We Need This Peitition For The Unemployed Families. Help

Unemployed, no income and I have to pay child support... Help?

I am 18 years old. Yes, I am the mother of my child and yes, I do not have him. Please, do not "scream" at me for that. That is not what I am here for. I am here for advise and help. I would love your advise, very much so! Anywho, I had a gorgeous son when I was only 15 years old. His father and I were together for 3 years, then we went our seperate ways due to physical fights. I have no mom or actual dad of my own. I feel bad for not being there for my son, believe me. I can barely stand to look at his amazing face, it hurts! I love him more then ever, honest. Okay, I should probably get to the point before I end up writing a novel. I have no income and I am unemployed. I go to school full time, trying to get my G.E.D. and then I want to get into Criminal Justice... I am trying to get back onto my feet. I owe $1,099 to DSHS (child support). I am stressed out because I am worried that I will go to jail or something. I am trying my best to pay this all off! I have to pay or am supposed to pay $155 a month, but I can't! I pretty much "find" money, meaning ask around or I sell my stuff. I am almost down to nothing and I live off food stamps. I just need some friendly advise because I am so scared. I am trying so hard. I know I messed up, but I can't look back now. I know you may not understand all of what I am saying, but just know that I do care about my son dearly... Thanks.

Ps. Yes, I have talked to the DSHS place about all this, but they don't seem to help much. I can barely even take care of myself because every penny that I get, I send to them. I am looking for a job everyday, but it is hard around this time of year... I wont give up though. I am not one to give up, ever!

Can unemployed US citizen file for spouse visa?

Of course you can but you may have trouble fulfilling the requirement to support your spouse such that the he/she doesn’t become a “public charge.” This is a pretty good guide (What Sponsors Should Know Before Signing Form I-864 Affidavit of Support | Nolo.com) that I’ll quote from:The Form I-864 Affidavit of Support is a legally enforceable contract, meaning that either the government or the sponsored immigrant can take the sponsor to court if the sponsor fails to provide adequate support to the immigrant. In fact, the law places more obligations on the sponsor than on the immigrant -- the immigrant could decide to quit a job and sue the sponsor for support. When the government sues the sponsor, it can collect enough money to reimburse any public agencies that have given public benefits to the immigrant. When the immigrant sues, he or she can collect enough money to bring his or her income up to 125% of the amount listed in the U.S. government’s Poverty Guidelines (as shown in the chart in Form I-864P).The sponsor’s responsibility lasts until the immigrant becomes a U.S. citizen, has earned 40 work quarters credited toward Social Security (a work quarter is about three months, so this means about ten years of work), dies, or permanently leaves the United States. If the immigrant has already been living in the U.S. and earned work credits before applying for the green card, those count toward the 40.

Can I join Freemasons while unemployed? I don't have money to pay the required fees but I’m still looking for a job.

First answer is yes. I joined the Masons, when I was in college, and I did not have a full-time job. Different lodges, in different states have different rules. We are not a rich man’s club. Men of modest means, make fine Masons.-But, in my lodge, you have to state truthfully, that paying the required fees will not present a hardship to yourself or your dependents. We do not wish you to use your family’s grocery money to pay lodge dues. You should find a lodge, and explain the situation to them. Some (not all) lodges have an employment office, to help anyone (NOT JUST MASONS) to find work. They may also help you locate work through the state employment agency. You should also check out the employment agency at the local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints (mormons) They also have an employment agency, that assists anyone (NOT JUST MORMONS) in locating work.see this linkApproaching A Lodge for Membership

How can one apply for a tourist visa if he is unemployed?

The tourist visa is for someone who wants to visit USA for tourism or visiting family/friends.If you are planning to be just a tourist in US, then you should be able to demonstrate your ability to pay for your expenses while in US. For example, you can show the Hotel reservations, flight bookings etc. You may also need to show that you have enough funds in you bank account to cover all the expenses while in US.If you are planning to visit family, then you would need a letter from the person you are meeting in US. The letter should invite you to their home and also mention that they are going to take the full financial responsibility of your living expenses when you are in USA.This was the financial responsibility part. Now, you should also be able to show the visa officer that you have sufficient ties with you country of residence and you intend to comeback after the visa is expired. They dont want you to come in the USA and then never return. Hence, you may show documents related to property that may have in the country of residence or anything that can prove that your intention of travel to US is just of the said purpose and you have not interest in living in US permanently. This is where having a job helps.

I wanna adopt my brother... im 19 and im in the military..how do i do this?

