The Mafia is a good example of what criminal teen gangs can become as a sustainable business model. They grew up, raised kids in the “business”, and continued to intimidate and fleece people.They were not a “successful stateless society”. They didn’t protect people from invasion. They only addressed little street crimes like pickpockets to minimize the competition. They didn’t care about murders or rapes unless it was personal. That’s not government.They certainly didn’t provide what we think of as government services like infrastructure. If they did that plus defend from invaders, THEN we would call it feudalism.
