Which type of diabetes is genetic?

Should I stop being a vegetarian?

I've been a vegetarian two years ago for 6 months and quit. Now I've been a vegetarian since New Year's. But my body and hands are shaking and I have diabetes running in my family, and my therapist told me that having high blood sugar (I eat a lot of sugar) and being a vegetarian is very unhealthy and could cause diabetes. Perhaps the answer to that part is to eat less sugar. But he also said that we evolved to eat meat and that I should. But I like to be a vegetarian because awful things happen to animals in slaughterhouses. And getting protein without meat is becoming very difficult. I was told that a piece of meat about half the size of a remote-control has about as much protein as half-a-gallon of milk and I would require A LOT of beans to get the protein I actually need. this is my typical lunch at school. in a paper bag, a stale roll of white bread with nothing on it, an old apple and a generic boxed juice. when i have some change I buy something from the cafeteria instead, cup o noodles and an orange soda. is this gonna hurt me over the long term? i'm 15.

I am 5'3 230 pds I walk 2mi 3 times a week I want to loose weight but I am not budgeing.. if I cut my calories to 1400or to 1000 will it help me. I have been at this weight for 3 years .
