Warm Destination Holiday For February Time

Malta in February-sunbathing? Is it warm??? I just don't know?

Hey, right now it's not as cold as it was a few weeks ago, when it was freezing. You would be okay with jeans, a long sleeved shirt and a waterproof jacket just in case it decides to rain (it's not really rain, just dribbles). You don't need thermal underwear (or cotton undershirts for that matter!). The temperature is a bit colder during the evening and night, and you'll probably need something warmer (such as jacket - but not a thermal one!). Gloves and a cap only if you are cold intolerant (which I don't think so if you've been living in under zero conditions!).

Regarding swimming - I urge you not to do it. The sea is about 15 degree Celcius, but it would be windy and VERY dangerous. IT is not unheard of to hear about people drowning at this time of the year, and the sad thing is that they are mostly tourists from the Northern countries, who find the temperature warm and the sea just right, and try to swim, however the strong winds make it a very dangerous practice. I am not trying to frighten you, but am just trying to caution you. In Malta there are not many sandy beaches, as most are rocky (and the sandy ones are made of a lot of sand thrown over rocks), and thus the wind and the rocks make for a very dangerous combination when trying to swim. There is nothing to stop you from enjoying the sea from a sandy beach without getting into it.

Re sunbathing... right now (real time) it is raining, but usually the day is mostly sunny. If you don't mind the sub-20 degree temperature (we're talking about 15 - 19 degree Celsius here), you may get a tan as the sun's presence can be felt. Look up www.maltaweather.com for real time updates of the weather.

Hope this helped, and hope you enjoy your holiday!

Is Miami a good place to go on holiday in January? Is it warm enough to go to the beach?

There is a difference between Miami and Miami Beach, but January is the best time for Northerners to visit. The ocean temperatures are in the 70’s and the daytime temperatures are often around 85. Of course, there may be a few day that drop into the low 70’s but that's better than anywhere else in the continental United States. Miami, proper, doesn't actually have any beaches. Miami Beach is the most famous beach but there are beautiful beaches on Key Biscayne as well. It is als the busiest time of year starting with Art Basel in December, the Holidays and then a variety of festivals and art fairs running through May. Hotels on the Beach (that's what locals call Miami Beach) are pricey but you can find some real deals if you don't want to be right on the beach. Miami Beach is not a quiet place. It is not an island getaway. There are clubs and restaurants and all kinds of shopping from medium priced to very high end Bal Harbor Shops with Dolce, Gucci, Prada, Etro, Tiffanies, Saks and Nieman Marcus. All over South Beach there are little treasures tucked away so it's a great walking place. It's only 8 blocks wide by about 20 blocks long with ocean front boardwalks all along the beach. I live here and think of it as Greenwich Village with a beach. Those of who live here live for this time of year and travel in the summer when it can be really hot, humid and rainy. This is the dry season so you stand the best chance of getting the most “beach time”. It a people watching feast so prepare for anything, but it's also very safe as long as you use common sense (a trait that seems to diminish the later at night it gets). So, come on down and have fun. One note: Miami Beach is an adult place. There are better places to stay if you have kids, like Key Biscayne. In addition, Miami proper has a wonderful Opera company, Art Museum, Zoo and Children's Museum located downtown.

Any suggestions for a February honeymoon?

February is a beautifull month to go to Jamaica, wonderful water, coral reef and top snorkling and delphin watching.. If you don`t go to the all-inclusive Resorts (Sandals, etc) you should be able to stay in a good budget. Go to www.bookit.com they have great prices on hotels and give you also the flight package. If it is still too much, then choose Hawaii. Congratulations.

Can you swim in Miami beach in February?

It should be warm enough to lay out, but the water temp is about 70-75 degrees---so swimming depends on you. Typically in the summer, it's about 10 degrees hotter, the water temp. But typically, it is the tourists that you will see in the water in Dec-Feb! Ha ha. There are always people out, laying out, hanging out and lots to do in Miami. South Beach, Ft Lauderdale...etc. South FL the only warmest spot in the US during that time.

Best place to visit in February in the States?

I've got family in New Mexico so I've spent a lot of time there. There's not much to do or see.

San Diego is a lot of fun with lots to do and see. Feb is a good time to go whale watching. Also winter is good time to go to the San Diego Zoo or any of the big amusement parks like Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm or Magic Mountain. They're a lot more fun when it isn't super hot and super crowded.

There are a lot of spots along the coast that are really pretty and nice beaches that are still pretty in Feb but it's a bit to cool to go swimming and play at the beach.

There's an area of the city called Old Town that I've heard is pretty cool but I've never been there. So I would def choose San Diego over anywhere in New Mexicohttp://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g...

The other place that I would suggest is Panama City Florida. Feb is a nice time to visit there and it's just beautiful. Pretty much all we did the week we were there was spend our days at the beach but it was so amazing! That was all we really wanted to do.

Is February a good time to travel to Europe?

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

It depends on your criteria.Related to weather: Barcelona temperatures are never extreme and you shouldn't be very worried by that. As Jennifer Woodard M and Thibaut Loilier say, if you want to avoid the hotter days or the colder ones come during fall or spring. However, probabilities of rain are higher at those periods too...Related to tourism: From October to March the number of tourist decreases significantly, so you will avoid the biggest crowds.Related to celebrations and free open air events: Most of those events happen from may to september. In MY opinion the best months to come are may, june, july and september. In those months the weather is good enough to find plenty of traditional and funny open-air activies (Festes Majors, La Mercè, castellers, correfocs, ...) where you can feel the local vibe (if you want to experience it). Some people may say that in June, July the city is crowded with tourists but in my opinion some touristic sights are always crowded, if you want to avoid touristic crowds it doesn't depend on when you come but on what you visit. If you give yourself a time to escape from the Ciutat Vella or Gaudí itineraries you'll avoid tourists almost any time of the year. I don't include august cause most of Barcelonians leave the town, the best places to eat and drink close during this month and many pickpockets arrive at town for this month. But no worries, whenever you come you'll have a great time ;)If you want to know more, check my blog: Save the Guiris - Barcelona by a localEnjoy Barcelona!!

Whats the best time to go to cancun?

Average temperature for Jan & Feb, 70 degrees low, 85 degrees high. You can swim all year. I have never found the water to be cold at anytime. My wife and I normally vacation in the Mayan Riviera at the end of November for two weeks. The weather is warm, and the water is also. We have visited the area in Feb, March, & April for friends special occasions, but found it to be more crowded, and a little to hot for my liking.

Crowds at Disney World in February?

I don't think you have anything to worry about. According to the Walt Disney World website just prior to Presidents' week in February is a time of lowest attendance, therefore it should be less crowded.

* Yes, it is true that the attendance of Walt Disney World continues to steadily grow every year. And it's getting harder and harder to get reservations at any of the Resorts during any time of the year. I had to book my reservations for my next trip as soon as I got back from Walt Disney World in August in order to get the room and view I wanted at the Resort I wanted. The Resort's already almost completely booked for the summer, with the exception of a few extremely expensive suites. That's just how things are - there's no "recent studies." But the Walt Disney World Company still considers the week you're going a time of lowest attendance. Have fun!

Here's a list of everything that will be closed for refurbishment while you're there...

El Rio del Tiempo at EPCOT
Teppanyaki Dining Room at EPCOT
Tomorrowland Indy Speedway at the Magic Kingdom
Fantasia Pool at Disney's All Star Movies Resort
Riverside Mill Food Court at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside
Silver Creek Springs Pool, hot tub and Kiddie Pool at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
Palio at the Walt Disney World Swan
Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
