Anyone that has access to the information should be able to make changes in the code if they know what they are doing. Many people lead you to believe the are the only ones the can make changes to the code, where in fact anyone that understands the code can make changes to it as long as the have access to it. If you are planning on having someone else make changes to the code, you will want to make sure they can do it first. Then you will need to change your password and ftp information so the present designer does not have access to the server.
