How do I write a cover letter for a job with Apple?
I once did a search for someone who now works at Apple. He is an incredibly smart executive who's done a tremendous amount of work in the medical device space. From the looks of his LinkedIn profile, it appears he took a demotion in title to work for Apple. I would presume he sees it as a promotion in opportunity at the most valuable company in the world. Apple is one of if not the most valuable company in the world. As of this writing they have received 2000 resumes just today. I'm kidding. I don't know if that is accurate. I'm making that number up. I'm sure we can all agree that they have tens of thousands of candidates applying for jobs at Apple all the time.Writing the perfect cover letter for Apple is NOT your way in. I'm certain of that. I'm certain with about 40-50 hours of research and ideas for the most challenging problems Apple is faced with, I could get my resume looked at by somebody not in the "People" department at Apple. I'm guessing they don't refer to themselves as HR. That's the real question you have to ask yourself. What problems is Apply facing? How can I help? Cover letters are mostly bull shit. Most HR and People departments require them. If they get a high volume of resumes they're not reading them anyways. I have 15 new resumes sitting in my inbox right now. I probably won't read their cover letter not because I don't want to but because I don't have time. Apple's talent acquisition team doesn't have time to read your cover letter. They most likely have some fancy software algorithm that tracks the key words in your resume to see if they match any of the jobs they have requisitions for. Evaluate and analyze a company's biggest problem. Have ideas for their problem. Then try to get in through the back door. That's how you get a great company to read anything you write.

Apple Retail Store Dear Apple, I am writing to inquire about working for you as a specialist and any openings you have available. I am really interested in working as a specialist. The first thing I realized when walked into the Apple store and bought my iPhone was that I’d really enjoy to work for the Apple store! I enjoyed the experience of buying the iPhone and the help they provided. I thought to myself, “I would defiantly enjoy having this kind of job and would greatly appreciate it very much!” I really like Apple products and the thought of working there. Its usually the first initial that you go by. But its just a game. I don't think it really matters what letter you land on but it just makes you think of random names you know. I wouldn't know why you landed on the same initial 9 times. Its just a coincidence I guess. Maybe it's the way your holding the stem as you turn it. It doesn't matter. I don't think there is a standard. Just use small and common words/names. You don't want to use a word/name that could be mistaken for another letter. You wouldn't want to say "C as in Cathey" since it could also be spelled Kathey. Instead use "C as in Cat". Here's what I use. Many of these are commonly used for this.
