Wearing A Spaghetti Strap Dress

Hair up or hair down with a spaghetti strap-dress?

I would definitely put it up. (Unless you have a neck like a turtle--just trying to be funny!) As an artist, I think the "flow" from shoulders to neck would be lovely. The nape of a woman's neck is also (to most men) very sexy. You could leave a couple of loose little tendrils so it wouldn't look too "severe." Long, slender earrings, too. Very elegant & graceful.

What hair to wear with a spaghetti strap dress?

As it's a formal event your hair would look great up. It doesn't have to be too ornate, a simple french roll at the back can look stunning with a few diamante hair pins in. Or if you prefer, wear it curled and pinned up on top, with maybe a few stray curls about your face. This would really complement the dress as well as show off your neck and shoulders, then just finish the look with the right necklace and earings.

Do I need to wear a bra with a spaghetti strap dress?

I bought a really cute dress but it has really thin straps and I don't want to have my bra straps showing. The top of the dress is lined so can I just wear it without a bra or should I buy a strapless bra? (Note: I'm small chested - 32A) If you think I should go with a strapless bra could you recommend something for small chests so I'm not wearing it around my ribs after an hour? =)

Thanks for your help!

How can I reinforce spaghetti straps on a dress?

If your straps are nothing special (no decoration on them or any other addition to the dress, and not a part of a cut) - I suggest you replace them with stonger ones. You can buy them in haberdashery. Better get some strap bucle with them so that you can adjust the straps for whatever bra you are wearing, or if they go loose. http://www.sewessential.co.uk/Category.a...

If that seems too complicated - just buy a transparent elastic straps and attach them underneath existing straps. If they don't sell them on the rolls by measurements in your shop - you can use elastic bra straps instead: http://www.sewessential.co.uk/Category.a...

Carefully attach it to the beginning, end and middle of the existing strap so that stitches don't tear the strap.

How do you wear spaghetti strap tank tops??

You know, I give you LOTS of credit for this question, haha. It is an excellent one, and though I've had my share of experience w/ bras and tank tops, etc, I'm not ENTIRELY sure of the answer to this. If you have a smaller chest, I would suggest (depending on how small) going braless, and if it hurts your nipples, put bandaids on them. Otherwise, I think it's acceptable to have the bra straps showing, as it's something us poor women can't really help, haha :( I think a bra is fine.

Mom Won't let 13 year old girl wear spaghetti strap dresses or tank tops?

My mom won't let me wear spaghetti strap dresses to formal dances, or tank tops to school. A lot of other girls at my school do. And for my 8th grade graduation i really want to wear at spaghetti strap dress. Last years graduates even had strapless dresses and they were 13. Plus she hates when i wear tank tops that are 1 in thick. But I Do Respect Her Decision. She says it is to Inappropriate and is to revealing of my shoulders. Do you think its to inappropriate?

Spaghetti Straps in Church?

i think with a shrug or cardigan it would be fine for church, but without it i'm not sure because it all depends on what the dress looks like and what kind of church you go to and if they are more formal or relaxed.
in any case i would wear a shrug or cardigan over it though.
good luck!
