What is Walmart's return policy on video games?
90 days to return- with receipt, unopened goes back the way you paid. Without receipt, unopened goes back to store credit (must show ID). Once a video game, DVD, or CD had been opened it can only be exchanged for the exact same title. This is in compliance with federal regulations concerning pirating and media. Associates won't override this for you. Supervisors, managers, all the way up the chain, won't override it for you. It's a waste of time to make a scene about it. The only exception is if you had purchased refurb/preowned video games or software. In that case you can exchange it for a different title, but no refund will be issued. Additionally, SOME managers will approve an exchange for the same title, but for a different system within the same "family" (ex: Xbox One game for Xbox 360 game, but NOT Xbox One game for Playstation game). This is on a very case to case basis though, so don't expect this to happen.
How do I pre-order the PS4?
He/she may have been confused and meant the upcoming PS5 (A.K.A. Project Scorpion). If that’s what you’re talking about, it’s not up for preorder and right now, they’re just calling it Scorpion. Honestly, I think they should keep that name, sort of like Nvidia did with their previous card. The predecessor to the Nvidia GeForce line of cards, used to be called TnT, then there was the TnT 2…Ohhh. I like GeForce better than TnT, but I’d wish it had a better name than that too. Something like the new Nvidia Quantum or Quantum X…..get it. GPU and CPU die’s are getting smaller, at the Quantum level. I’ve got it, the Nvidia Tachyon…again a Tachyon is a hypothetical particle that travels faster than light. That’s nice and I think it’s a better name and much faster than GeForce. Ahh…anyway.
Can I use my Amazon gift card balance for preordering a game for a digital code (PS4) or do I have to use a credit card or verify a credit card?
If it’s on Amazon, a gift card balance should work for any purchase. With pre-orders, they won’t charge your card until it’s ready to ship, so make sure you still have funds left on the card for when the game comes out.
So I made a pre-order on Bestbuy, but nothing was taken off my card. Is that supposed to happen?
I use to work for the Best Buy website as a customer service agent so I think I can explain it. The way Best Buy does pre orders is they authorize the charge when you checkout and then collect the authorization when the pre order is released/when you pick it up in store. So you'll be charged when you pick it up/it ships. If you were not initially charged your order most likely did not go through and was made a ghost order.It is usually recommended that you use an account to pre order.
Should I buy the new PS4 from Walmart or Gamestop!?
Excited as I am for the new ps4 coming this november, i'm debating on whether I should buy it from gamestop or walmart. Reason being is because for walmart I seen a ad they had by the electronics area saying I can put 10% down and make payment and pick up the ps4 anytime. Plus unlike gamestop, I know if I have my reciept, I wouls be able to return whatever I purchased. Why i'm debating with walmart with gamestop is because they have a power up card I could use to get a discount on whatever I purchase from their store. Plus I don't know if the new ps4 will come with any bundles, I figured gamestop would be best for that more so then walmart. Anyone have any helpful suggestions?
