Walking Dead Fans Thoughts

What are your thoughts on The Walking Dead expanding into movies?

Nah - the walking dead never recovered from “Swinging the bat” in the Season 7 Premiere which sadistically killed off beloved characters, and dragged the audience through a depressing, maudlin, otherwise vacuous 60 minutes which permanently lost them millions of fans.(Will ‘swing the bat’ enter the entertainment lexicon along with ‘jump the shark’?)What made the Walking Dead fun to watch wasn’t just the gore and destruction. Rather, it was the little islands of humanity that arose in an ocean of doom.Life got simpler and more authentic. It became reduced to trusted friends and defenders, small villages, great crusades to secure such simple things as gas or medication. All the world is hostile and dangerous except for the little camp of survivors that has become home.It was that sanctuary that kept us watching. How people got along, fell in love, learned to shoot, shook off the past. Planting fragile gardens as death swirled just outside their walls. That episode obliterated this precarious duality. The sanctuary was over-run and now everything was death. This wasn’t just depressing - it was boring. That was the last episode I watched, because I lost any emotional attachment to the characters. I just didn’t care.

What do you call a Walking Dead fan?

i guess we could be called dead heads, zombies, walkers :P

a few other things, not sure if we have been given a proper name yet

How do The Walking Dead fans feel about [Spoiler]'s death in the season 6 finale?

The whole season everyone has been talking about the fact that Glenn dies in the comic when Negan is introduced. We've known since October that Jeffrey Dean morgan had been cast in the role and Lucille's victim had been discussed a lot since then. They were building towards it heavily since episode 9 after the mid-season break, which I thought was an excellent moment to finish on, because we DIDN'T know what would happen next... the rocket launcher was a huge and awesome surprise that just cements Daryl's cool cred with the fanbase. The ending we were given though was different, because we knew what what would happen. We've known all season. Someone would die. The only reason to stop it there would be if something intervened, which we know isn't the case as we got Negan giving the death blow with Lucille as a POV from the victim. Scott Gimple and Robert Kirkman has defended the ending by saying that the story we were telling ended at that point. Who the victim is and how the Alexandrian's react to their death is the next story. This is where I, and I would say most of the vocal fanbase, disagree. The DEATH, and the identity of the victim is the end of the story. The next story starts with the reaction to this death. As for who it is... right now it seems to be a toss-up between Abraham, who is doing the unthinkable and talking positively about the future (always a bad sign), and Eugene, who already gave up the recipe for bullets to Rick. However, I recently came across this... Someone slowed down the audio from the moment Negan unleashed Lucille, and it seems to point to Glenn being the victim. This could work really well, as the TV series often defies the Comic by substituting which characters die at specific moments in the story. Andrea died in the AMC show, but is still alive in the comics, just like Carol. Whilst Sophia, Carol's daughter, is alive in the comics, but dead on the show. So in this case, the most shocking victim of Lucille's barbed wrath could in fact be Glenn... in a way subverting our expectations by following them. Glenn's death would also devastate the group heavily, and as Rick is supposed to become "a limp dick" compared to his recent, more gung-ho demeanour, after this event, Glenn is one of the few people whose death would dump Rick in the emotional funk. But, hey... only 6 months to go!!!

Am I the only Walking Dead fan that enjoys FTWD?

I've found The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead 2 both outrageous shows. But what gets to me is people ***** and complain on Fear abd I'm like well even though they are both zombie shows this show is a second series a show with defferent characters. I mean WTF do you expect a clone Rick Grimes? That's what made the original show unique as a matter of fact I'll say this if you're aware of the video game series with Lee and Clementine look how unique that series is. Hell it wen't for the best game of the year. I don't know what the hell is all the hate on Fear The Walking Dead so much if I find a walking dead fan that enjoys FTWD it would be a miracle I found the show very awesome.
