Week 5 Of Working Out And Havent Seen Weight Loss

I've been working out, but I haven't been losing weight?

For the last five weeks, I've been jogging and changing my lifestyle, but for some reason, I haven't been losing weight.

I used to eat a TON of oily and fatty stuff, but I've limited myself to three meals a day, each meal fitting a medium-sized container (enough to fit a cup of cooked rice and a few greens along with a few pieces of meat). I've set aside a specific time each day for lunch and dinner, and I usually follow the pattern. Usually in the morning, I'd eat either eggs or oatmeal. I began to eat fresh fruits and vegetables every day. In the past, my usually daily intake included almost no fruits or vegetables. Now, my daily caloric intake is down to around 1500 calories, a significant difference, but my weight is still the same.

I also began to sleep properly and exercise. It's the summer, so I'm not as busy as I would be the other months, since I have school. Before, I'd have weird sleeping patterns and pull many all-nighters, then drink some heavily-sugared coffee before rushing out the door for school. Now, I have a regular sleep schedule of around 7-8 hours a day. I also wake up early to jog between 1~3 miles a day. The past week, I even visited the gym every day for the past week, doing an hour of cardio, then on the machines that help tone different areas on the body for the next hour. I spend the last half-hour swimming.

My waist looks a little smaller than before. I measured, and I've lost around an inch or so, only. I step on my scale every day, hoping that my weight will somehow be lighter. Every morning's a disappointment. I haven't lost a single pound this summer.

And I haven't been losing weight, and all my body parts still feel fat.

I'm not one of those super skinny people who wonder why they can't lose anymore weight when they work themselves to death. I weigh 145, and I'm 5'4.5". I have a lot of excess flab on my stomach and thighs, and the last time I measured (last October) I had a pretty high percentage of fat in my body.

Anyone have any clue why and what I can do?

Thanks, ahead of time!

Will working out 3 days a week help me lose weight?

Exercise is a key facet of a healthy lifestyle and it helps you burn off calories. But it's what happens after the workout that can negate the results of all your sweaty labor.
Eat lower-calorie meals and you will see better results more quickly. To lose weight, aim for about 200 minutes per week of moderate-intensity exercise and be consistent with your eating

After a workout, your muscles require material to recuperate. Choose a light meal within two hours after working out, and make sure to have something balanced with protein, complex carbohydrates and healthy fats, too. Foods with potassium such as bananas, potatoes or raisins can help replace the potassium that is lost by sweating during a workout.

Exercise has a number of positive effects, especially for heart health, cognitive function and overall mental health. Exercise can help you lose weight. You must burn about 3,500 calories to lose a pound. If you burn 300 calories in one workout, it will take 12 total workouts to lose a pound.

Working out almost a month but no weight loss?

It takes 90 days to see results. Dont be impatient.

You may want to up your calories one day a week so you can trick your body. I usually add 500 calories and then the next week i lose 10 lbs.

I haven't lost any fat weight for 6 weeks, why?

I am not sure what your diet and exercise regiment is like so it would be hard to answer such a question. I can generalize and tell you of a few reasons why this can happen. First you need to know that we all hit plateaus during our diet or almost anything we do in life. So for example, if you are dieting at a caloric intake of 2000 calories a day and you are doing cardio for 30 minutes a day everyday and you have been able to lose weight and all of a sudden you can't lose any more weight, then you have to make some changes to your regiment. Here is where it's very important to have a very good record of what you are consuming everyday. If you have a track record of the amount of macronutrients (macros) which are your protein, carbs and fat then you can make small changes to your macros, for example, lowering your carbs so you can continue losing fat. Not everyone reacts well to a low carb diet, so play with your fats as well and see if a higher carbs lower fat intake is better for you. Once you have a good idea of how your body reacts to the changes in fat and carbs then it will be a lot easier to go down or up in weight. The other option you have is increasing your cardio. If you are doing cardio only 3 times a week, then add another day. If you are already doing cardio everyday of the week, then add some longer session on your cardio. I personally react well to low carb diet, but there is a point in my diet where I can't go any lower in my carbs or fat and I have to up my cardio so I can keep losing fat again.  Like I mentioned above I have no idea what you are doing right now to lose fat, but if you are not keeping track of your macros I suggest you do that, but if you are then make sure to change it to fit your current weight. A good way of making sure you are eating the right amount of calories a day is by multiplying your current weight by 9 and the answer to that should be the amount of calories you should be eating to maintain a low caloric intake which will help you keep losing weight. So for example if you are 200 lbs and multiple it by 9 you should be eating about 1800 calories a day. Hope this helps. Follow me on Instagram @anibalcabral

Why has it been 2 weeks and I haven't lost any weight even though I'm eating less and healthier?

