What Are Excellent Reasons For Why I Did Not Request Unemployment Benefits On Time. They Say Its

How long does it take to receive unemployment benefits once you've requested payment in Texas?

The "waiting period" is the first week for which you otherwise qualify for benefits. If you reported that you did not do the required number of job searches that week, then that week will NOT count as your "waiting week" because you did not qualify for benefits that week! Since you told them you had not done the required number of searches, they are now re-reviewing your claim, and will do a follow up investigation with you to determine if you are truly "able, available, and actively seeking fulltime work." That is why the website says that they are "reviewing your claim." You got their attention.

In answer to your original question: Claimants who filed after being laid off from their jobs are getting benefits 4-6 weeks after filing. Those who quit or were fired sometimes take longer. Once you are approved, you normally get the funds every two weeks, a day or two after making your payment request. But your case is no longer in the "approved" status.

Once you request payment on texas unemployment how long does it take to receive it?

2-3 days after you put in your request. It is pretty awesome how quick they are considering how many cases they have to do.

You get it in the form of a debit from Chase bank. You are allowed one free withdrawal each time so what I used to do since we do not have a chase bank in Victoria where I live I would go to my bank and have the whole amount taken from that card and put into my bank account. That helps me in a few different ways. First off I do not need to keep track of how much I have in a couple separate accounts. Also they cannot track what I do with the money. I am not saying for sure they do track it but in case they do I do not have to worry about it. One caveat. If you have not been told for sure you are going to get unemployment then it will take longer then if they have said for sure you are going to get it. Every other week you will call in and request payment and that is when it comes quickly. One last tip go ahead and do it on the internet Sunday instead of waiting till Monday for the fastest service. Where are you located?

Can one still collect unemployment benefits if the job they found pay less than the previous one?

That would be fraud. Surprised you cannot see this.
Imagine the scandal in the press if news got out of a fully employed person trying to claim Unemployment Benefit.
You must be a very greedy person with no thought for those who are genuinely unemployed with no income at all

This is an unemployment question?

I applied for unemployment last week. I was discharged for what they said was petty theft, I received a letter in the mail from the unemployment agency " Wage Transcript and Determination" is what it says at the top. On the letter it says that I can get unemployment for 5 months and 130.00 a week. Under the tittle it says "this determination tells if you have enough wages to establish a claim. However, Benefits may be denied if you Quit, Were Fired, or are not able to work. If theres an issue you will be contacted to provide more information." Its been about a week and a half since I made the claim. And 3 days since I received the letter. Whats the possibility I will get the money? I haven't went to court about anything yet so Im innocent until proven guilty right???

What happens when you have an overpayment of Unemployment?

Okay, so the ESC has noticed that two of the places my husband worked reported that he was working for them during the time he filed and claimed unemployment. One place he did claim during the time they say, but it was a temporary service, and the lady he dealt with there told him, because the job he was in was only a temporary job, and not secured, that he could continue to draw unemployment.

The other place that they said reported he was working at, he had been let go from, and that was the reason he was filing unemployment. He didn't work for that company at all when he filed unemployment.

They said that they can either find it as "fraud" and get paid back, or they can find it as not fraud, and still get paid back.

I don't see it as fraud since he did exactly as a representative from a staffing agency told him to do. *shrugs*

But how will they get payment back, when we don't have a lot of money coming in, and we have a 15 mos. old daughter. Will they garnish wages, or what?

Also, what if they find is as fraud, what could happen as punishment in NC? The lady I spoke with said that it would keep him from being able to file for unemployment for a year, but I can't seem to find anything online about it.

Im really nervous and upset about all of this....

I was denied unemployment compensation?

I worked at the same place for 6 months, My ex boss told me once he never approves any past employees request for unemployment, Why would I get a letter saying that I don`t have enough earned income credits?

If the employer doesn't appear at a telephone unemployment hearing...?

My husband requested an appeals hearing, after being denied unemployment benefits for the past 10 weeks. When he phoned in, the judge was waiting for his employer to call in, while he was explaining his reason for quitting. The employer never called.

My husband left this employer, because it was on-call, and paid a little over minimum wage-- not a lot when you have a family of four, and you call in to hear there's no work for the week. My husband looked for work elsewhere, and found something that offered over twice what he was making-- and full time at that. So he quit his job and began work at the new place. However, as times have been hard, the new job decided to close the plant down (after him being there just 11 days) and lay-off all new employees-- permanently. (That's why he filed for unemployment. And I guess since he wasn't there that long, they are basing his benefit amount on the wages of the other job instead.)

If anyone knows anything (like would he more than likely win the appeals hearing?) that would be great. Thanks!

Can i still recieve unemployment benefits for misconduct?

Unemployment claim under review but got a letter saying TWC can pay benefits?

Just wondering does this mean I was approved, although my claim is stil under review? I was sent home from my job 2/2/16 cause the company wanted to save money and have not been back since, filed for unemployment 2/28/16 and got a call from unemployment on 2/21/2016. On 2/22/16 a letter was mailed out saying they can pay me benefits but the weeks I requested payment still says 0 and my claim still says under review and its 2/24/16.

How can you collect unemployment if you quit in California?

If you quit in California, you are not eligible for unemployment, because you had a job, and you chose to leave it. That’s said, I have had many employees quit and still file for and receive unemployment. The valid reasons for unemployment insurance are you were laid off, and ready to work immediately. Here is the list from the website:EligibilityAn individual must meet all unemployment insurance (UI) eligibility requirements in order to receive benefit payments. Eligibility requirements must be met when a UI claim is filed and whenever a certification is submitted before benefits can be paid by the Employment Development Department (EDD).Filing a UI ClaimAn individual who files for UI benefits must meet specific eligibility requirements before benefits can be paid. Individuals must:Have received enough wages during the base period to establish a claim.*Be totally or partially unemployed.Be unemployed through no fault of his/her own.Be physically able to work.Be available for work.Be ready and willing to immediately accept work.Be actively looking for work.Be approved for training before training benefits can be paid.*Employers report wages to the EDD for each employee. The EDD uses this information to decide if an individual earned enough wages in a base period to establish a UI claim. A base period is a specific 12-month period. For example, if a claimant files a claim that begins in April, May, or June, the claim is calculated based on wages paid to the claimant between January 1 and December 31 of the prior year. The minimum weekly benefit amount is $40 and the maximum weekly benefit amount is $450. For more information about how the Department calculates a UI claim, review,How Unemployment Benefits are Computed (DE 8714AB), A Guide to Benefits and Employment Services (DE 1275A), and the California Employer’s Guide (DE 44).Certifying for UI Benefits
