Wanna Help With My Plot

Any ideas for a good plot (angel story)?

My friend loves to write her own stories and we went to the bookstore the other day, and we saw Hush, Hush and Maximum Ride and Fallen and we bought them. So we were reading them - I was reading Fallen and she was reading Maximum Ride- when she said, "What if we wrote a story about this Guardian angel falls in love with human (Nephilim) girl. Angel turns to fallen angel because of this and the girl is, like, haunted by demons because she is considered "bad" for having a fallen angel father and fallen angel love."

I told her it sounded interesting but she needed more of a plot. She says she has the main idea but wants a twist in the plot, like something exciting to happen, something strange that makes the Main character be haunted by demons and ghosts and stuff.

Is this too cliche? Do you have any ideas? My friend and I always help eachother out in writing stories. She helps me with names and twists and she's stumped and upset because she has an idea but she needs one little push to come up with it.
I'm thinking maybe the girl is haunted by demons before the angel falls in love with her, and maybe the guardian angel was here for a different purpose, but he went to highschool just for fun while he was on earth and then he met the girl and became a fallen angel. But she still needs something more.

Do you guys have any ideas? She helps me a lot and i wanna help her, too. we illustrate eachothers stories and edit them so i want to be as much help as i can.....she's a great writter but she's just stumped at the moment. One good idea. thats so all she needs.
So she kindahas the plot, but she needs a twist, something that connects it all together :)

I do not want to write novels. But I love creating the plot, story background, character profiles, cultures, and worlds. What are some career choices for me if I enjoy creating characters, story backgrounds, and worlds that could be the material for a novel, television show, or a movie?

I know a lot of  indie film directors who write scripts, develop worlds, and watch their vision come true. In my piece of California, we have a tight knit community of actors, writers, costume artists, makeup artists, directors, cinematographers, you name it. A few of them make a living on film. Others have gotten producers and successfully started up their own story visions. But you'd have a hard time making it only honing your imagination. If you had a magnificent, killer idea with a super-documented outline, you couldn't find a single person to listen to your pitch. You'd be person five hundred with a "great idea", when good ideas are inexhaustible as it is. Our backlog of ideas and outlines and scripts is miles long. Our bigger problem is finding the time and resources to make the movies we want to make.So the real work is in the making, and all the fun is in the imagining. When we hear somebody approaching us with an idea, we immediately translate that into, "You do the hard work while I do the fun work." When you're at the bottom, you can't do only fun work; you have to earn it by working too. So I suggest writing that novel or learning about film. Nothing wrong with being a production assistant and watching how other artists perform their roles.I'm a personal believer in developing hard skills no matter what, even if your ultimate goal is to be a visionary. You can't be a visionary without prestige, and you can't get in without a valuable skill that can get you in the door.So don't be afraid to work. First thing's first: find your dream industry, and help others' visions come true first. Soon, you'll be trusted to add creative touches of your own. And later, you may be calling your own shots.

Locusts... every 17 years? (If you dont wanna read the short plot, just go to the end where the question is)?

Locusts are grasshoppers. The insects you saw, sometimes called "17-year locusts," aren't really locusts at all, but cicadas. Cicadas, it turns out, come in several species; the most conspicuous of which are members of the Magicicada genus, also known as "periodical" cicadas. These insects live for 17 years (or in some species, 13 years), but only make one single, group appearance during their lifetime.
Here's the basic cicada life cycle: Hatch from eggs laid in tree branches; drop to the ground, burrow about a foot deep; hang out for 17 (or 13) years; climb back to the surface; fly around, make a lot of noise, mate and die. Rinse, repeat, ad infinitum.

Some species of cicada have 17 year life cycles - most of which is spent underground.
this doesn't mean they are only around every 17 years - it means after spending that much time underground, they come out. You can see them every summer because of course, not every cicada is the same age.

So when people say they "come out" every 17 years - they do... the nymphs (cicada larvae) bury into the ground when they hatch - then years later, they come out of the ground, attach themselves to a tree and shed their skin to turn into the beetle looking thing with wings to join all the other adult cicadas already in the trees.

I want to start a webtoon, should I write the plot first or draw first?

Both. Story board it. Work through the story visually.

I want to write a fantasy story, but I don't know it's plot. Should I just start writing without knowing the plot or should I write it bit by bit?

Either route will get you to the same destination fairly similarly. Start by describing a world, a region, or a village in quite a bit of detail. Then, do the same with a few characters. It is safe to assume that there will be some sort of hero. This doesn’t have to be a character who perfectly fits the mold of a hero. In fact, it is better to create a character who has a lot of growing/maturing to do before they actually become a hero.Once you have loosely generated a setting and a character or two, you can begin to form a plot around them. It helps to have already thought up your antagonist at this point, so that you can begin to create a conflict through this character. Basically, start slow. What would you do if you were suddenly transported to this place? How would you react if you were confronted by your antagonist? Chances are, if you’re a long-time fan of the genre, then you have likely thought about what you would do if Legolas Greenleaf needed your help, or Kvothe Kingkiller asked you to accompany him on the stage.Use what you know. Have fun with it, and absolutely start without knowing what the ultimate plot is going to be! As you spend time outlining the logistical aspects of your story, the plot will begin to surface organically. Make connections between your characters, and remember to draw from your experiences and reality. Good luck!

I need a good roleplay plot?

i dont have any suggestions exactly
but i can tell you what i do when i need roleplay plots

i usually look around the house, see random objects, one thought leads to another, and get ideas from there.
you can also think about what kind of roleplay exactly that you want
something angsty? or something cute and humorous?
just try to think of situations that the characters would fit in and you might be able to come up with something eventually

hope i helped~

What are some typical things you find repeated in manga (plots,archetypes,...)?

I'm just researching cause I wanna become a mangaka (I'm serious. Tonnes of people are like yeah I'm gonna become a mangaka,.... But aren't serious. Manga is my passion. I need help so I can figure out what most manga have plot wise and archetype wise,... Like I know for Disney they usually used to have a damsel in distress. For manga would you say a couple that is eccentric (Lovely complex has a freakishly tall girl and a freakishly short guy when guys r usually a tiny bit taller than the girls in relationships)

How would you know if someone were plotting to kill you?

If someone is trying to kill you, they will telegraph it by never putting themselves in the position that they plan to put you in to kill you, this applies to persons that are close to you, family or friends. They will not ever go with you to be around other persons that you know by themselves if they plan on taking you around someone that they know by yourself to kill you or have you killed. If they have considered poisoning you in a drink, they will be wary of drinks, if they plan on making it look like an accident, they will be extra careful, after all if they have thought of it for someone else, couldn't someone else think of it for them? Behaviors will change, they will always be nice if they are planning on getting away with it, they will be extraordinarily nice to condition witnesses into the belief that it would never be them that killed you, they were your best friend, be wary of "best friends" especially ones that seem to come out of nowhere, and come on quick. Essentially, everything they would think of to end your life, they would also consider that you have thought the same thing for them.

I wanna write a fictional story about a fictional rock band?

I think you have a wonderful idea. I haven't heard of another book with that idea, but even if there is one, so what? Your story will be unique because it comes from you. (There are very few, if any, completely original plots out there, anyway.)
