We Are Going To Australia In December And Our Stop Over At Bangkok For A Day Can We Get A Visa To

Do Indians need visa to travel to Hong Kong and Macau?

Sorry for answering very late. I tell my very bad experience. I had traveled to all South East Asian countries several times including KL, Singapore & Bangkok and other places. But i never had such a bitter experience. When i went to Hongkong for a 4 day visit on 22nd Dec, 2015, morning flight to Chek Lap Kok Airport I had been refused entry in Airport and quarantined by the Immigration Authority. In spite of my arguments as i came as a tourist, had a valid passport, Confirmed Return Air ticket to Chennai, India, Valid Hotel Booking, Confirmed Big Bus Tour Ticket for 48 hrs and sufficient balance both in currency as well as Bank Statement, my Leave Letter Grant Signed by the Management for Vacation, they showed my a Inquiry Room. I thought they only quarantine Solo Traveler like me and only when i entered the room i saw some 2 or 3 person groups mostly Gents except 2 ladies came with their respective relatives but all 100% Indians mostly of Punjabi. Off the group around 30% were detained for the past 2 days. I don’t know about others but in my case even after showing all genuine documents they requested me to depart in the immediate flight which was available that day on Evening 7.15 pm via KL , forced me to book that flight but till that time off-course they provided a Chinese Tea, some Oily Vegetable Salads, Assorted Fruits as i told that i am a vegetarian. I had even approached the Chief Immigration Officer who was a Lady for the reason of refusal, and told about my Nationality, the Non requirement of Visa for 14 days, etc, she agreed with a smile but politely told that this might be due to some problem created by Punjabi Indians during that period, and even though i happens to be a genuine person once refused entry by the Immigration Officers even by their own mistakes, it will be fed in to their Computers and subsequently can not be amended except in extreme cases and apologized for the inconvenience. Then 2 Immigration Executives escorted me up to the flight seat and returned like handing over a criminal. Subsequently i came to know there are lot of other Indians mainly solo travelers are refused entry not only in to Hongkong but also in Macau. I will never think of Hongkong or Macau after that and posted it in various Blogs including Trip Advisor.com. So Indians “Beware of Hongkong or Macau”.

Is October or December better for travel in Thailand?

it depend on where you want to go. If you want to go natural park and waterfall, october will be fine. Coz a few rain in december will make waterfall dry. Another thing is its not good to beach in October because of weather. You may stuck on the island.
If you want to go to beach, I suggest you to go in december. I think december will be better coz of cold weather. If you want to go to hot place like Ayuthaya, december wil be great.

How do I plan a trip to Australia from India?

Just go to the Australian Embassy and find out if you are eligible for a Visa to enter. If you are to be a 'Bona Fide' traveller, you shouldn't have any issue in obtaining the Visa. They will ask you heaps of questions including availability of your funds and the proof of same. If they ever suspect your intention is to go and stay illegally, they can easily find out by way of their 'Unique' questioning techniques! If you can still manage to arrive contrary to what you originally told them, they can make the country very unattractive for you to the extent where you will long to go back to India for good. What can they do for example? If you are in need of a Hospital, they will ask for your Medicare Card without which you won't be able to get any medical assistance and the system shall 'Flag' about your residential status! If you manage to buy a car and you are stopped by Police for whatever reason, they can find out that you are not a legitimate migrant, namely not a 'Bona-Fide' visitor and you could easily be arrested for detention and deported. In this case, you wouldn't be granted for another Visa for at least 7 years I guess (Used to be 5 years, but you better check on their website what the current rules are).If you really wish to come and settle in Australia, I suggest you apply for as a 'migrant'. The co-ordinations between the Government Organisations are of the highest level and it is not worth the risk. Also note that the IT Technology is highly efficient in Australia!

Travel cost Pakistan to China by road?

Where would you start in Pakistan. Lets say you are arriving in Islamabad and starting from here, then NATCO busses run in the afternoon from Rawalpindi main bus stand for Gilgit and arrive next day afternoon in Gilgit, I did the route last year, the prices follow:

from Rawalpindi to Gilgit PKR 2600 (24-30 hours)
Gilgit to Ali Abad by mini van PKR 200 (4-5 hours)
Ali-a-bad to Ata-a-bad lake by 4x4 Jeep PKR 150 (1 hour)
Ata-a-bad lake by boat PKR 150 (3 hours depending on weather)
Ata-a-bad lake to Sost by shared cars or mini vans if there are enough passengers (around 450 by car or 250 by van) it would take around 3.5 hours to reach at the Sost border.
From Sost you would have to book in the either Pakistani or Chinese bus. NATCO PKR 2200 from PAkistani side of Sost border to Taxugran and Chinese bus PKR 2600, Chinese bus is far better then Pakistani coaster van. The whole trip if you go non stop from Pindi to Chinese border would be around 3 days, and the road is backbreaking .. you would need to make a stopover for a night in Gilgit and Sost to refresh yourself..

If you want to have an idea from Karachi to China, then let me know seraiki@gmail.com and i can give you a rough idea :)

Do I need a transit visa in Singapore when I am traveling from India to Bali with different airlines?

I think the other replies missed out ‘different airlines’ The key question is whether you are required to pass through Singapore Immigration when you transit between the airlines. For example, if your 2 flights are on different terminals (one in budget, and one in another) or if the 2 airlines do not have the necessary transfer facilities, then you won't be able to do an airside transfer. In that case, you will have to pass through Singapore immigration, and a visa is definitely required even if you don’t leave the airport. Its safer to call up your first airline and check with them about airside transfer.Singapore does have a visa-free transit facility for Indians, but that is dependent on certain conditions:You must have a valid onward air ticket departing within 96 hours; and2. You must have a valid visa/long-term pass (with a validity of at least 1 month from the date of entry into Singapore under the VFTF) issued by any of the following countries:AustraliaCanadaGermanyJapanNew ZealandSwitzerlandUnited KingdomUnited States of America