You need to burn more calories than you’re bringing in - which means you need to do some exercise. Going for a walk around the block, or dancing to music, or doing various exercise video games (Wii Fit or the Just Dance series are good ones) will work fine - you don’t need a bunch of exercise equipment if you can’t afford it / can’t fit it into your place. You also need to keep your body from adjusting to the reduced amount of calories, which is what cheat days are designed to do. Build in one a week, it’ll also help you keep your resolve to stick to a healthier lifestyle. Also, some of the weight you’re carrying may be water weight, which fluctuates a lot more. The most important thing for weight loss is to not stress too much about it - at two weeks in, you’d see at *most* a loss of about 2 pounds. This is a slow process if you’re going to do it in a way that’ll keep the weight off.

Been working out two days, haven't lost weight. Normal?

I'm a little desperate to lose 15 pounds I've gained while on antidepressants. I've finally stopped gaining!
I know this is silly, but I am just feeling easily defeated.
I've worked out vigorously only two days and maybe 20 minutes and haven't lost any weight. I used to always see fluctuation on the scale of loss but never anymore!

Is this normal I've not seen a change on the scale yet? I watch what I eat, I'm 5'2" 120 pounds, I've ALWAYS been in the 108 range, I've got years of clothes that fit that weight that I can no longer wear. I eat around 1,800 calories a day.
When will I lose even 5 pounds??

I've been going to the gym but haven't lost any weight.?

people who join a gym start eating more usually, for two reasons. First,
they have bigger appetite because they move more and burn more
calories. So, they eat more without even noticing it, and it tastes
better, too, because many overweight people were not even hungry
before - they ate because they were bored, because they could and so
on. Now they are genuinely hungry, everything tastes better, they eat
more and gain weight after they exercised.
Second, they think that they are burning a lot of calories,
and can now eat this or treat themselves to that, yet they do not burn
as much as they think, and they eat what they usually won't eat
because of the high caloric content. This treat may have more
caloric content which they burned during their workout. Then they
have their regular meals, too, and at the end they've
worked out hard and have gained weight!
The third problem is that there
is a myth which says that when you join a gym and exercise for a week
or two, you gain muscle,
and it's heavier than the fat. It's not true. To gain even one pound
of muscles, one must work hard and for many weeks. You can't just
lift weights for a couple of weeks, and suddenly become all muscle.
You'll need to work much much harder than that, and for much much
longer. People can't cope with the fact that they worked out hard, and
gained weight, so they use this myth to justify themselves.
What can you do about it:
1. Start a food journal, and write down everything you eat, to track
down the calories.
2. Stop treating yourself. "I exercised hard, now I eat this tempting
little muffin" - to burn the calories from that little muffin you will
have to sprint run for an hour, and it's only to stay the same, not to
become thinner! This is too hard of a work, so drop processed high
caloric food from your diet.
3. Slow down with exercises until your body gets used to it. This way,
you will have smaller appetite and will be less hungry. By and by your
body will get used to your activity level, and then you can work out
more. Start slowly and work your way up to the intense workouts. When
you are ready to be more intense, your body will be smaller, your
stomach will shrink, and you won't tend to overeat.

I am working out 3 months ago, but haven't lost any significant weight. What should I do?

Ahaa!!Its some one like me asking this question. so here is the trick , what I did for loosing that weight, which was not going!1. Take a break now!   - Give your self 2 days - eat whatever you wish to and what ever you want , Pizza, street food, ice creams... Anything you want and in any quantity.2. Start a fresh here- Diet - - your eating habit is good, continue that. - shift turmeric milk in evening with orange or apple. - after dinner don't go to sleep. take break of 1 hour atleast before going to bed.- Take a cheat meal(preferably lunch -eat what ever you wish to) every 15 days - (Sundays)Workout: 60 min5 min warmup.treadmil - 10 min  1 min running at speed of 8-9KMph 1 min - walk at slow speed 5 KmphCycling - 10 min alternate it with 1 min high speed and 1 min comfortable speed.treadmil - 10 min  1 min running at speed of 8-9KMph 1 min - walk at slow speed 5 KmphDo other exercises as you do..see results after 15  days. if you see change in your weight loss. Then moderately increase your workout and change diet a little.

Why do I feel toned after working out for a week but have not lost weight?

HiThanks for the A2A. There are a number of reasons that this may be the case. You need to change your eating habits in order to lose weight. Exercise alone is not enough. Ensuring you have a healthy, balanced diet is key to weight lossYou may be doing the wrong type of workout. If you want to lose weight, then workouts which focus on muscle building alone won't cut it. You need to include cardio as well, for example running or cyclingYou may have in fact lost body fat but gained muscle mass. Muscle is heavier than fat so, although you may not see a change on the scales, you may in fact be cutting down your body fat while simulataneously gaining muscle which is definitely not a bad thing.I hope this helps!Kind regardsAmy AnaboliccoLike us on FacebookAnabolicco ~ Anabolism Unleashed | Facebook
