Wear A Headband Without Bump In The Back

How to wear a headband properly?

Whenever i try wearing one of those strechy headbands [ones used for workouts and etc] my hair gets clumped up in the back and makes my hair look and feel bumpy back there...sticking out like a sore thumb. I think it may have to do with the fact that my head might not be the best shape for headband use...but iono. is there any way to prevent that? I tried twisting the band, making it small, but every time there was that bump again. any advice besides "don't wear a headband" as i like them and have own a ton? please and thank you!

Each time I wear a headband for a few hours, a bump forms on my scalp in the same exact spot..?

I have the same problem. For work I have to wear a headgear that fits snugly against my forehead. During work I sweat a lot. I get little bumbs in the same spots around my head. They also are quite painful and sensitive and in fact, are red.

There are a few implied facts here.

1. Sweat makes them come and go. The more you sweat, the more they come.

2. I have exema. It is a skin condition that causes bumps like that on my skin. Exessive sweat and dairy are the only two things I have associated with them.

They weren't ingrown hairs. They weren't zits, and they sure can bleed. They've never been anything but an inconvenience to me. They're not a danger to me and they go away when I go extended periods of time without wearing that headgear.

Talk to a dermatologist. They can answer any questions about it much more thoroughly.

Proper way to put on a plastic headband?

when i do mine, i bush my hair back like i am putting it in a pony tail. and the i take the head band and starting at my hair line i slid it back so that all the hair in front of it lays flat. at the same time you want the ends to start at the top of your ears and as you slid in back to have the ends slide in behind your ears. think like sun glasses where they would start and how you would push them up to sit on top on your head without actually taking them off
- if you have short hairs in the front that stick up after you do it the other way you can instead. brush the shorter hairs forward and everything else back and slide the headband in the middle again so that the ends sits behind your ears. can be done for longer hair and then pushed to the side for a different look.

Two bumps behind ear ?

I was wearing a headband yesterday, and then I started to feel a little pain or soreness behind my left ear. I felt it and it was a bump...I thought it was caused by the headband being too small so I didn't care about it. Then today, it was still there - along with a smaller bump like an inch under the first one ... when I touch them it's kind of sore, but otherwise it's okay.

What could this be?? I'm currently on medication for yeast infection prescribed by the doctor a week ago, and tomorrow is my last day for medicine. :l

Why do I get headaches from headbands?

I normally wear my hair short but I am growing it out and I am putting my hair back with loose Jersey headbands.

This gives me such pains in my head that it is unreal...My scalp hurts when I move my hair. All the way down to my neck

Does anyone know why this is happening? Help! I want long hair but I can never tie it up!

Does anyone wear "ninja" style headbands?

haha I do that when I'm doing chores around the house and feeling anime/ninja like :)

I just use a bandana and fold it flat to the desired thickness then wrap it around my head. Keeps my hair out of my face :P

Why does wearing a hat give me a headache? It's loose and not tight. It's like a headache in my sinus on my forehead.

It sounds like you need you see a doctor. I'm not a doctor but rather an overworked legal professional who spends a vast amount of time analyzing medical evidence and fighting my own allergies. The most common reason that I see in my area for swollen sinuses and tenderness in the forehead area is severe nasal allergies and/or cold leading to a sinus infection. If you feel pain from the relatively minimal pressure of a hat resting against your forehead, it's definitely time to see a doctor as they may need to prescribe steroids or antibiotics as well as a prescription decongestant and/or allergy medication. If you have no other symptoms of cold or allergies, including stuffed head, sneezing, itchy eyes, waxy or blocked ears or eyes, then you really need to get to a doctor!I don't want to frighten you, but I have a friend whose younger brother had something more serious than cold or sinus infection causing his very tender forehead. It was a big tumor that was discovered inadvertently after a ball struck his head. He was able to have a successful surgery and recovery. He is the one in a million odd case, but regardless of the cause for your symptoms you sound like you are past the home remedy point.

What does Harbhajan Singh wear on his head?

Like most sikhs, he has long hair which are tied on top of the head in a knot. Turban is worn by sikhs to protect the hair, head, as a mark of respect in society and as a symbol of commitment to the higher eternal truth of life and its relation to God. Turban was part of indian culture much before sikhism, however sikh guru in the 15th/16th centuries chose it as a part of the uniform of sikhs..- students. Harjbhajan like many sikhs carry on with their professions keeping in mind the teachings of the gurus and wear turban to symbolize that.
