Want Me To Drop A Big Aussie Chocolate Cake On Your Face

Can chocolate raise body temperature?

I really don't think chocolate has any thing to do with your body temp.

Cold milk+melted chocolate=caked chocolate, how to "un-cake"?

Adding a small amount of liquid to melted chocolate will always make it clump. You would have done better to heat some cream and then whisk that into the chocolate chips. Here is a recipe for "dipping ganache" I found on the web pretty quickly:
8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup heavy cream
2 T butter, room temp.
-heat the cream in a saucepan until it starts to scald
-pour hot cream over chocolate chips and whisk until smooth
-whisk in butter until melted & incorporated

It's possible you can rescue your chocolate by doing this. The amount of milk you added may not be enough to significantly change this recipe. Good luck.

What happens if I add too much baking powder to my cake?

Yes it will produce more carbon dioxide than you need. Depending on the type of cake you are making a number of different things could happen. It would probably affect volume - how much it rises - and overall appearance. It might change the color, the surface might crack or there might be a large peak in the center of the cake. Again depends on the type of cake and what shape it is - for example 8 inch round layers vs a 9X13 flat sheet pan.For baking POWDER, technically, the flavor should be okay. Baking powder is designed to have equal amounts of acid and base and should neutralize completely. There may be - likely is - some type of natural acid in the cake. Milk or other dairy components, fruits or fruit juice would be the most common sources. This might throw off the neutralization leaving excess leavening acid which might throw off the flavor.

What Should I take to a Picnic date?

It isnt corny at all.It actually proves that you are well on your way to becoming a gentleman. You may very well be the perfect husband in the future.I have found through my years that most females appreciate that you take the time and make an effort to make them things as opposed to buying them things already made.It is more sentimental to them so they value it more.Consider maybe baking her cookies and if you can, pick a beautiful red rose from your neighbors rose garden(without being seen) and present it to her at the picnic.Let her know that you baked her the cookies and picked the rose for her.Good luck!

What are some social norms in Australia?

We tend to call a spade a spade, we don’t mince words. As a society we are quite politically incorrect.Thongs (flip flops) are worn almost anywhere and everywhere. All day breakfast is commonWe have a huge coffee/cafe cultureAlso an outdoor/surf cultureTipping isn’t expected. We do tip though sometimes mainly at dinner. Really never at lunch or cafes. We don’t tip our hairdresser or nail artist or any beautician service related person that is almost unheard of here. They all get paid decently from their employers though and do not count on tips to pay their bills. We eat with a knife and fork, (not just a fork like some)It’s absolutely not normal to call anyone older than you including your family members and parents ma’am or sir. Most people are going to check you on that and be offended lol. (Unless your a very elderly person and it’s said by a stranger than may be helping them in a store.) I know it’s a sign of respect in the US but not so much here!!!If you order a salad in Australia it comes with your meal not before your meal. For the most part we do like a drink and most of our pubs are very come as you are.We don’t appreciate pretentious people or places. If we go to a new cafe even if the coffee and food is great if there’s a vibe of snobbery from staff and owners chances are we won’t go back and furthermore it probably won’t end up doing too well. It’s normal to see people assisting the elderly whether it may be across the road, with groceries etc if they are struggling. We don’t give unsolicited advice or ask person questions to strangers out in public at the grocery stores etc.Lastly, we tease a lot!!! Which can come at the dismay of many international visitors. Come with your sense of humour and don’t be afraid to give it back to us! That’s what we want lol.

What are some fascinating moments that happened in your life?

Yes, I’ve had a lot of fascinating moments. One in particular was years ago, when my oldest daughter, Carrie, was a toddler and she first saw the mirror on the wall behind my bedroom door. She immediately stopped mid-stride.It reminded me of my cat, when he spotted a sunbeam. Sidney would run full-tilt through the living room, but the minute he stepped into a sunbeam — WHAM –- and like someone shot him, he dropped down, washed his face, stretched, got comfy and fell asleep in the sunbeam.Carrie’s first peek into the mirror was like making a new friend: the tentative first look at the other child, then a shy smile and, when the smile was returned, (and feeling bolder), there was the basic wave, which was also returned. Then she turned her back and peeked over her shoulder. When the new friend copied her, she smiled again, and bravely stuck out her tongue. Then, braver still, she gave a kiss.Once the introduction period was over, she made a lot of "can you do this?" moves. Each was copied, which brought even more complicated face-pulling, scary faces, and body contortions, like bending over and peeking through her legs.It didn't take long before the two were best friends. From then on, it only got sillier and sillier, with somersaults, jumping up and down, rolling left and right on the floor, and lifting shirts to compare belly buttons. It was fascinating! But the icing on the cake was her infectious laughter. So anytime you want to keep a toddler entertained for more than a few minutes, stand them in front of a full-length mirror. Have your camera ready. You're in for some fun. Now, I think my next project to watch in the mirror will be my partner, Robert, while he's shaving ...
