Why won't my car start after fixing a broken serpentine belt?

Ok so first question is the starter rotating the motor like it should and it just wont start or are you turning the key without getting any results. If its not turning over id first off hit the starter solenoid with a soft hammer a few good raps may dislodge a stuck solenoid. Now if the motor is spinning but not firing up my first place id look is the distributor wiring unless it runs coil packs then i would guess that you knocked the wires off the crank sensor or maybe even broke the crank sensor. I am at a disability here not knowing what the vehicle make is., if it died while driving because belt fell off and you ran on battery till it ran out of power. ( a jump start is the ticket in that case ) Honestly im going with the crank sensor or crankshaft position sensor.being the root of your problem because if the belt broke it could easily take out the sensor as belt flew around the front of the motor. But check all your connections and research the crank sensor ..its usually a cheap and easy part to replace if its in a area where belt passes by it that makes sense as to your problem. Ok let me know a bit more info if possible. Dont give up the answer will come

How to siphon gas out of 2003 VW?

You won't be able to get into the tank. It's blocked off with an anti-siphone device. Your best bet is to take it to a mechanic and have him empty the tank and clean it. Also if she drove with it at all, like from the pump home, def. take it to a mechanic, unless you are handy with tools. If that's the case, then if you have the einsprich pump, just remove the fuel line from the engine and put it into a bucket. Then give contact to your car and the pump will just spit out the whole gas tank into the bucket. Then fill it up with diesel and reconnect the line and you're off.

Is the Audi A8 a good car that will last a long time?

Unfortunately Audi, as all European manufacturers, have had many recent reliability problems stemming mostly from electrical matters.

No doubt about it- the A8 is a beautiful car and drives very nice. It offers much room and a high class, high quality interior. It performs excellent in winter driving and is sporty in the summer. In theory a great car. However, it has many downsides. The first being resale value which is well below average- 43% loss in the first year. It is horrible on gas mileage as well- 14city/19highway. It is very expensive to own and maintain. Insurance is also very high as parts cost above average. And reliability-who wants to see their new car in the repair shop more than in their driveway? Read the consumer reviews, especially long term reviews. The logs are filled with horror stories just in time for Halloween.

I would test drive it just so that later when you buy something else you will not wonder what it was like to drive that model.

How do you fix a CD player in a car that keeps ejecting disks?

If you have never fixed any electronics, you probably don't. You are going to have to buy a new one. There's a chance that it's just a bad part, but the parts are probably not available. I have 25 years of electronics repair and I would just buy a new one.

How many miles do ACURA MDX's usually run until they start having problems?

Acuras and Hondas last as long as you want to drive them and maintain and repair them. My wifes 1997 CRV has 196,000 and my 2002 RSX S has 135,000. Both run AS NEW. Her engine is a little noisy when its super cold until it warms up.

Old skool thought was v6's outlast 4cylinder cars because the engine is under less stress. So if properly maintained MDX should go until you get sick of it. My sis has a 02 MDX with 140,000 runs awesome. They did have the tranny repl under warranty though-thats the only problem Ive heard about the Automatic honda/acura in V6 is some had tranny problems like 1998-2002ish years.

To the guy complaining about the RL-if you get a car loaded with gizmos, sometimes they will have bugs. Ask any BWM, Mercedes, Audi. VW, Caddy owner about electricl bugs, they all have them. Fix it and move on-this guy is asking about real failure like engine/tranny.
