harmful to the body. Diarrhea is the rapid movement of bowel from your body and its causes may be some bacterial or viral infection or some additional factors.imageLet's see the body conditions, in which both Vomiting and Nausea occurs at the same time,Food Poisoning.Gastroenteritis.Irritable Bowel Syndrome.Lactose Intolerance.Travellers Diarrhea. The reaction of some medications.Iron Poisoning.Giardiasis.Constipation.Panic Attack/ Extreme Phobia.Peptic Ulcer.Use of Certain antibiotics.Helicobacter Pylori Infection.Acute Kidney Failure.Hypoglycemia.Related:Eating these 15 foods will never lead you to obesity. What will happen if you are not drinking enough Water?Sip on this natural green leafy for your extremely fast and safe weight loss. How Dandelion and Peppermint tea will help you in your amazing fast weight loss?Attribution for content

Vomiting, diarrhea and horrible body ache?

It could be the flu. Due you vomit everytime you eat or drink anything? If yes, I'd say food poisoning. When you have food poisoning you cannot keep anything down. But with the body aches, I'd most likely think the flu. The most important thing is to keep yourself hydrated with plenty of fluids, and if you have a temperature for more than three days, you should go in and be seen by your doctor. I hope you feel better soon.

Can stress cause vomiting/diarrhea?

My family was on vaca in disney when my husband dropped the bomb on me 'we are leaving 2 days early and when we get home we are getting a divorce'

We were on vaca and he was very jealous of the time i was spending w my mom and he was so mad at how expensive the food was there. hes a very controlling man and i recently started asserting myself so now he wants out.

as soon as he told me my heart ached for our daughter. and i had what seemed to be a minor anxiety attack. within 2 min of receiving this 'news' i started vomiting and shitting my brains out.

2 days later im having heart palpitations and my stomach is still upset. could this be caused from all of this sudden stress or should i go to a doc.

Vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea. NO stomach ache. Help!!?

I keep vomiting, but my stomach doesn't hurt, what do i have?
i woke up at 2am because i wasn't feeling well.i thought it was mayb because i had my period. I had no stomach pains, it was more like discomfort, which is why i thought it was my period. (it wasn't period cramps either cause i hardly ever get cramps) so i went to the bathroom and had diarrhea and vomited. Then 1 hr later, i vomited again. Then my mom gave me some medicine and like 30 mins later, i throw up again!! so i went back to bed but kept tossing and turning cause i felt so sick. I just felt really nauseous. I woke up at 9am and drank some medicine and went back to bed because i felt sick and nauseous everytime i stand up. so i would fall asleep for 1 hr, then wake up. and everytime i got up to go to the bathroom or something, i just wanted to throw up!! (which i did at 11am) i've been eating saltine crackers and water all day. I now feel better, however, everytime i stand up, i feel like throwing up. so i go and sit by the toilet but nothing comes out since my stomach is probably empty.

what is this?? NO stomach ache, but all i wanna do is throw up!!!
is it food poisoning or a virus??

Vomiting, diarrhea, chills, fever, weakness?

S0 around 10pm last nights I came over feeling very sick. I then started vomiting,
I woke this morning and I've had diarrhea, a bad headache, pains in my stomach, and I feel weak (Throughout the night I've woken loads of times because I was either very cold or very hot)
I'm drinking water but I just seem to be bringing it back up.
I ate Chinese about 7pm last night so I'm not sure whether this sudden illness is linked to that?
Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Vomiting, diarrhea, can't sleep, terrible stomach ache... etc. HELP?

I am only 14 years old so my parents found it a shock that it all happened so soon. I started having a terrible stomach ache around 9pm tonight. and thought it was maybe the salad I ate. I didn't think anything of it until I started having diarrhea around 9:45pm. I told my parents and they said to just try and sleep. Around 11, I still haven't fallen asleep but I kept getting up to use the restroom. I went to the restroom thinking I had to use the restroom but instead I vomited in the toilet. Everything I ate came out and I felt awful. It is now almost 5am and I still have not gotten any sleep. I have now vomited about 6 times and had diarrhea over 30 times. I am now vomiting a yellow mucus and its a bright sick color yellow and I am very dehydrated but any water I drink comes straight back up. Any ideas to make it go away?

Diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pains, headaches + fever?

You have, by definition, gastroenteritis. The big question is, is there any emergency issues that could be life threatening? Any recent travel to 3rd world countries and drank the water or ate local foods? Still have your appendix? If so, is the pain focused in the right lower quadrant? If so, does jumping up and down hurt more than anything in your life? If so, you absolutely need to go to the ER.
Now, diarrhea is not common with appendicitis, so it is not so likely you have that issue. For gastroenteritis, it is likely viral and will be short lived. Bloody stool is a warning sign of something worse than simple gastroenteritis and deserves expedient workup. If no bloody stools, the best course of action is hydration with water or gatorade-like juices, in small sips every few minutes. Do not drink large quantities at once with active vomiting as you will not keep it down. No solid foods for at least 6 hours after the last time you vomited, and follow the BRAT diet.
If you need something for pain control, use Tylenol (acetaminophen), and not Ibuprofen products, as it will worsen gastroenteritis symptoms on an empty stomach, can cause stomach ulceration, and will worsen kidney function, especially if you are already dehydrated. Just don't do it.

Severe vomiting, diarrhea, headache, aching limbs, chills, & cold sweats, no fever, no sore throat. Swine Flu?

Contrary to what two people said, there's no such thing as stomach flu. Flu is a respiratory infection, not a gastric or intestinal one. The incubation period for swine flu is 2-4 days and it lasts from 7-10. Technically, you cannot be diagnosed based on symptoms alone. A specific blood test is required to confirm a diagnosis. Fever is a key symptom that distinguishes all flus from some other conditions.

Rather than having had swine flu or any type of flu, it sounds more like you and your son may have suffered from gastroenteritis, which can last anywhere from 1 to 10 days, depending on the virus or bacteria involved. Although the incubation period is generally 1-3 days, this can vary from one person to another and it's not unheard of for one person to fall ill and another to succumb one week later. I expect his lingering cough may something to do with throat irritation from the vomiting.

Shaking, Body Aches, Fatigue, Diarrhea, Hungry Feeling...?

I haven't been around anyone for about 2 weeks except my mom because I had a cold, I'm basically over my cold. but I started my period a few days ago, and I was fine, just some cramps.. but I almost done with it and just started feeling these symptoms.. what could it be? Swine Flu? Dehydration? Or just the end of my period? I am worried. :|
