Warranty For Nexus 7 Need Info Of What Is Covered

I didn't drop my Nexus 7. However, the screen got cracked in an awesome way. Is it covered under warranty by any chance? I bought this from the US. Also, is there any reliable service station at Chennai?

No, broken screen is not covered in warranty, no matter why it got broken, they will say that it's a case of rough handling and misuse. And one of my friend happens to have dealt with the same issue and ASUS said that they will charge 9k (for a 10K tablet! seriously? yes!). And there is no other option! You can't get a replacement screen from local vendor, since 'compatible' screens aren't available for N7(2012, not sure about 2013 though).

If I buy a nexus 4 in the US,will warranty work in India?

My Nexus 5 has a screen flickering issue. How can I get a warranty replacement? What should I do?

Did your phone just stop working for no reason at all? Is your phone less than a year old? You might be able to file a warranty claim and get a working phone again.Manufacture warranties come with the phone when you buy it and are basically a promise by the manufacturer that they will stand behind their product and resolve any issues that the phone experiences that isn’t caused by the user of the device. Not to be confused with insurance, a manufacturer’s warranty does NOT cover physical damage, liquid damage, lost, or stolen devices. It will typically cover software related issues and any known issues that might be common on that specific make and model.Common or known issues might include bad Trackpads, trackballs, keyboard keys, bad back plates, bad hinge springs (on flip phones), bad volume keys, power issues, or any type of hardware issue that a high number of people might experience during the use of their device. Software issues are probably the most common among manufacturer defects. So if you’re having issues with your phone the warranty is often the best solution available. How to file a warranty claim can depend a lot on different situations however. The standard warranty involves you contacting the manufacturer of your device and then sending your phone in for repair and ask for help. Then after they have repaired the unit they send it back to you. The specifics of the exchange depend on the manufacturer as far as shipping times cost of shipping if applicable etc. Usually there is no charge for the repair itself as long as there is no physical damage or liquid damage on the unit. This option ill get to a little more in depth later in the article but it’s not always the preferred solution in some cases. Some wireless carriers provide a warranty for their customers and will actually send you a replacement phone in the mail or will call you, once you get the replacement its often just a base unit, it won’t come with a back, a battery, a SIM card, memory cards, or anything of that nature. You use all of the pieces from your original phone. Then you put the original defective phone in the box that the replacement phone came in and mail the original phone to warehouse and let your wireless provider deal with it. A prepaid return label is usually sent with the replacement. so i think this content will help to  redissolve your problem.

My Asus Nexus 7 is completely dead and won't charge. Can anyone help me troubleshoot?

Hi there, I have an Asus Nexus 7 and the battery is playing up I believe. It ran down to 10% and has been acting funny since. Now it won't turn on or charge. I've ran through the troubleshooting with Google and Asus, and nothing seems to work. I've also reseated the battery.

I want to know if it's completely bricked, or if I just need a new battery... Here's what it is doing...

The back of the tablet is slightly warm when leaving it on charge. (Does this show the battery is charging)
When I plug it into my laptop, it attempts to install the driver but fails. (Does this show that the charging port is working as it recognises being plugged in).

I'm happy to buy another battery, just worried it still won't work. I have a multimeter that I'm going to try later when I get home.

N.B. It's out of warranty

Why isn't Google forcing Asus to manufacture the Nexus 7 in the United States like the Nexus Q?

Google is a joke. They make NOTHING (but $$)while creating headaches and an unsecure internet, especially for children. Why Microsoft and IBM etal allowed them to take over is baffling. Shame on (me) the consumers and corporations for falling for this invasive behemoth to shape our future technological lives.
