Weird Esophagus/pit Of Stomach Feeling Caused By Food Poisoning

Why do my stomach hurt when I take a deep breath?

Very complicated to answer without more information. If it comes on with running and is off to one side or other other it may be a condition called side stitch. However, pain with breathing may also indicate that something is irritated on one side or the other of the diaphragm. On the top side of the diaphragm that is often one of the lungs, or more specifically the lining of the lung called the pleura. This can happen from scar tissue, infections, tumors and other things. It can also happen from the pericardium, the sac around the heart being inflamed. The esophagus could also do this.Things below the diaphragm that can cause this are numerous. On the right liver and gallbladder would be most common, but the right kidney, transverse and ascending colon, appendix and small bowel could do it.In the middle below the diaphragm the stomach, first parts of the small bowel, and pancreas would be common causes as well as the transverse colon. On the left side the spleen, transverse colon, descending colon, and sigmoid colon along with the left kidney and occasionally the aorta would be possible causes.Depending on the location these may give you some clue. But the internal organs are not hooked up to nerves as precisely as things like your hand or leg. Internal pains can be experienced in general areas rather than specific locations related to the organ. So any abdominal pain could be from all those abdominal causes I described or it could be from pain referred from the chest, the chest or abdominal wall or even be spine related pain if a nerve root was pinched.Seeing a medical professional for an evaluation would be a wise idea if this is either severe, recurrent, or ongoing. Best of luck,

Weird esophagus/pit of stomach feeling caused by food poisoning?

Me and my brother had sausages last night and I think we may have been posioned by them as now we both have this weird feeling in the stomach/chest. We feel like we had food stuck in our esophagus and feel a bit of pain in the pit of stomach area when breathing in deeply. I was wondering if anybody knows what is going on with us, and if it is related with our meal from last night.
Thanks a lot
PS: This feeling went on this morning

Can using crystal meth irritate your stomach?

Reference the other note from Dr. Chalpin.Since his response is what I would think initially, let me back off just a little bit and talk physiology. The major action of methamphetamine is that it is what is called a strong Alpha stimulator. What it does in the brain is make you feel like you are Superman. What it does in the rest the body is that it strongly constricts blood vessels. This reduces the flow of blood to the affected organs.I have seen methamphetamine cause gangrene when injected into arteries in peripheral tissues, and I've seen it lead to heart attacks and possibly the strokes in my own limited experience. I've read about other cases where this occurred. What you may be experiencing is loss of blood flow to your gut. Now, your intestines are filled with literally trillions of bacteria. That's right, your intestine contains more bacteria than the national debt of the United States.Let's say you have some loss of blood flow to a piece of your intestine. That piece of your intestine then will die, since you have to have blood flow to your organs to keep them alive. When that happens, things occurred in the cells called apoptosis and necrolysis. That is to say, the cells die and dissolve. With that, you end up with a hole in the gut. The material in the gut, which includes digestive enzymes and all those bacteria, leaks out into the peritoneal cavity. The result is that you die a slow and horrible death.I didn't just make this up, I've seen people die from rupture of intestines because of loss of blood supply, although is not necessarily from cocaine or methamphetamine,Maybe what you want to do is go to some treatment and look at getting sober.

Why does the back of my throat and tongue feel prickly after eating a mango and pineapple?

Pineapple is know scientically as Ananas comosus. It belongs to family bromeliaceae. It contain chemical called as bromelin. This is proteolytic enzyme, which cause this etching. Bromelin is excellent anti inflammatory drug prescribed in soft tissue inflammation and swelling. Pineapple being proteolytic have different uses.On the other hand mango is Mangifera indica, belonging to family Anacardiaceae. Mango is indigenous to India and considered as king of fruit. But shockingly, anacardiaceae family is very toxic. Raw mango contain toxic compound like urshiol. Thsese are cytotoxic, poison which cause contact dermatitis. Other member of anacardiaceae family like poison ivy, cashew, semicarpus (locally called Bibba), pista are also highly poisonous to some people. As mango ripens, these chemicals decreases.Plants produce these toxins as metabolic waste or to protect from grazing animals which may cause eatching. In plant kingdom, there are several plants like these two.

What would be the effect of ingesting 100% alcohol? I mean effects to the human body starting from time of absorption.

O.K..... You really want to know?Orally:  You down two ounces of 200 proof ethanol.  The alcohol strips the mucous lining from your esophagus and some of it absorbs into your blood directly.  You feel... pain!  You feel like you have just downed liquid fire!  You cough and your eyes water.  A lot.  A few minutes later, you feel.... O.K..., but resolve to use orange juice the next time you want to try that experiment!  About 20 minutes later you start to feel the effects of the alcohol because that is how long it takes to be absorbed.  Two ounces of 200 proof is the equivalent of four ounces of 100 proof vodka.  Your liver can remove about half an ounce per hour, so you will be sober in about 3 and a half more hours.Injection:  Well, now!  That is a good way to kill yourself.  You see, in the above example, your stomach acted as a buffer, slowly metering the alcohol into your system.  Injection (by the way, this technique is actually used to kill off nerve cells) bypasses the stomach and you are directly and immediately (within minutes) intoxicated.  If you had actually injected three ounces you would have momentarily exceeded the lethal dose for alcohol, but some of it would absorb into your fat before it killed you (probably--I am not a physician or toxicologist, and I do not know how much you weigh, so don't bet your life on this answer).  You would feel a significant burning sensation at the spot of injection.  Consider that an understatement.  Fortunately, in a few minutes you will be too drunk to remember the pain.Have I mentioned that either of these approaches falls in the category of a BAD IDEA?  As in "Hey watch this!"

What happens when you swallow fruit seeds?

hiiii,There are many stories about what can happen after swallowing the seeds from various fruits – but most of them are either untrue or inaccurate. For one thing, seeds cannot possibly germinate in our stomachs (although we remember being very worried about that possibility as children!). If you’re in any doubt, read this light hearted article that explores the science behind why this simply cannot happen! In fact, seeds are popular snacks in some parts of the world, usually roasted and seasoned before eating. So toxicity is not a problem – but are there any concerns about appendicitis? Many of us are taught that swallowing fruit seeds can lead to appendicitis, but is this really true? Well, it’s a possibility, but it is actually believed to be quite unusual for the consumption of a seed to cause appendicitis.  Other potential problems seeds can cause are an intestinal blockage/obstruction (although this would usually take more than a single seed), or an injury like an intestinal tear or perforation. These – though unlikely – may be caused if the seed has sharp edges. The symptoms may include vomiting, nausea, fever and severe abdominal pain and would require immediate medical treatment (see Gastrointestinal Perforation).Hope this answers ur question!!!!
