W/ Picture. What Breed Of Horse Is This

What horse breeds can be pinto?

Pretty much I love paints, and any other breeds with pinto markings. So what breeds beside paints can be registered with pinto markings? I know Oldenburgs and Sheltands can... Any others?

What horse breeds have roman noses?

Actually the more modern TWH do not have roman noses...but the old fashioned ones often do.

The breed that comes to mind most is the chinese breed Xinjiang Wild Horse and some of the other oriental breeds, though I do not know their names.

draft horses like percherons.

I just looked the question up on a blog too....

What is the biggest horse breed in the world?

The Shire is generally recognised as the tallest breed. Stallions starting at 17 hands and mares at 16 going up to 20+ hands with weights for males up to 2400 lbs. Percherons can weigh up to 2600 lbs. 10 Biggest Horse Breeds

What is the largest breed of gaited horses, and what has the smoothest gait?

Go with a walking horse. Usually, the better TWHs will be around 15 hands, but you can find a lot of really nice, really smooth TWHs that are over 16 HH.

The smoothest horse that I have ever ridden was a 16.2HH TWH gelding, who was out of nothing special breeding wise, even. His running walk was also much faster than any other walker I rode him with, and his canter was a dream. It was like a gently rolling wave. I've ridden other gaited breeds, but none touch that horse, though my neighbour did have a saddlebred I would have gladly taken off her hands. He floated when he moved.

So how do you pronounce all of these fun horse breed names anyway?

I've always wondered how to pronounce them correctly, especially with the foreign ones.

Lets see...

Akhal-Teke (Ach-hal Teh-keh?)
Andalusian (Ahn-dah-lu-sian?)
Camargue
Friesian (Free-sian?)
Lipizzaner (Lippy-zanner XD)
Lusitano (Lussy-tano?)
Fjord
Percheron (I've always wondered if there's some special French way to pronounce this...)
Przewalski
Selle Français
Tuigpaard
Trakehner

What horse has the most comfortable gait as a breed?

Any of the gaited breeds has a better, more comfortable gait than a non-gaited horse. And there are surprising gaited breeds.Probably the most well-known gaited breed is the Tennessee Walking Horse. All of their gaits are modified and easy to sit, from walk to trot to canter to run-walk, an exciting gait to ride. You’re going at a high rate of speed, but you’re just floating along effortlessly. Such a thrill! But there are other horses with smooth, easy riding gaits. Missouri Foxtrotters, Saddlebreds, Colorado Rangerbreds, Rocky Mountain Gaited Horses, and Foundation Appaloosas. All of these horse will be gaited at the trot, and many of them at the canter as well. My best App mare was Foundation bred, and she was gaited at the trot and canter. It was beautiful to watch her glide around the pasture at the trot or canter — I can’t speak to how she was riding, since she couldn’t be ridden due to injury. So go for a gaited horse and you’ll be surprised at just how comfortable a horse can be!

What breed of horse was used as the headless horsemans horse in Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp?

I'm going to guess, based on IMDB pictures, Andalusian. It definitely looks Spanish in origin, it has pretty typical Andalusian conformation and it has a wavy mane and tail, like the breed would. It's big enough to carry Christopher Walken pretty well, and he's at least 6 feet tall. It also has no feathering, which eliminates a lot of other similar looking and similarly built breeds.
