Wattpad Readers Check Out My Book

How to get more reads on Wattpad?

Why should it matter about how many reads you have on Wattpad? Why are you even writing fiction in the first place if all you care about is being popular? Write because you enjoy it, not because you want internet popularity. In the real world of writing and publishing, nobody cares about internet sites like these anyway so I wouldn't worry.

Let's face it, if you were submitting a query letter to an agent they aren't exactly going to give a toss about how many reads you have on Twatpad, nor whether thousands of whiny preteen girls on the internet give you good reviews.

And if you say that when you 'get published' no one will read your stories, for a matter of fact this is irrelevant. It takes anything from at least 20 years to get to even a remotely publishable standard, and even then the chances are pretty slim.

At the end of the day, all of the people who write that illiterate drivel on Twatpad about vampire/werewolf teenage love triangles, with an abundance of basic grammar mistakes, are never going to make it in the real world. They may have a million views on their crappy Twilight/Hunger Games knock-off, but in reality they have zero chance of making it anywhere in the real world. Ever.

How can I advertise my Wattpad book?

There isn’t a magic formula, a cut and dry method to attract readers to any particular book. Wattpad is home to millions of stories and as a result, it can be quite challenging to stand out from the crowd. That being said, there are definitely several ways to improve your odds and propel you towards success.Write a captivating story. Advertising on social media or Quora may bring curious readers to the story, but spelling errors, poor grammar or a cliche plot will often turn readers away after the opening chapters. To build lasting success, it is imperative that the writing itself is polished and engaging.Join book clubs. Many writers use it as a mean to connect and interact with others, but book clubs can also serve as a check on your writing. It can be difficult to find flaws in your own writing, but a second set of eyes will often see mistakes that the author missed. Another benefit of book clubs is exposure. More users reading the story means a higher chance of finding your next loyal reader.Use the forums. Like book clubs, it is a great way to connect and interact with other readers. The forums contain all the information and knowledge you will need to succeed on Wattpad. Here, you can find a cover or trailer designer - first impressions are important in drawing in readers - or ask insiders about traditional and self publishing or simply have a conversation with others about your favorite fandom. The key here is exposure. By building and developing positive relationships with other users, they will be more inclined to read your story. There are so many more ways to efficiently promote your stories, but I want to keep this post short and easy to navigate. For more information on finding success on Wattpad, one of the stories that I recommend is Michael Limjoco’s “Cracking the Wattpad Code”. Michael discusses various tactics in an in-depth but easy to understand manner to guide users towards success. If you have any further questions, find me on Wattpad (BrandonWong048) or send me an email at bwong1202@gmail.com. I would be happy to help.

How can I see who checks my story on Wattpad?

As far as I know, you can't see exactly who reads your story. What you can do is see the amount of different people reading your book each day. You can also see who votes and comments. At the end of a chapter leave a short and kind reminder to vote if they liked the chapter then ask a question or something.

You go to the page that your story is on, and in the top right hand corner, just above the description of the story there is a thing that says dedicate to: and then you can choose from a wattpad friend, a facebook friend, and another friend on neither of these things.

How do you know if people read your story on Wattpad?

So I uploaded a story and I noticed the reads kept going up. However I'm very confused. Are these people reading through the whole story or is it different people reading? Also can you find out if people put your story in their library? And no there's no comments or votes on my story.
