We Have Taken In Our Neighbors Dogs For About Two Months. I Went Over And Found Them Tied Up To The

Two of neighbors dogs attacked my Yorkshire Terrier, killing it.?

I was doing my homework when I went to get my dog from outside in MY yard, on a LEASH, connected to POLE. When I found him laying in the grass, in 50 degree weather, barely conscious. I know that the neighbors dogs did this because this is not the first time they had an encounter. We had to put him to sleep the next day because he was PARALYZED, had a broken jaw, broken arm, NECK SEPERATED FROM HIS BODY, the only thing he could do is move his eyes and BREATHE. This is ridiculous and it makes me furious at the thought of it. What can I do? I loved my dog and my whole family is hurting behind this.

Im either going to:

1: Catch the dog(s) in my yard again and beat the h*ll out of them

2: Sue the owner

3: Call animal control next time I see them in my yard.

Its really sad people.. A harmless dog attacked and not even killed but left hanging by a string of life. I want to take action. I have no proof that it was there dog but they are the only dogs in the neighborhood tht big

Neighbors dog scratched my son. Should I call the police?

1. animal control not the police
2. They aren't going to do much over scratches other than cite the owner for their dogs being at large
3. What was your four year old doing outside unsupervised in the first place?
4. BUILD A REAL FENCE.
5. Present your neighbor with bills for the damaged property.

ETA: No one said you had to fence off the entire property and that's why you get sturdy and secure fencing with a reinforced ground line. There is plenty of fencing options out there capable of containing your boxers AND keeping your neighbor's dogs OFF YOUR PROPERTY. And obviously unsupervised if your older child was not able to intervene or call your four year old away before anything even happened.

Is it okay to keep my dog tied when I have to leave the house?

It is very cruel to keep a dog chained for long periods of time, and very sad too. I would really recommend that you consider putting up the dog up for adoption, because your handling of it is seems so whimsical!Such a dog becomes a very disturbed creature and even more clingy when the owner comes home.I remember my labrador, even though she was with three other dogs, biting off 13 pairs of my shoes! I could not but condone it, and even when she grew up and we lived in a much bigger space she would bite off the heads of my Dahlias for some reason- I never quite understood why she went for those plants in particular. But then I could not but leave her in the space with the other dogs, where they could all enjoy the sun- instead of keeping them where they would get some sun, while I would be away. There are some dogs who are prone to separation anxiety and some are plain naughty. At seven months your puppy may be teething and his biting behaviour may be more of that then anger/separation alone. Quarantining the animal in a little space where he can hide in a little corner is always more helpful. In the course of my life I have lived alone with four dogs and they all go and hide in their own corners or spots once i am out of the house- this has happened in all the homes we all lived together - both in Faridabad and in Goa -where we lived in a village and a city one year each.Dogs need inclusion not abandonment- especially family dogs. Please don’t leave it tied or in a balcony, or else kindly consider giving up the dog, for your own peace of mind and to save a beautiful dog/yourself from a lifetime of suffering.

Best way to retaliate against your Neighbors from Hell?

OMG, I have put up with these people for two years now. We each have one acre lots, but they are just the worse liars and pos people I have ever had the displeasure of knowing. Their dogs bark all the time, their dogs are loose all the time (YES I have called the police and humane society numerous times), their SIX homeschooled kids are home all the time YELLING and SCREAMING at the top of their lungs for hours, the radio is playing loud, the fumes from their diesel trucks which run for hours is chocking the life out of me and I CANT BREATHE, and I can go on and on and on. Please, I really need to get back at them. I have never done anything bad to anyone my whole life (on purpose) and don't even know where to begin. We can't sell because our business is also on this property and that's just not possible. I picked up 5 piles of their dogs poop this morning by my mailbox. PLEASE give me some good ideas to make these people want to move without getting me in trouble with the law.

Is there a law (in Minnesota) about leaving a dog tied up outside all the time?

I just moved into a new house 3 months ago and my neighbor has a springer spaniel. I have NEVER looked outside and not seen the dog tied up. I can't really tell how long the leash is but it always seems to be in the same place. The past week or 2 has been extremely cold here, like -30 windchill, and the dog is still always outside. Is there a law against this? Can I call the police?

Neighbor dog pooping in my yard, what can I do about it?

Cracked red pepper in the lawn. Not the kind you cook with but the bigger cracked red pepper at an ethnic grocer store.

Dogs and cats don't like it. You have to reapply each month.

As for the dogs, it sounds like they are neglected a bit. The nose is normal for some breeds. But the matted hair and running loose is a big issure. I'd tell you to call the Human Society but I don't want the poor dogs to get put down or for you/owner to get into an issue in yoru new neighborhood.

If the red pepper doesn't work, you'll have to use a water gun. It usually discourages them but I'd hate to frighten them.

Or bag up the poo and put it back on your neighbor's door stop with a plastic bag tied up with a bow....and a note that says "Your dog dropped this in my yard so I'm returning it. Have a Good Day".

Anonymous note in mailbox about my dog barking "24/7". Why cant they just talk to me?

If I knew who was concerned I would explain that my dog was carried off by a coyote a week ago and my lab saved him by chasing down the coyote until the coyote dropped my smaller dog. I took him to vet and he will be fine - but is extremely skiddish right now - barks at every small movement. We live on 5 acres at top of hill. I continue to take him outside and have been working with him using a "spray collar" to deter barking but have to allow him to bark some to get over his fear of the yard. No way he barks 24/7 as he sleeps in my bedroom at night. I only allow him outside after 9am until around 10pm. He is never tied up and just left outside and is taken care of very well. I am so frustrated - wish I could explain to the neighbor that is concerend but whomever it is just doesnt have the courtesy to speak directly to me. I work from home so dogs are never left outside alone or when we are not home. Why can neighbors not address concerns directly with you?
