Wanting Some Opinions On The Moral Justness Of A Character

How is Jem a dynamic character in the story to Kill a Mockingbird// hurry up 10 pts are waiting for you?

In the beginning we see Jem as a normal boy, fun-loving and care-free, loving football and going on dares. Although he remains Scout's playmate throughout the whole story, we find that he gradually separates himself from her, callin her a girl repeatedly. As the play progresses, we find that he changes. It is not merely that he grows up physically, but also mentally. The case which Atticus is fighting, that of Tom Robinson, a black man, tries his utmost belief in humanism. This case takes him through many stages of development. he has to learn to put up with the constant harrssment of his companions at school and even that of adults like Mrs Dubose who plainly tell him what they think of Atticus. His patience finally snaps and Mrs Dubose's camellias are the target.

Jem is shattered when he witnesses the trial of Tom Robinson. The unfairness of it hits him much more than it does Dill or Scout because he is already crossing through a turbulent stage of adolescence and makes him feel vulnerable. Just before the trial, he gets the 'lookouts' as Scout and Calpurnia call it and he decides to check on Atticus, an act which in all probabilty saves his life. At a time, Jem is crazy about his gun and is all admiration for Atticus when he is so very at ease with a gun.

Although he is himself disillusioned, he is able to pick up his life and go on. he recognizes the inherent good in people and comes to an understanding about Boo Radley, deciding that he stays in his house all day because he wants to. At the end of the book, when they are attacked by Mr Ewell, Jem fights for his life and that of Scout. He protects Scout and gets his arm broken in the process. Many years later he can still live and discuss about the events that lead to it.

I would have given you a link to sparknotes if the first answerer had not already pasted it above.

Hope this helps!

Describe the character of Atticus Finch in the book To Kill A Mockingbird.?

To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee

Guide/Mentor

Atticus Finch

As their father, Atticus is supposed to provide guidance to Jem and Scout, but he does an exceptionally good job of it. He isn’t afraid to speak honestly to his kids, and even explains what rape is to Scout when she asks. Atticus not only talks to his children about what he wants to teach them and why, he also tries to provide a good example to them in his own conduct. In practicing what he preaches, Atticus shows his kids that such behavior is not only desirable, but possible. And as the ethical center of the book, Atticus gives the reader a moral compass with which to navigate the shifting sands of Maycomb values.

It can feel like GoT is filled with morally bankrupt characters, but fortunately, there are a lot of good and decent people, too.All the Starks, including Jon Snow. The Starks are lawful and good by nature. Eddard is the best example of a noble and decent Lord, who values honor more than life itself. Unfortunately, that doesn't do him much good. As the series progresses, we see the Starks becoming more and more pragmatic and willing to compromise their values in order to survive (especially Arya). But in the end, their goals are still honorable. The Tyrells. I think the Tyrells want to be a force for good in the world, as well. However, they're not beneath doing dirty deeds to oppose something they see as evil or morally broken. They're behind the Purple Wedding to protect Margaery from being in an abusive relationship.S̶t̶a̶n̶n̶i̶s̶ ̶B̶a̶r̶a̶t̶h̶e̶o̶n̶. Edit after S05E09: I used to root for Stannis, but he's dead to me now.Ser Davos Seaworth. Completely loyal to Stannis, but not afraid to tell him if he's making the wrong choices. Saves Gendry's life at great personal risk.Varys. He is a schemer, but in the end he fights for the good of the realm. He truly believes the realm is better off if the Targaryens are back in power, so he'll do anything to make that happen.Samwell Tarly. A true and loyal friend to Jon, and an unlikely champion for ethics. Goes out of his way to save Gilly and her baby boy.I agree with Harry Seeber that every character has their own set of moral values. Most of them pursue their own interests, which often conflict with the interests of others. Terms like "good or evil" are only described by the one's who are in power. Game of Thrones is anything but black and white.

What's your opinion on the Jodi Arias Case?

does she deserve the death penalty?
Do you find her attractive? What's your opinion on her character?
Do you believe Travis was abusive?
Is she a narcissist?
Do you believe she is manipulative and calculating?
What's your theory on what happened?
Any thoughts and opinions?

