Did you know that Reagan armed and trained Osama and his fellow radicals whom later formed al qaeda?
Would al-qaeda exist if Reagan wasn't president? I am referring to the Soviet vs. Afghanistan battle. Reagan had the American government train and arm Osama and other Taliban members, who at the time were a tiny and weak radical group, so that they could fight the Soviets. If we hadn't trained them and armed them with first class training and weaponry, it is likely that they would have been contained by the Afghani govt. Instead, the Taliban, led by Osama, took over Afghanistan. So, don't you think Reagan is at least partially responsible for them succeeding? I am not saying he is responsible for their hatred or their radical islamic beliefs, simply their rise to power which was achieved through our training and arms. Look, I get that fighting the Soviets was necessary. I am not denying that. However, by training and arming known Islamic radicals and simply letting them go was a bad idea. We shouldn't have used Afghanistan to fight the Soviets and then simply abandon them. We should have kept our eye on Osama and prevented him from taking over Afghanistan.

Ronald Reagan was one of the worst presidents in the history of America. He caused great harm to our country. His legacy is the divided America we see today.He invited the fundamentalist, evangelical Christians into our political process and helped create the social issues that are now their rallying cries.He lowered taxes on the wealthiest Americans so much that it began the huge transfer of wealth to the top 1% of Americans.He promoted the meme that Government is the Problem that haunts us still today.His trickle down economics have decimated the middle and lower classes in America and are still being peddled by the republicans.He took credit for ‘winning’ the cold war even though the fall of the USSR would have happened without him.During his second term his Alzheimer's was so advanced and debilitating that he was barely even able to govern. He had to have notes to remind him who his cabinet members were.There are many more issues I could write but others have done a better job than I could do.Ronald Reagan’s ‘greatness’ is complete bullshit and the result of excellent marketing and propaganda.

That was when Reagan violated the Constitution of the United States of America and illegally funded terrorists in South America.
