Weird Dreams During Recovery

Do you have dreams every night?

My dreams are really weird.

I had a dream a few days ago, and i was in a war with thousands of people fighting against huge monsters, and there were a few parts of the dream where we were losing and everyone was running away from them, we were being chased by wolf kinda looking monsters and one jumped me, but i ducked and it hit the guy behind me, but eventually we won the battle.

*sigh* don't ask questions but this is one of the weirdest dream i had. there were more to this dream but i dont want to say it all.

i have another one but ill save it for some other time.

I had a dream about having brain surgery done on me. What could this mean?

Your brain in your dream represents your sense of self. Having brain surgery suggests that you are going through some severe stress and are in need of emotional healing. You may actually feel that your your ideas and suggestions are not getting the recognition that they deserve. The wooden chip represents your desire to keep yourself from getting negative about the situation. This same idea is represented by the surgery being successful and you recovering (you are trying to keep a positive attitude).

How to recover repressed memories?

I've had repressed memories of sexual abuse for a while now. I don't remember any fragments or when it happened, but I've had so many signs of it it's not even funny. Self mutilation, emotional numb, age regression, low self esteem, uncontrollable anger, weird dreams, insomnia, nightmares, dissociation, early aged masochism, the list goes on... I know something happened when I was really young. I feel it.

Does anyone know how to recover repressed memories? Anyone who has been through the same thing I have who has experience with remembering and healing? Methods (including psychoanalysis) that have helped you recover the trauma that was mentally blocked? I really want helpful answers, I want to know what happened because it's depressing and confusing me day and night.

Did YOU Dream or remember anything during surgery while under anesthetics?

It depends on how far 'under' they put you. General anaesthesia turns your brain OFF. It's not a perfect switch, so the parts of your conscious brain go first. Too little, and you can have a dim awareness without being able to move and things like that. It's pretty commonly reported.

But basically, being under general is like being brain dead. That means you're really dead, really gone. That's it. I've been under twice, and it is like time traveling. You're out, and then the next instant you're awake and 5 hours are just GONE. That is being dead. No heaven, ho hell, just nothing. No lights or visions or dreams or angels. Just. Nothing. At. All.

The good news is, you don't know about it!

I have dreams that my father is very sick?

Okay here it is:

Parents: Dreaming about your own parents signifies the approach of problems whose solution requires of the paternal counsel.
In the event that the father already have deceased it can signify that the problems are serious and that should act with maximum precaution. A young girl who dreams of her father dad, who's still alive, can signify that her relationships-are not going to the good road and that her partner is not acting with seriousness and uprightness. It also says that dreaming of sickness when the person is not really sick it means that the approach of a sickness is coming it says that it could be severe or not severe at all, so that's it the rest is for general but this was specifically for dreams about parents so I guess you should keep your head up and be sure that you dad is okay, okay? good luck to you and hope your father to be healthy for many more years peace.

Dreaming about snakes and kittens during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant and have noticed my dreams revolving around snakes or kittens. A couple weeks ago I had been dreaming of snakes. There was a dream where there were snakes swimming trying to get onto the boat I was on. Another was about finding a giant snakes tail end in the jungle and I tried following the body to find the head which lead me to a warehouse. Recently, I have had many dreams of kittens. I keep finding these kittens at my dads house. I don't know if it has to do with always having kittens there when I was a child. The kittens are usually black, white, and yellow or yellow an white.

I have dreams about drinking, smoking, and using drugs, but I've never had any previous addictions or even any experience really. What does this mean?

Hey... addiction is a disease. It has nothing to do with the substances per se. Unless you have some other disorder that could kinda be like that - food, sex, something way over the average - you shouldn't worry so much. Those things being technically bad for you in any quantity is more... a matter of ethics or spiritual beliefs or something like that. Those things don't really have anything to do with being an addict, they're "lifestyle choices".Plenty of people can drink, smoke or use drugs on occasion, and they're just simply normal things to do. Culturally all of those things have a huge footprint, so naturally they would be in your dreams. It's doing them without moderation in actual life that's something to worry about.

Dreaming of self harm?

I had a dream that i was with a freind and she was cutting me because something had happened in the dream so i told her to use me to relive her stress. she was not a cutter she just wanted something to do to get her mind off the situation and i said that it would be "fun"

Then after she has done like two chicken scratch like cuts on me she stopped and had a go at me saying sorry and that she shouldnt have done that and it is not helping my recovery. But it triggered me and i told her to keep going but she wouldnt. this got me really frustrated and i wanted to cut. The only thing was though that i couldnt because she know that if she left me that i would cut and deep becuase i was in recovery.
Soo i was begging her to leave me alone so i could and she obviously wouldnt and i got more angry and when i get angry it just triggers it even more.
So after me screeming at her to try and get rid of her i said that if she didnt go, i would do it in front of her. she didnt think that i would she she said fine!! DO It and i did!! . And that is what actally i done!! I cut my wrist and she freaked out!! I was so calm and like it was erthoric moment. Then i woke from the dream.

Just wondering what this means?

I am trying to sort my self harm out in real life, i have seen my doctor and i havent cut since 3-4 weeks ago. but since haveing that dream it has kinda gave me that urg back and it has sort of triggered me.

What can i do and what dose my dream mean?? Thanks for anyones help!! Xx

Do people suffering from anorexia have insanely vivid dreams?

I have suffered from severe anorexia. I have always had vivid dream experiences, as a healthy child - I practically had a separate life at night, and I always remembered everything. However, when my eating disorder was at its worst, I could barely recall anything, and I rarely dreamed because I became an insomniac. When you are malnourished or underweight (or both), it becomes very difficult for your body to fall asleep and rest, therefore you are also unlikely to experience any dreams. When I did manage to fall asleep, I would have vivid dreams…. but nothing compared to when I was healthy. How “vividly” people dream is a result of their neurobiology and experiences in life, and if anything, anorexia is only going to dampen your dream perception because the disorder damages your brain.I can try to suggest a link between “vivid” dreaming and anorexia - people who suffer from this eating disorder are often highly sensitive individuals (they can actually process a greater range of sensory input than others as a consequence of their biology) who may have experienced much trauma - these things could cause a person to have relatively more intense dreams than less sensitive people who have lived in more stable and relaxed environments.
