I'm going away for 5 days, can I leave my cat home alone or should I hire someone to pet sit?
If your cat is a pet and not feral, definetly do not leave it alone. Hire a trusted cat sitter or board it into a cat hotel. There are too many things that can go wrong leaving a pet by itself without some human supervision. The longest I have left my cat alone was for 24 hours, and even for that amount of time I was worried about her. I understand that there are many automatic devices to feed, water and manage cat litter, and I have used these devices with generally good results, however my concern is not with food, water or litter control. There are many things that can go wrong when cats are left alone. Without their human caregivers around, a cat, being such a curious and intelligent creature, could get into situations that cannot be foreseen. My advice is not to leave your cat alone.
Should I take my cat to the vet?
My cat scratched my little cousin pretty bad for pulling at his ears, and his dad kicked him in the stomach so hard his back legs gave out and he dragged his way out of the room and under my bed. (I was not in the room for this, but was livid when I was told). I took him to the vet and they said he was fine... But tonight while laying on my stomach, I pet him and I realized he has a slight tremour. I at first thought is was purring, but then I realized it was his right side of his body exclusively. He is only a little more than a year old but his legs are a slim bit shorter than most cats, despite him being long. I am unsure if he has always had it or if it is a development from the kick. Its expensive to go to a vet and be told nothing is wrong with him, but what if I tell the vet about the tremour? Is it normal for that? Should I take him again and press on the issue? He seems otherwise find, despite his general strange behavior for a cat. I am worried I will dish out another few hundred dollars to find all cats do this and I am oblivious to it.

I cancelled many a dates, and luckily I will outlive my cat. Im sure one of my other 10+ cats will eat my face. Do you wanna join the "Future Lonely Cat Ladies of America" club? FLCLA?

How humid is your area? If the surrounding humidity is low an evaporative cooler could be able to keep the trailer temperature down during the day. Otherwise buy an aircon unit and if you have to replace a window with a frame and acrylic sheet. The free standing ones are efficient. You don't have to have then turned up high but just enough to keep room temperature below 80F Buying one of these, and they can be found for not much over $100, will be cheaper than boarding for a month.
