yes it works wonders. i had pretty bad acne and after about six months on the medicine my face was perfectly clear and i havent had any pimples since. i took pills for my acne along with a doctor prescribed gel for my back. they both worked realy well. there are a few side-effects. when you are on medicine your skin will dry out and be very sensitive to sun. just keep lotion with you for dry skin and always have chapstick. also, the pills i took had birth side effects so you cant get anyone pregnant or get pregnant because if you do the baby will be deeformed. im not sure how that works tho. you dont have to worry about any of that once you are off the medicine tho :P hope my answer was helpful and good luck. i know its hard when you have acne