I was shocked that she was even found guilty in the first trial, not because I believe she's innocent but because people tend to believe, trust or feel sympathy for people like her ( she's a pretty women in my opinion and she's young and of small frame so many will see her as a victim or like there is no way she did this)

My opinion is what a waste, she wasted her beauty and intelligence on obsessing over a man who didn't love or appreciate her. Her bad choices have ruined her life and though I did find sympathy for her at some point, I just know that she had to have been enraged to a point I can't even imagine, i guess I could reason with just a stab or a shot but she tore him up the details are terrible I just feel like she had enough time while stabbing him to catch herself and realize what she was doing was wrong but instead she kept stabbing him and tried to decapitate him, she's definitely guilty
I hope they reach a verdict soon.

Death Note, is a show which constantly tests your judgment on morality of the characters. On one hand, you have Light Yagami, a high school genius who has a "Death Note"(read: Power to kill anyone he wants to). His possible options were:Use it to satisfy his selfish desires and “kill” the people he detests the most.Become the savior of the world. He chooses the second one. This shows a lot about his character. With great power, comes great responsibility, and the way you handle it actually determines your character.Light had good intentions originally, but having such a god-like power at his disposal, it’s inevitable he would use it for much more grand, if not dominating schemes. Having such surefire power, he viewed that his actions are always right; he didn’t even blink an eye while murdering countless humans, be it criminals, investigators nor just innocent bystanders. We are humans, we all have a darker side, though Light may have succumbed to his dark side a bit too easily; he was just like a kid who stumbled upon a new toy, immediately satisfying his greed for world evolution. On the other hand, there's L. The world's best detective set out to find Kira under any circumstance. Remember, the "under any circumstance" is an important part. Although L was portrayed as a good guy, he did have his share of wrongdoings.L himself may have indirectly ended a few lives of some other criminals on his own investigations as well. He is a mysterious enigma, but I’m sure it should be no surprise that he might be involved in a number of killings. He made vague decisions which caused quarrels within his group to erupt at times. He also used harsh and brutal interrogation methods as well, shown in one scene where he trapped Misa for an extended period of time, just to get some answers.Justice and morally correct are vague terms. Their definition differs from person to person. In my definition, both have committed sins. At that end, it all comes down to the “scale” of their sins. If I were to pick, L would be a better preference. I would always prefer an realist, who abides by the law over an idealist, who thinks he alone can change the world and be someone close to "God".

Muhammad was a violent religious leader. In His first revelation he told his first wife he was seized by a demon. She convinced him it was a message from God.he was a sexual deviant and a vile person and a wife beater. For exampleNarrated Aisha:The Prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became all right, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's Blessing and a good luck." Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah's Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 234)Quran 4:34 Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) strike them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all).Narrated Umar ibn al-Khattab: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: A man will not be asked as to why he beat his wife. Dawud 11:2142The Quran has over 112 verses condoning violence especially against non Muslims.i dare you to find even one verse where Jesus condoned violence.

Sakura is a decent character.Often referred to as the "pink banshee". I think Sakura is just fine as a character. After being trained by Tsunade, she's one of the strongest kunoichi.Shes just constantly overshadowed by Naruto and Sasuke, who are of course, in a league of their own.Edit: typo

Word for someone that likes justice?

What would you call someone that's focused on making sure the right thing always happened?
For example, they knew a girl who found a cat, and they also knew the original owners of the cat. They are determined to make sure the cat gets back to its rightful owner.

This is a easy and kind of silly example, but what would you call someone who likes justice? I'm looking for a character trait.

Please and Thank you.

Like any other project of education the importance of moral education is to know something about the world and yourself.Moral education is about knowing how to behavior given certain conditions of the world (e.g., models of the world). It’s about how to govern yourself in some given context of human experience. It’s about value and meaning. If no moral education, you’ll be lost in this world without any sense of meaning, order or any model of systematic right and wrong. You’ll be limited in your understanding of the world and of yourself.
