First, it is a lot easier for a younger person to open up a food truck or small delivery shop, whereas opening a fancy restaurant or a fast food franchise requires quite a bit of up front capital, which typically means someone older.I have encountered owners anywhere from people in their early 20’s to people in their 70’s. I think you need to be a lot more specific about the type of restaurant, and even then I am not sure how knowing the average — or median — age of restaurant owners of that type would give you any meaningful data about the success of that type of restaurant in general.
