Were Can A 14 Or 15 Yr Old In Baltimore Md Work

I live in York Pa and I'm going to take my children (14yrs, 9yrs) to DC.?

I'll try to help but your note isn't fully clear to me.

Which Penn Station will you be starting from? The one in Baltimore, perhaps? And parking in the garage beneath Baltimore Penn Station? That station is indeed serviced by both MARC and Amtrak. Be aware, though, that MARC doesn't operate on weekends.

Amtrak cars are designed for longer-distance travel and are a bit more comfortable than MARC cars, which are designed for commuter service. Still, for the short length of ride the difference shouldn't be significant.

The major difference between the two services is speed (Amtrak is faster) and cost (MARC is cheaper).

Can a 13 year girl work at burger king ?

I am sorry but no, you need to be at least 14, try it, however, the employer MIGHT say yes.

Is there any way to get a hotel room under 18 (17 years old) in the US?

Every hotel may have in its own hotel policy a minimum age requirement, be it 18 or 21. However, there has been a trend with at least one lawyer having a 14 year old call the hotel; the 14 year old had his own credit card and state ID. With the hotels that refused to rent a room to him, the lawyer then took over and sued the hotel for age discrimination.Legally speaking, if someone was able to present all of the requirements that any other guest is required to present (we require only a government issued ID and a credit card), then if a hotel were to refuse, it could find itself under scrutiny.I do know that some states, such as Texas, that does have statutes on its books that allows each hotel to set a minimum age (even 25, if they’d like). Under this statute, it continues on to state that guests under 18 will have their parents held liable for any damages caused by a negligent child/Yes, I do know that minors cannot legally enter into contract; we are caught between the proverbial rock and a hard place on this one.I will give you the following reference to substantiate my assertions in this presentation: Jonathan Asselin-Normand .

How to become a model for sears catalog?

You don't get to choose where you start or where you will work. You get signed by an agency, and they find the right work for you. The other peosns comment about Chicago is important; virtually all real, professional modeling work is in NY, Chicago, LA or Miami. Once you are 15, you are considerd and adult for modeling work.

If you are 5' 9"+ and 34-25-34, and even reasonably pretty, you almost certainly can be a model. Girls like that are very rare, and very much in demand. You just need to send 6 pictures to the agencies (they all want the same thing). Three pictures are full body shots, in a bikini; front, side, and rear views. No posing, no distracting background. The other three need to be head shots, front, side and 3/4 views. Hair up, no makeup, no posing.

If you are not 5' 9"+ and 34-25-34, even if you are stunningly beautiful, then you almost certainly cannot be a professional model. There is no such thing as a "petite model." Here is what they do:

Tall:

They use the same models for everything; print, runway, commercial, whatever. All models have to be qualified for runway, the best/prettiest/most interesting of them get chosen for print and commercial work. If you are a teen, you can do teen glamour modeling at any height, but you need the right personality for it - the best places to look and see what its about are trueteenbabes.com, OMG models and Sandl models. Those girls make very good money, but only before they turn 18

Is it okay for me as a 15 year old girl to take the city bus all by myself when going to work and coming back from work?

My parents had 8 kids. 5 of us went from California to Washington. I could not handle going back with them .It was a battlefield. I told my dad I'm working to pay for a ticket back . I was 13. He said ok. I took the bus 650 miles I guess got off at the bus stop at 2 am walked two simple hours home . Then ran away at 14 for week with 3 friends .It was raining and we lived in the hills. We came home 10 pm wet .My parents said nothing. They watched tv .I said nothing. That's the 70s. Now if your gone 5 hours it's a nation wide catastrophe. Then we had freedom. Now it's feel sorry for poor who have less money than you.

Should I become a Firefighter or a Police Officer?

Honestly, I've been a firefighter for 5 years now in Baltimore City, and I couldn't imagine a better job. The tangible feeling of helping out the community does a lot to keep your morale up day in and day out, good days and bad. In my opinion, neither job is more or less dangerous; on the fireground, most injuries are not burns, despite what the movies would have you believe, I have been put off duty for thrown shoulders, busted knees, and burns. I would say the majority of the injuries are joint injuries, simply because crawling around blind in an unfamiliar environment while wearing 80+ pounds of gear lends itself to tumbles down rickety stairs, falls through weakened floors, etc. Also, when adrenaline kicks in, unless you watch yourself, it's not difficult to injure yourself and not realize it.
Regarding the whole "lounging around until a call comes in" mentality: With the exception of a few "old school" departments out there, most of your time will be taken up with building inspections, hydrant inspections, maintaining certifications through coursework, and general public relations stuff. Calls will be interspersed throughout this.
With the increased reliance on the Fire Service for EMS responses, 90% of your calls will be medic assists and car accidents. All in all, pretty busy, but not unbearable.

On the flip side there is generally less competition for the police officer jobs and the pay and benefits are generally better. (15-20% higher pay for police in many jurisdictions.)
Good luck in your career choice.

How do I sign up my child for Beyond Scared Straight?

Don't it's a joke. If your kid reads the paper stating the facility isn't responsible, they will see thier rights not to be touched or hit, violently abused, kicked and whatever else, they are also advised that they aren't allowed to touch the inmates.Once your kid realizes the inmates won't seriously harm him, he'll just laugh through it. It's what I did as a kid. As far as hurting his little feelings or causing Shame, good. Juvenile delinquents don't have any when they caused offense, they rarely show any guilt or remorse when being corrected. If you ask me, they need some shame
