Can you please give me the advantages and disadvantages of globalisation/globalization in reference to the economy. How can Britain compete effectively in a global economy?
Britain needs to focus on high quality. We have one of the best university systems in the world. We have some of the most efficient car plants in the world (as long as they aren’t British run). And we have some excellent mechanisms set up to encourage skilled people from other countries to immigrate to Britain.We need to invest, especially in education and healthcare (rather than cutting both back to the bone) and in housing. We can’t compete with China on cost grounds, but there’s no reason we shouldn’t be able to compete on quality with anywhere.
