What Are Diferences Between Clothes In The Past And Clothes In The Present

Guys- do you still wear clothes that your ex got you as a present?

Most guys won't even remember where they got their cloths...

What's the difference between "Present Progressive", "Present Continuous" and "Immediate Present"?

This is AMAZING to me. They've done it again!

I'm a spanish teacher and I know all of the tenses but it seems that they've decided to rename them again. This has happened in the recent past too.

I'm an electronics engineer and also a windows programmer. Funny how things that I understood deeply 20 years ago are now called many (much too many to mention) things today. Different names, but the same identical thing. Somebody got a PHd. out of that but companies went bust when they changed the language. Seems it's happening yet again.

Present progressive is now. "I speak," I do. That's it. Known in my day as the present tense. To me that makes more sense. ahh - "present progressive" - present tense. Learn that and shut-up about the "present progressive tense."

Present continuous is what should be called be gerands. This is eazy. Words that end in "ing" in English and other forms in grammer. Swimming is fun - there ya go. There's an afgument going on about how a verb (swimming) can be used as a noun in this example sentence but we'll let it to the so called "experts" to battle this out. To me, this "present continuous" tense is nothing more than (in english) words that end in "ing." Why make it more crazy than that??

Immediate present is just another fancy name for the present tense (I wonder who got another PHd. for renaming that!).

It bothers me that in industry some dude can just rename something that already exit and get a PHd. for doing something that simple and now it shows up here in languages too. Where does this **** end!

Past, Present, Future ring?

I have a three stone ring, however I do not look at it as a past, present future ring as the side stones are different shapes then the center (p,p and f rings are all the same stone). However, you are correct. They were introduced into the jewelry world as an anniversary ring to symbolize a wonderful marriage that will continue to foster and grow. Many people are now getting them as engagement rings as they are now no longer only seen as use for anniversaries.

Originally, an anniversary ring was place on the same finger as your engagement and wedding band (in between the two) so they were often rows of diamonds. Now it is common for women to wear anniversary bands on their right hand and they will get larger rings like the "past, present and future". However, if you go to a jewelry store there will be an entire section of anniversary rings for you to look at of all shapes and sizes. (Of course many of these are used as engagement rings too).

So, in a nut shell you have many different items to choose from (if you want jewelry) including pendants and bracelets (both also available in the p,p and f format). Find something that you love and is meaningful to you and don't worry about what they have been classified as.

Congrats on ten years and here's to many more!

Why do my parents always get me clothes for Christmas?

Wow, that sucks, I'd be pissed. That happened to me once and I was so mad

But maybe they only went to the clothing store and that's not all they're getting you. There's still a week left after all. Or maybe there is another stash somewhere in your house (or your neighbor's house) with more stuff in it.

But a lot of parents do this a lot of them get their children all clothes and necessities for Christmas. Do you know why? Because they know they will have to buy that stuff later so they get cheap and buy it for Christmas as a means to save money for themselves later because they won't have to buy it. I hear parents talking about it all the time, laughing at us behind our backs. They are basically using Christmas as an excuse to save money. And if you question they bring up the "you should be grateful, think of the starving children" speech. It is tricky, and smart.

Bring up your disdain for it, but in a tricky way. Bring up how a friend got only clothes for Christmas and how you feel bad. Bring up how you believe some parents get cheap and do the above. Bring up how disappointed you'd be if you were in a situation where you have nothing for entertainment for Xmas and basically anything you can think of, but in a tricky way. Make them feel bad. Oh, and be slight. Don't do anything to piss them off because then you really won't get anything...

What is the difference between Indian ethnic wear and Western wear?

Clothes leave a great impact on our personality. Recently, most of the youngsters have started following western culture. In this scenario whether to wear western wear or traditional cloth is become hot potato. Let me first tell you difference between western wear and indian ethnic wear.Indian ethnic wear is traditional clothing style for both men and women. It’s emerged from Indian tradition, culture and region. Saree, Salwar Kameez, Kurtis and Lehenga Choli are types of ethnic wear which women can wear during festival and functions to get traditional look. Dhoti, kafni, kurta and sherwani are men’s ethnic wear style. In this rat race life, we have to go with the flow so taking up new trends is not an issue. I personally feel western wear gives freedom of expression. You can wear it in any innovative way to get bold and classy look. It is preferable by young age people and teenagers the most. Women western wear consist jeans, denim, tshits, shrug, cargos and shorts. Jeans, Cargo, t-shirts, capri are types in men’s western wear.
