Weird Feeling In Head After Falling On Crash Pad

Can we fall asleep and dream within a dream?

It is possible to have a dream within a dream, but I don't think there is anything particularly spectacular about it (as Inception sometimes makes it seem).I've had one or two dreams in particular where I woke up and was in a dream, as James Peters described. The difference was that I was dreaming, and woke up in another dream, then woke up in "real life".It is a fact, at least to me, that remembering dreams within a dream is much harder because once you wake up in a dream, you are focused on that moment and tend to forget what just happened. But here's how I can tell you that it is possible:The moment I woke up, I thought "What a crazy dream" -- at that moment I recalled the dream. As I went about my day, some things that were a little odd started happening. It was a regular environment around the location outside my workplace, but the people that were showing up were not behaving normally. There was then a trigger where I realized that I was still dreaming. Instead of waking up I transitioned to lucid dreaming, and later I woke up. At that point I was *actually*  awake and realized I had just had a dream within a dream. Now I don't know what you mean by dreaming in parallel ... The explanation I would propose for a dream within a dream is that it is actually a dream, followed by a "dream awakening" that leads to another storyline within the same dream. I have no reason to say it's a second "layer" of a dream. Finally, I've never fallen asleep within a dream. I have enough of a hard time falling asleep when I'm not dreaming.

Numbness and tingling in leg after a head injury?

4 days ago I slipped and hit my head (my left temple) REALLY badly at the door frame. I "think" I heard like a crack sound in my ear and I also "think" that I felt my brain shakes inside my head.

I did not get unconscious or dizzy or nausea or vomiting...etc. Nothing actually went wrong at all, NOT even a headache, except for continuos pain in my temple and my left face side in general (left jaw and teeth), I also have a bruised part in my temple, but when I touch it it feels like a hard part that makes me wonder if its actually a fracture?

I didn't go to emergency as I didn't want to be dismissed with a "keep an eye" on more symptoms and/or run tests and X-rays then everything turn normal - specially that I have no health insurance.

Anyway, I kept an eye on my self for any changes during the last days. Nothing was really concerning; on and off bearable headaches, continuous ringing noise in my left ear (which I think due that I hit my left ear too as I fell), BUT this morning (4 days after the fall) I woke up with this numbness and sensation in my left leg (from the knee to the toes), this sensation is continuous for the whole day didn't stop however gets better at times and worse at times. Mind you it's not affecting my walk, I can also move an flex my toes and leg perfectly... Only just this numbness and tingling feeling.

Anyway, NOW I booked an appointment with a neurologist but that's after a week from now! My question is: should I feel really concerned now and head to the emergency and not wait for my appointment after a week? Or could this be not related or just a passing by symptom?

I still do not feel any headaches at all (except on and off bearable and very brief headaches), not vomiting, and not feeling nausea...etc only just the leg sensation that gets me now!

Thanks

Do you wear a helmet skateboarding?

I'm 14 I'm pretty good at skateboarding I've skated for 5 years or more without breaking anything or getting any head injuries. I'm thinking about wearing a helmet when I skate but I don't want to because NOBODY my age wears one at the parks and anywhere I live unless they are beginners. On top of that most a lot of other people that skate are assholes and make fun of other people for stupid reasons. Do you wear a helmet when you skate?

Should I go to the ER? PLEASE HELP! in so much pain!?

well im 14 weeks pregnant and have been having migraines every day for the past week. They get so bad I cant even lay down. and last night I went to sleep at 730pm and didnt wake up til 8 am this morning and then got a headache so i slept from 830-1 and was ok just had a small headache all day and then I just got a really bad one tonight at 8pm and have had it ever since! now its 11:40pm.

Ive take tylenol and it did nothing. after i took it i just laid down in my room trying to sleep for an hour and my headache just got worse. i started throwing up from it not too long ago only twice but now im laying on the couch with a heating pad on my head and nothings working. I just want to cry because it hurts so bad! I dont have high blood pressure I just got that checked this week. so it could just be hormones but its making me so sick and stressed and im in so much pain!

My husband works at 6am tomorrow so im so hesitant about waking him up to take me but i feel like theres nothing I can do and im in so much pain. and he also thinks its a minor thing and doesnt understand the pain im going through when I try to tell him. He just says its just a headache or its just because youre pregnant but that doesnt mean anything, it still hurts! should I go to the ER? will they prescribe me pain meds for it?? I really need advice here!

Does cracking one's neck and spine cause any damage?

There's two answers to your question, it all depends on how you are cracking the joint. In my field the use joint calvitation instead of cracking but Ill use cracking to keep it simple. The noise heard happens because you break the joint seal, sometimes gas pockets form within the joint and by popping this joint seal the gas escapes. The effect is similar to putting a finger in your mouth on the inside of your cheek, covering it with your lips and then flicking it out of your mouth as the seal created by your finger is broken. Now what do I mean by 2 answers? 1) If you're cracking it within its normal range, you're probably ok. An example for the neck would be nodding your head or turning it from side to side as if sayinga non-verbal no. This is because this is what your bones were made to do. All the surfaces are lined up so that they'll back into place with no issue. 2) Any combination where you're going to extremes of a mix of these motions and you may be setting yourself up for trouble. Not because of the cracking noise itself but because you may carry those joints to a point in which the bony surfaces get to a point where they don't align and when you try to come back the bones get stuck out of place. This is especially true if the ligaments have been loosened by doing something which repetitively challenges them. This situation is similar to how a drawer can get stuck after you pull it out at an angle. An example of what not to do would be looking up at the ceiling and then cracking it by turning your neck to the side. I probably would not recommend this.I used to crack my fingers a lot in high school but eventual worked my way out of the habit even though it's not inherently bad for you. The neck and spine also do contain a spinal cord, and in the case of the neck, the vertebrae have 2 of the 4 arteries supplying your brain that basically run through them so I would be a bit more careful cracking things in this area if I were to give you any advice.