Yes and no. Yes, because it is possible. No, because you have to prove that your parents are unable to provide for your brother and they have to relinquish their parental rights (action by a judge) and then you will have to become his legal guardian.

Most judges will not do this if your parents are able (in the courts eyes) to provide for him. If you are serious, you need to provide support for your brother for a period of a year or more (keep receipts) then get a family law attorney (skilled in sibling adoption) petition the court for custody of your brother. If the judge rules in your favor then fill out this form (or one similar)

http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/infom... and turn in into your personnel office.

I adopted my mother after she got sick. I was overseas and had to extended my tour and get my orders modified. I paid her bills for a year and 8 months for the matter to get resolved and get her added has my dependent.

Might I suggest to use your local HHS office and get rental assistance or unemployment, food stamps for your family. If you want to help you can work a second job (hours will be limited and cannot interfere with your military duties). I work as a waitress at a club off-base when I was supporting my mother.

Good Luck.

Petition for Dependency for my Niece --HELP!?

You are really, really going to have to work with a lawyer on this one. It's going to take a long time to get this thing done correctly. If you think that hiring a lawyer is too expensive, well, generally NOT hiring a lawyer at first is even more expensive...because you have to hire one to clean up the mess.

How do you file a petition to modify child support order?

Situation: My husband and I currently live in Georgia, he lost his job 5 months ago and we will be moving to live with his brother in South Carolina in about a month where he will be working for much less money. His 4 year old daughter lives in New York with her mother and her husband. They made a verbal agreement where she agreed to let him stop payments until he got another job, now she is going back on that and demanding all back payments immedately, threatening to file papers and have him arrested. He is very much willing to pay what he owes and contuing to pay.
Questions: How to file for a modification of child support, does he need a lawyer to do it? If so, what might be the approximate fees? Will it take effect from when he lost his job or when he files? How long does the process take? Will he have to file again when we move to South Carolina?

Thank You!

I lost my job and wife refuses to help me pay child support :( ?

i just got married 5 months ago and one month later i got laid off. it was not my fault just typical corporate lay-offs and with this economy it has been extrememly difficult to find work. so here i am still unemployed and i now owe a ton of back child support. it used to be taken out of my paycheck. $900 every month. so the first month i told my wife i needed her to write a check (we still have separate bank accounts) she was mad but she did it. next time she refused. and i keep asking her because i just found out my driver's license has been suspended. and she flips out and is acting insane. she is not the woman i married. she has become an evil greedy demon and she is pissed at my lack of money. it seems she only loved me when i got the paycheck and is not willing to be with me "for better or worse"

im a good man and i know i need to pay child support but she keeps demanding that she comes first. she is insane and plus the courts say the child comes first and she says its not her problem but i keep reminding her it is b/c she is now my wife...and she knew about this for the last 2 years we dated BEFORE we got married.

what can i do? i moved out 3 months ago b/c she is insane and she says she is going to sue me for the rent on the lease..but i'm afraid to even go near her b/c idk what she will do to me. she has bad temper. so do i just wait for her to default on rent and get evicted and worry about getting sued later so i can afford to pay my rent? do i become homeless? AHHHHHH HELP ME WHAT DO I DOOOO?

what is the cheapest easiest way for me to just get a FAST divorce? help any advice is welcome. thanks.

Child Support adjustment through Fam Law Facilitator or Department of Child Support Services?

I recently became unemployed and need to apply for an adjustment for child support. I live in San Diego (El Cajon) and the court website says these are either done through the family court facilitator (and a family court judge) or the Department of Child support services but it doesn't really indicate what circumstances determine where you go.

We very recently went to court for an adjustment in our custody aggreenment.

Should I be going to the Department of Child Support Services or should I be going to the family law facilitator? What are the circumstances that determine which you go to?

How long does it take to get Public assistance?

Usually Public Assistance takes about 30-90 days to kick in depending on paperwork glitches and how good your worker is.

Have your applied for "Unemployment?" Go to the Unemployment Office, you may qualify.

Apply for subsidized housing, there are waiting lists but since yours is an emergency situation you may be bumped to the top.

You should qualify for food stamps and medical coverage for you and all of your children.

Go to a Food Bank.

If you have children under 5 yrs old apply for WIC.

Is Dad paying Child Support? If not go to the Child Support Enforcement Agency office and open a case with them.

Ask for help from local churches and charities. Keep asking, someone will help you.

As for a custody battle, the judge may ask, "has the father been financially and emotionally supporting his children?" Where is dad and why is all of the burden placed on you? You will be fine if you can show that you are doing everything you can to take care of and support your children.

Good Luck!
