Wes Welker Is Out Who Do I Pick Up

Ahmad Bradshaw for Wes Welker (fantasy)?

I definitely would not drop Cedric Benson! He has some trade value 406 yds and 2 TD at the least. I would wait and keep him or sell him at his peak. Some other reasons:

- Having Bradshaw (NYG) and Steve Smith (NYG) on the same fantasy team is something that should be avoided if possible.

- I suspect that Branch and Tate will line up on either end, and Welker will remain in the slot. That means he should retain his typical numbers, which is good for you.

- Bradshaw is sharing with Brandon Jacobs, who has 172 yards and 2 TDs. He is stealing value from Bradshaw.

- The Bengals have been struggling, but as they start to put it together Cedric Benson will have equal or greater value than Bradshaw.

I would not do this trade. GL to you!

Is Wes Welker a Christian?

Is Wes Welker [of the New England Patriots] a Christian?

This is random, I know. But I was asked by a friend..so..I'm trying to figure it out for him.

Thank!

Who is Wes Welker?

Wes Welker is a proffesional wide receiver in the NFL. He went undrafted in 2004 after going to Texas Tech. He was signed by the Chargers, but cut later in the year. After going to Miami for a couple years, his career took off with the New England Patriots. He is a 5-time Pro Bowler and holds the Patriots career record for receptions. After two up and down years with the Denver Broncos, Wes still remains a free agent, as concussions have gotten in the way of his productivity. He is now also 34, which means he is in the twilight of his career, if not already done.

If you had the chance to select the franchise quarterback for your NFL team, between Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, who would you pick?

Brady. Call me biased, but have you seen the receiving corps that Brady lives with? Julian Edelman, a great receiver, but would you compare him with OBJ or Julio Jones? Chris Hogan, who went undrafted and is now an asset to the Patriot offense. Danny Amendola, another undrafted player. Sure, he has Gronk, Brandin Cooks and Philip Dorsett, but Gronk is incredibly fragile and the last two were this year’s acquisitions.Brady makes players great. He has had superstars in the past, such as Randy Moss, but he made players such as Wes Welker, Julian Edelman, and Chris Hogan good. This is why I would take Brady. He can work with practically anyone and put together a championship offense.

Is it more valuable to draft players or trade picks and pick up undrafted players?

If you never draft players you’re probably trading your picks for something you’ll never use - more picks. Pick for player trades involving early picks are rare because teams basically never feel like they have too many first or second round quality players.Undrafted players who make it are a tremendous value, and can be an unbelievable value. Take one undersized and kind of slow but feisty and quick wide receiver / kick returner, invest 3 years of coaching and a ridiculously small amount of money, and wind up with Wes Welker. Everyone talks about Brady, with good reason, but Welker is another guy who would have gone first overall if anyone knew the kind of career he was going to have. But building a team with nothing but undrafted players wouldn’t work very well. There are some very good players who went undrafted, and sometimes you’ll get a lightning strike like Welker or Cameron Wake, but overall there’s a lot more talent in the draft than there is out of it.Where there’s real value is if you can be like New England and find first round talent in the second and third rounds consistently. That’s the sweet spot.

Rate my fantasy team 10 points to the most honest answer?

niether of the QBs are great, but u never know, cutler might step up or manning could go phsyco with the confidence he got from the super bowl
RB- AP is a beast and if Johnson stays healthy he is a top tier guy
WR-Maybe your weakest spot, Jennings is great and wes welker was good last year, but i think teams r going to focus on him this year and try to keep him quite, trade VJ, he isn't worth the annoyance he will cause because know he is number 3 for rivers (Gates, Chambers) so i don't think u can expect anythhing great from him
TE-Clark is a solid pick probably second or third best in the league
K-Pretty good, look around and see but not a nessacy change
DST-the bucs are always at least middle of the pack so unless u can get like minniesota or San Diego don't try 2 trade them

How'd did u gat AP with the 5th pick, somebody in your league is an idiot, but good drafting overall

What does it mean when a wide receiver is only a slot receiver?

The slot is the area between the last offensive lineman on the line and the wide receiver that is split out to that end of the field. In other words, any receiver that isn't split out wide at the ends of the formation is playing from the slot. When someone's called a slot receiver, it means they primarily play from this position. But, what qualities do you typically see in a slot receiver? Most teams place their best all-around receivers on either end of the field. There, they are typically defended by the best cornerbacks on the other team, who have to play on an island some distance away from the rest of the action on the field. If an outside guy is enough of a threat, the team may have one of the safeties help that corner, pulling that safety away from run support and anything else that's happening in the middle of the field. The slot receiver is a little different from those wideouts on most teams. Typically, he is not as talented all-around as the outside guys, and often he's not as prototypically tall, but he has good hands and quickness. Slots typically run short routes and crossing patterns over the middle of the field, finding gaps in zones, or get quick separation from a lesser defender (like a linebacker, or the team's 3rd/4th corner) to get a quick first down when the other team is blitzing. In other words, slot receivers are often possession receivers used to extend possessions. They may not have the top end speed or leaping ability to get deep passes, but their quickness gets them separation early in plays for short or intermediate yardage, and they are trusted to not drop the pass, regardless of what hit is coming.Occasionally, a team will break this pattern and throw a deep threat like Mike Wallace into the slot for a few plays, but guys like that spend most of their career split out wide.Wes Welker is probably the most prototypical example of a slot receiver. He's only 5'9″ and runs a 4.65 40-yard dash, which is below average for a wide receiver (4.55). But in the slot, his top speed doesn't matter, as he's mostly running crossing routes and other 5 to 15 yard patterns, and his hands are great. He led the Patriots in catches nearly every season, including when Randy Moss was there, and has an outside shot at the Hall of Fame.
