Was Adolf Hitler A Good Leader In His Time

Was Hitler a good leader?? ?

If he wouldve used his leadership skills for the good he wouldve been a really good leader. Hitler was well spoken, very charismatic and had a way to get others to follow his visions and beliefs. just sucks he used it for the dark side

ooo you can also talk about how his quest for the perfect arian race included a really specific work out regime for the youth of germany which is perhaps the reason that germany excelled in the olympics during and shortly after hitlers reign

kk i have one more thing to add, sorry this interests me haha i watched a documentry on hitler and his speeches were so motivating and entertaining that jewish people would actually go to his speeches because they were so popular it was like the thing to do and a few admitted to actually have been moved by him. the way he delivered his speech really grasped everyone in the crowd

hope i helped =)

Was Adolf Hitler a good leader?

I think he was clearly off his nut well before, but the most obvious milestone was when the Nazi party started blaming the Jews for ... everything, and started talking about racial purity.

The qualities of a leader MUST include the goals that he or she is leading you towards. The ability to get people to agree, the ability to mobilize etc. are *NOTHING* if your end goal is to jump off a cliff.

However, yes, he did have many of the qualities of a great leader: He did have the ability to express his opinion in a way that excited the electorate, etc.

Clearly, he was not as good a leader as, say, Churchill - who kept the British together as things were getting progressively worse and on until ultimate victory. Hitler started with people who were desperate to be lead - much easier pickings then a well informed essentially happy people.

Hitler's decisions became progressively more chaotic and ill-thought out as it became more obvious that the Third Reich was doomed.

Hitler: a good leader, but a bad person?

He was a unifier for the working class. His speeches were very good and he gave the people a feeling of hope for the future of the German race. He was a vegetarian who believed in animal rights and environmental issues. His other fascists beliefs led him to require a universal healthcare program to dictate that all Germans follow strict health practices to make Germany strong.

His ideas were considered a purer form of fascism than Mussolini's in that they were as anti-capitalist and anti-religious as you can get. His ideas sounded good to the masses, but once the veil was removed, he was seen for the monster he truly was. By then it was too late, the damage was done.

He wasn't as much a good leader as a good motivator. Hatred motivated him and he was able to motivate a large number of followers this way.

Why was Adolf Hitler a bad leader?

Define your terms. He was an outstanding leader, in the sense that he inspired great (sometimes fanatical) loyalty in a nation of eighty million souls, and got them to follow him pretty much without question.

Of course, he led them in directions which were utterly reprehensible; but that was because he was a bad man, not a bad leader.

Was Adolf Hitler a good military leader? I've heard that he was rather incompetent. Is this true or is that simply former Allied countries trying to downplay how much of a threat he was?

Hitler was a terrible military leader. He obviously did some things that were frightening and impressive from a leadership standpoint. However, viewing strictly from a military perspective, he made many decisions that led to the Third Reich’s downfall and ultimate defeat in World War II.The following, in no particular chronological order, is a brief overview of some of the many bad decisions that made Hitler an incompetent military leader. The biggest blunder he made that many scholars would have a tough time arguing with was the decision to invade the Soviet Union. It was a terrible decision all around for many reasons. Simplest being that the Soviet Union is incredibly large country. Logistically speaking it required many more times the amount of fuel, maintenance, and everything that accompanies keeping a large army equipped to fight a protracted war. This decision was made at a time he had peace treaty with the Soviet Union and completely unnecessary from a military perspective.Hitler was also obsessed with making things extremely large. While this was intimidating it was also foolish for the obvious reason that objects that are extremely large are also visible from the air and makes them easy targets to bomb. A good example of this is his V-2 rocket launching bunker at La Coupole. Against the his advisers wishes of having many small and mobile launching sites for his rockets. He went ahead and constructed this massive bunker and to the surprise of no one, except Hitler, the bunker was ultimately destroyed by allied bombers before it could be put into action. One can also argue that the entire V-1 and V-2 rocket program was a waste of precious time, money, and effort. While the rocket attacks against London were no doubt terrifying, they were of little military advantage. Each rocket attack killed on average 2 to 3 Londoners in each strike. The cost of the program was in the billions of dollars and this could have been spent on much more lethal conventional weapons. The holocaust was also of zero military importance. It was a personal vendetta that consumed massive amounts of resources. From a war fighting perspective it was a complete distraction made by an incompetent military leader. This is a very short list of decisions that made Hitler a poor military leader. I am grateful that the list is much longer and do not have the time to include them all.

Was Hitler a great leader?

In terms of morality, where he was not a very good person, but since person and leader are somehow very very different, yes he was a good leader. He led his people to great heights, and the country was the closest one to achieving world domination, if they had better technology then they would have.

He gained his people's trust, he gained a lot of loyalty from his staff and everyone else who didn't hate him.

What made Hitler such a great leader?

Hitler wasn't actually all that great of a leader. We only think this because of the propaganda films we have seen from the 1930's

Even though the Nazis can take some credit for turning the economy around and building national pride through force and propaganda. The reality is if Hitler wasn't able or allowed to come to power Germany's economy would have still rebounded it just would have been slower.

Hitler was more of a great showman then a leader. He knew how to say the right things and put on a good show. It was mass motivation through national pride and emotion. Hitler and his deputies were also very manipulative to people seated in the pre-nazi government and were able to get into power. Manipulation of politics is not the sign of a good leader.

Because of the propaganda, the way he took power and his personality he was exceptionally paranoid. Hitler was constantly concerned of a take over or Assassination hence the SS bodyguards and their brutality. All of his deputies were strange manipulative characters that knew how to keep Hitler happy and occupied however they were willing to betray him in his final days. By 1943 hitler was just a shadow of his former days and by late 1944 he was a wreck.

Paranoia and fear are not the signs of a great leader.

If we are going to talk accomplishments from an objective point of view one could say Speeding up the economy through pride and motivations and working with industry leaders to ensure its success.

The other accomplishments would have been growth of technology and science due to the War
