For.Are you honestly assuming there is an age when someone should no longer receive anything for Christmas?I’d say it’s subjective based on behavior. How old are YOU because that number is the age YOU are too old to buy presents for. How dare you decide that it is EVER okay not to buy a Christmas present for someone you care about, oh wait, sounds like you don’t care about that person.Instead of coal, I’m nominating you to receive a flaming bag of dog poop for Christmas.
Is it rude to ask for money for Christmas?
I don't really want anything for Christmas, but there is something I want, but its way after Christmas. My boyfriend has asked me to go on vacation with him. He is going regardless if I can go, but he really wants me to go, and I really want to go. I just need to put up my end of the money. I just need to save up the money. Is it rude to ask for money to put towards this for Christmas?
When are kids too old to make Christmas gift lists?
My children are almost the same ages as yours. I ask them for a list knowing that they will have a variety of items on it. I ask them to put "wish" items as well as realistic items. I use it as a guideline when I shop - also for the relatives when they ask what the kids want. I find the pre-teen and teen years to be very difficult in terms of shopping. Many of them are label conscious. Heck - they've also played games that I've never heard of at a friend's house. I also thinks it allows the parent to get them something special that they want with a bit of surprise. My kids will each get one "big surprise" as well as a couple of less expensive gifts. A couple of gifts are items that they need for sports that they already know about -- pads, skates, etc. Your daughter is old enough to ask why she hasn't given you a list. You're never too old for Christmas gifts. But I have noticed that as you get older you don't get as many as you were when you were a kid. Look at your parents and your grandparents. While little 9 year old Timmy over here has at least 10 all the adults have 1-3 gifts.

I won’t speak for all teenagers but I’ll try to answer as best as I can.Younger Teenage Boys ( 13–15 years ) :The majority of boys this age in the town I live are either really into gaming on their Xbox’s and PlayStations or really into sports. For someone into gaming, you could get them a headset, new controllers, new games etc.For the teens that are into sport, find out what sport they are into and maybe get them some new sports equipment, a gym bag or a gym membership. My 14 year old brother is into his sports and I know that he really wants a book with exercises that will help him get fitter and stronger.Younger teenage girls ( 13–15 years ) :When I was 13, I really enjoyed collecting nail polishes and painting my nails. I also liked to experiment with makeup and try out different looks. Makeup could be a good idea if the girl/s like to wear makeup.Another idea is to get some cute stationary items, diaries, backpacks etc. as 13 is generally the age at which you start high school. I already have an ipod touch, camera, cell phone, & all that good stuff. So i cant think of what i should ask for as my big gift? I ussually get one big gift and a bunch of smaller ones. What should i ask for for christmas? So far the only thing i have on my list is an ihome. Is it rude to buy someone a Christmas gift even after they specifically asked you not to buy them anything?
Yes.The whole point of giving a gift is suppose to be for the receivers benefit. Therefore, their wishes should be paramount. If you are giving someone something that they don’t want this has become about you and what you want, and not about the other person at all. In that case you’ve turned what is supposed to be a selfless act into a very selfish one.Now I don’t think you have to ignore your own feelings altogether (I don’t gift to people that I don’t actually WANT to give gifts to, ie no obligation gifts) and I won’t give someone something that they want that I personally have a problem with. But to just blatantly ignore someones wishes defeats the entire purpose.
