Was The Rise Of Isis Avoidable Or Inevitable

Was the rise of ISIS avoidable or inevitable?

If the U.S. had not invaded Iraq in 2003, this whole mess would have been avoided.

How will history view the rise and fall of ISIS?

In 2014, a new terrorist group rose to power in the Middle East and it controls an area the size of the United Kingdom in Iraq and SyriaTo understand the rise of ISIS, we have to go back in 1979, when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan to expand its influence in South AsiaA young man well educated and rich named Osama bin Laden came from Saudi to Afghan to help Islamic people in the fight against Soviet -Red ArmyBin Laden viewed this invasion as an act of aggression against Islam by the same way another young man named Abu Musab al-Zarqawi came from Jordon to AfghanBoth Bin-laden and Abu Musab fought a side by side and defeat The Soviet by the help of The US and Saudi. When Soviets announced withdrawing its troops from Afghan in 1989 - all the fighter returned back to their homeWatch this video to understand The Rise and Fall of ISIS?

All BS aside, what did Obama do to make your average conservative angry, there's plenty of positives, but what about the negatives?

He started his term by jacking up spending by about $600 billion a year, which became a new spending baseline that we have yet to roll back (and probably never will). Plus, he lied about the purpose of those funds by saying they were going to go to infrastructure and “shovel ready” projects, when they overwhelmingly just went to bail out political allies who had blown out state and local budgets. And, he blamed the spending on his predecessor despite the fact that the bill was passed a month after he took office. His administration used the federal bureaucracy against conservative organizations when they began to adopt the “community organizing” strategy that liberals have used for years. He issued hundreds of top-down orders enforcing liberal orthodoxy on state and local organizations of all types. The one time he actually negotiated a bi-partisan deal (the 2012 budget deal) he backed out of it at the last minute, blamed his opponents, and then he used the resulting budget shutdown to purposely inflict pain on the American people. For example, renting barriers to shut down open-air monuments. He used straw-man arguments to punish his opponents instead of dealing in good faith and tried constantly to paint people with policy disagreements as racist. There is a reason that he let the birther thing go on so long. It allowed the president and his allies to paint their opponents as racist, despite the fact that nearly every mainstream conservative in politics and commentary disavowed that birther movement. (And no, Trump wasn’t mainstream up until the point he won the nomination…still not sure he’s mainstream, at that.)But mostly, he was the embodiment of a elitist faculty-lounge liberal that most conservatives find absolutely abhorrent. In almost the exact same way that Trump is the embodiment of a rich, white, entitled business man that most liberals find absolutely abhorrent.

What are recurring themes you have noticed from the wars throughout history?

Not a good idea of being a civilian when armies are nearby.Have you seen G.O.T. ? , Well it talks a lot about plundering , raping and other kindness typical of the armies all along history. In XXth century it becomes sometimes worse with racial cleansing, ideological cleansing , cultural cleansing.Do you really need any examples ?The Antiquity wasn’t less crual . Romans were among the best players …Around 3 millions Gauls sold in slavery after Julius Caesar conquest. Around 30% to 25% of the population. Male, female and children alike of course.Carthago burnt to the ground and salt even spreaded to the land avoid any further settlements. All population killed or enslaved , all population. What’ s “funny” about this is that if destroyed in 146 BC the same romans rebuilt the city at same place in 29 AD.Do you know that even nowadays it is very hard to find out Cartheginian artefacts at the place where Carthago was. There is many examples of Roman brutality…Middles ages heard about some one called Gengis Khan and pyramids of beheaded. No joke some cities in central asia had simply nearly dissapeared from history.Renaissance, Yes Leonardo and Michelle Angelo also the thirty years war in Germany and central Europe with the kindness of the various mercenaries like the Sack of Magdeburg.I stopped there the list of atrocities done by armies on civilians people.Just a point more , from beginning on XXth century to nowadays the ratio between military killed by war/civilian killed by war is growing and growing more on the civilian side.WW1 was nearly 60/40 on the military ( illness caused by bad living conditions costs a lot in some areas , also the Armenian genocide )WW2 nearly 60/40 on the civilian .VIETNAM around 70/30 on the civilians. 3 millions dead for Vietnam. Civilians killed mostly Vietnamese.Iraki freedom. well the numbers are very blurred but it seems that the ratio is around 75/25 on the civilians. The conflict itself from 250 k to 1 million. Mostly Irakians of course …It is now nearly safer being in the army than being a civil if a war occurs. Paradoxical isn’t it ?

Will climate change cause World War 3?

Consider a Syria-like situation:Climate change disrupted food supplies causing some of rural population to move to city centers…Inability/refusal of government to provide assistance to population…Startered/contributed to uprising and civil war…Many people leave the area to avoid, well, death…Lack of resources (food, water, $) to those who stay behind contribute to growth of ISIS and other extremist groups who offer those resources to entice membershipIndoctrination and blame the “other" for the problemsTerrorism (for lack of a better term)Introduction of larger players to fight against terrorists (but really to conduct proxy wars)Proxy wars can lead to direct engagement between larger players. In the meantime, migrants make long and dangerous treks to safe havens/countriesSome/many already living there get angry the new people are now “competing" against them for resources, jobs, health careCreation/rise/strengthening of right wing groups against migrants and supportersRise/election of right wing leadersThey can’t address issues, say “the other" is the problemSome of population recognizes situation and tries to create resistance, butLeaders attempt to consolidate power, try to unify the population against shrinking resistance….Realize war is a great way to stir up passions and strengthen nationalismInitiate aggression, creatingWarWhat kind of war depends upon who it is and their tools of warWhether it expands to greater conflict depends upon relationships between other countries/regions…World War III?This is very simplistic and I'm going to get trashed for all this, but if you want to understand what's going on just use this as a template. And then add a worsening climate. Everything down the pipeline will rise accordingly and shit will continue to roll downhill.Sorry for the bad news, and I hope I'm wrong.
