Wacom Intuos4 Pen And Mouse Problems

WACOM Intuos 2 vs Bamboo ?

Long story short, I have a Wacom Intuos 2, which is very old. I'm thinking of getting the Wacom Bamboo as an upgrade, but from what I've read, the Intuos 2 has better specs. The problem is that not only is it old, but I feel like it's not sensitive enough. I'm just not sure if that can be solved by getting a Bamboo or if it's only solved by getting a better Intuos 3. I really don't have money for another Intuos.

For those of you who now about this stuff or have used both the Bamboo and Intous 2, what should I do? Stick to the Intuos 2 or buy a new Bamboo?

Thanks,
Gerard

Can't move Wacom Pen in Photoshop CS4?

Check the Wacom driver. it may have setup a application specific profile that has wrong settings.

Uninstall the Wacom driver.

Reboot.

Search your whole system for any wintab32.dll files. Delete any you find in your program files or system32 folder groups.

Download the latest driver from wacom and try to install it again.

There should only be one wintab32.dll and it would be in your system32 folder.

Open device manager.

Expand the Human Interface Device section

Select the Wacom Virtual Hid Driver and disable it (not remove incase you want to turn it back on)

Reboot.

Try photoshop again.

Just bought Wacom Intuos 4 Pen Tablet- horrible! Am I doing something wrong? Set up help?

I have a huge, old wacom tablet. I don't like it because it's massive. In school, we use smaller ones, with the drawing size abut 5 by 7.

So I went out and bought a Wacom Intuos 4. It sucks! The pen is used as a mouse basically!

I've never used a drawing tablet that acts only as a mouse. Okay, here's how a drawing tablet is supposed to work: if I click on the top of the tablet with the pen, the mouse will be on the top of the screen, if I click on the bottom of the tablet, the mouse will be on the bottom of the screen.

It helps with drawing.

Now with this device, it seems it doesn't matter where you put the pen, it just acts like a mouse. This seems so pointless.

Am I doing something wrong? I just want a normal tablet like what I have, but smaller, instead I got this mouse/pen.

Is there a setting I'm missing? Or are people really using this to draw? I can't stand it, like I said the point of a drawing tablet is to emulate the screen.

My Wacom pen stopped working, what should I do?

This has happened to me before. These are suggestions for if the Wacom pen (in general, and not only in your drawing software, doesn’t work)Here’s a few things you could try:1. Restart your computer. See if it works. If it doesn’t, continue onto number 2.2. Launch the Wacom app (not sure what it’s called as I’m on a different device right now, but it’s the W icon for Wacom) and make sure all the updates are installed.3. Do the same for your laptop.4. Restart after these steps and see if it works again.5. Untwist the head of your pen (if it easily allows you to) and check the pen nib to make sure it’s not too worn down or loose.6. Uninstall the driver for your pen/tablet and reinstall it.7. If that doesn’t work, contact Wacom’s technical support. Sometimes they can give you further guidance or tips, and if not, hopefully your product is under warranty still (so long as it is not damaged by yourself, of course). If the pen is simply not working when you try to draw in a certain program (like Paint Tool SAI or photoshop), you may have to reset your pen sensitivity, or remove and reinstall the software again.Best of luck!

Wacom Intuos 4 not working in Photoshop CS4?

I want to try Photoshop CS4 for coloring practices, but the pen won't respond at all when I already have the software opened. The problem is, I have Paint Tool SAI, and the pen works just fine when I am using the program. Later I noticed that the pen does not work with MangaStudio EX4 too.

What can I do to fix this problem? I don't use my tablet really that often, and I am not really good at tweaking this kind of thing either, so any kind of help will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

My tablet pen is acting up, whats wrong with it?

I believe that it's not your pen, but probably the laptop. Laptops are great, but they crash more often, so make sure that's it's not you pen, then have a local computer mechanic check it out. (Most people don't charge to look at it)
